These folks were great. I had a complicated issue with a new AMD build, (bent socket pins.) I had a couple of other guys look at it and none were able to repair the board. Purchased a used Lenovo T14 in May. LT crashed hard in Sept. Had to pay to for troubleshooting to find out cause. I had to initiate all the phone calls to get status, progress, etc.- approximately 6 calls. It took 3 weeks to get the updates and answers. Diagnositcs pointed to faulty RAM. DCS said there was nothing they could do or would do about it. So, for 3.5 months having one of their used products I'm out $550.00. I would NOT recommend Desert Commputer Solutions to anyone. I side note, I was able to purchase a brand new (better) LT for same cost as their used LTs (Staples) and added a warranty for a few hundred more. read more

I brought my Dell XPS 15 laptop in because the keyboard and trackpad repeatedly stopped working minutes after powering on. They initially told me it was fixed, but I took it home and discovered the same issues. After I brought it back, the staff went out of their way to help me get it fixed quickly, and Jennifer personally extensively tested it after everything had been cleaned and reseated. The pricing was very fair and cheaper than other options in the area, the status of my computer was well-communicated, and I feel like I got a good value for the work that was done. My custom PC ended up getting blue screened and Windows Auto Repair did nothing, also have no friends in this state as I recently moved out here. Went with these folks and I know some stuff, but not everything and still think it's very odd that when I have 2 separate hard drives, 1 which houses only the Operating System, why it was necessary to wipe out both hard drives when the issue was the actual Operating System (Windows 11) because at the same time, when your company charges an extra fee to "try" and save any data from your Hard Drive(s) I guess it'd make sense to just wipe them both when I declined. Overall, the cost was expensive and ever since getting it back I've been having issues on getting software to download onto my D Drive (my largest which holds everything EXCEPT Windows 11) Oh yea and also for some reason ever since I got it back my GFX Drivers think they're out of date, but they then say "up to date but my system doesnt meet requirements for Windows 11" which is very odd since I've never once seen that issue and I know my rig is more then capable of running a simple Windows Operating System. So besides the blue screen being gone, my computers almost in worst shape then when I left it. Would've been great if they could have looked at my current settings or even understood and took the minute to install the OS to my C Drive and setup my D Drive to be the default for all downloads and files. Instead, my friend is going to help me get it all sorted out and if this happens again I'll now have a friend to rely on. Definitely not coming back here to spend my money. read more

Poor service, false diagnostics. I brought my PC in due to vid crashing and hdmi feed not recieved by my monitor, they concluded and recommended i reinstall my OS so i did and it didnt fix anything. So i got a 2nd opinion at META PCs and they quickly found it was just one of the power lines on my strimmer wasnt fully connected, fixed and no issues since. I called DCS for a refund for a false diagnostic since now i had to pay diagnostics twice and they denied it and basically insinuated my claims were impossible and maybe i dont know how to reinstall my OS and i should have paid and let them do it. I personally feel they just want their money and not their customer satisfaction. because of their unwillingness to admit and rectify a mistake, Will never go here again. read more

It's Good to find a Company lead by an Owner with integrity! Been to the show room a couple of times and I get knowledge folks that can speak to a novice. They have a great selection of computers to fit every budget. Which is a relief if you have visited any box stores. I didn't have sticker shock . I did some research and I was able to clean up my old computer for even less. Went in thinking I was going to buying a new one that's when I had a conversation with Christopher. I did a quick online search and found this place was less than 1/2 mile away. We needed a simple USB cord to connect a printer as our network printer connections went down and we had a same-day deadline. The owner of this place searched the front and back of house and was not able to locate one (sold out) ... but ended up talking to their technician and allowed me to BORROW his personal cord. Dishonest. Dont let them in your home. Would reccomend performing surgery on yourself before using this company. Purchased Lap top from Christopher (owner) paid half cash half check. Total was $400. Well I had just returned from deployment to Afghanistan and In traveling home my account was froze. Check did not pay out. Month later I call to purchase another comp and pay off old one. Christopher uses craigs list to set me up to come to his home to Possibly buy back original. I get out of my car with a bag. He reaches into my bag, pulls out laptop and charger and walks inside and locks the door. Never asking me for payment or even telling me what was going on. This is not the type of business you want to deal with. Police report filed, investigation started with Phoenix PD. He's a snake. read more

Older Caucasian lady is so rude and nasty. Had the door locked during business hours when NO ONE else was in the store. Opened the door and rudely said "can I help you!?" As if we were intruding on her. After she hesitantly let us in she didn't greet us. She made no apologies or explanations as to why the door was locked during business hours. These computers are cheap and defective. You truly get what you pay for. The lady that works here is too rude and unhelpful it's not worth the stress. The first laptop we got has a defective camera. The camera color only appears in black and white, then changes to beige and for a very rare seconds it'll appear in color. This is truly embarrassing when you have your camera on for work. Also know this store doesn't exchange anything. You're stuck with crappy quality computers that you basically wasted money on. The second laptop is a dell and has NO CAMERA. That's right. Have you ever heard of a laptop with absolutely no camera? Ugh I wouldn't recommend anybody to come to this horrible store that sells defective merchandise!!!! After many PC desktop builds over the years, this one (I5 8th gen.) didn't even get to the BIOS. I am embarrassed to admit that it seems it was due to a wiring error on my part. Desert Computer Systems were very professional and charged a bare minimum fee. They checked out each of the components and reworked the wiring harnesses, which fixed the problem. This review is being written using that machine! Hopefully we won't need their services again for a while, but it is nice to know you have good backup if you do run into problems. read more

Initially, I posted a review that when I got a wireless adapter there was no selection and the one they had was over priced. I received a call from Christopher explaining they weren't Best Buy. That price is what I expected from Best Buy, not a store who knows what hardware works and what prices are reasonable.
