The tasting room is full of personality, with all kinds of luxury-themed and wine-themed novelties adorning the space. There's a decent size bar with a pretty good selection of wines, as well as a couple of small tables as well as an outdoor terrace. If you are people watcher like me, you'll want a seat on the terrace. The tasting room has so much built-in personality that I imagine it would be a great place to host something like a bridal shower, birthday party, or some other equally fabulous event. Now let's get to the wines. If you are a sweet wine fan, then this place is for you. For around $20, you will receive about a 3 oz pour of three different kinds of wines. Ask the server about the different types of wine flights available for purchase. She really knows her stuff! Since it was hot outside, I opted for the white wine flight. The wines varied in both sweetness and flavor but overall I was impressed with each and every one of them. I think the passion fruit wine was my favorite out of all three... And it was really difficult to choose a favorite. When it's time to settle up, the restaurant provides you with a receipt that has a QR code which takes you to a website where you can pay and leave a tip. 16,000 steps later, I finished a rather engaging and physically taxing Amazing Race event in National Harbor! At its end, my friend mentioned the new wine bar, and I remembered seeing it on my previous visit before it opened! Well it is open now, and we decided to stop in! In love with the decor, it's very inviting. There are a lot of floral notes to it, and the music is quite chill. The vibe screams summer, but I would be happy to drop by the place any time of year. My friend and I each got a wine flight -- my friend went with sweet wines, and I decided to go for the staff favorites. I love how when the flights are served, they left the bottles as well for informational purposes. I loved the pinot grigio and rose that I had! The red blend was good too, but not quite as refreshing as the others... guess it was because of the weather, haha! All the while, my friend and I shared some delicious truffle popcorn (they have light bites), listened to great music, and chatted with the super friendly staff. I haven't been to National Harbor for a while but I came out for an event and this spot is so cute! They have a great selection of wines and also offer a few slushee options for non wine drinkers. Since I was there for an event I purchased a flight and a flatbread pizza. As far as the food this is not the wine bar you want to show up super hungry just because the food options are minimal, but you're in National Harbor, plenty of food options all around. Come here for the wine! The sommeliers are great and really take the time to give you a great wine tasting experience complete with some wine education. Doc is the general manager there and he greets everyone and makes you feel welcome. It is a beautifully decorated space in a great location right across from Silver Diner and right down the street from the parking garage. read more

I think that my only "con" is the selection of music. I think that music as a background should be maybe more instrumental, along the lines of smooth jazz. This establishment was booked for our formal family event. We booked the venue from 6:30-9:30. The owner had booked a photoshoot with Taraji Henson ahead of our event. The photoshoot did not end until after 7pm and then we had to wait an additional hour for the setup to be completed. The owner never addressed our family she came out and said " Thank you, thank you, thank you" and went back inside. When the setup of the food was complete someone from the staff opened the door and said the food was ready. We served our own food, when she told us there would be servers provided. She also provided dixie paper plates as our dinner plates. The bartender was extremely rude and got smart with a child when she told her she found the top to the ranch dressing on her plate. Shanna (the owner) also accused my family of taking 12 wine glasses. We prepaid for wine tickets for our family, the wine was mediocre. We tried to reach out and have a conversation about our experience and Shanna was rude and condescending and she still hasn't apologized for our event starting late. We love to support small businesses especially black owned and woman owned; however this establishment needs a course in customer service and professionalism because the owner was definitely intoxicated. read more

When my friends and I entered, everything seemed promising. The ambiance is so cute. A group already there seemed to be having a great time, and the small group at the bar seemed to be receiving good service. Unfortunately the service for our table was incredibly slow. The food was underwhelming. We ordered a charcuterie board. When it didn't arrive after some time, we were told they were low on kitchen staff. We received the charcuterie, but "board" is a generous term. It's a snack box, with a cardboard bottom and plastic top. We ordered one, and were brought two snack boxes--not realizing that we'd then be charged for two charcuterie "boards". Even if they were low on kitchen staff... not sure why these refrigerated snack boxes took so long to make. Seeing how great some reviews are, I was really hoping to share that sentiment. Hopefully over time the staff learns to extend the service that groups receive at the bar to the remainder of the establishment. read more

This is really what the National Harbor needed. Not only is it a wine bar, but its a black woman owned wine bar! I went in on a weekend afternoon and it was super vibey. Good music, good ambiance and great people. They have a large selection of wines and I really like their flight offerings as it allows you to try a few things. They honestly won me over with the slushy because like who doesn't love a good spiked slushy on a warm day?! My friend and I stopped by after the ice cream festival because we wanted to support this black owned business. We met the owners daughter as we were walking in. She was very friendly and helpful. We sat down to purchase a glass of wine. The owner walked past us and she looked right at us.... For ten minutes without saying "hello" or "would you like to order". The servers serviced the same two groups that were sitting at the bar but they did not wait on us. I will never return. I hope everyone else has a better experience. We walked out since we weren't being acknowledged. Do better !!!!!! I added some photos of the inside. Update: 6/23.... It wasn't busy. There were only five people in the establishment including us. We had a self guided wine tasting and the overall service was amazing. My favorite was the large charcuterie board and cinnamon bun cake (OMG delicious)! They actually cut the straws in half for the wine slushy, which feels unsanitary and like the business is cost saving. The smoked salmon charcuterie board that comes out is not what one would necessarily expect. There was no board, there was a cardboard tray with chopped and unchopped vegetables, salmon pushed in the corner of the cardboard tray and a tin of salmon cream cheese. The flatbread tasted like a microwave pizza. We wanted to support the business but in good conscience couldn't go back. And the "event" was advertised as wine and RnB, so we expected live music. There was a speaker on the patio. I told our server that I liked one of the wines in my flight and might order a bottle to take home. The next thing we knew the server was at the table with an open bottle of the wine and three glasses. It's like her head was in the clouds. I advised her that I didn't order a bottle for the table and she stood there as if I would change my mind if she hesitated. Very odd behavior on the part of the server. "Might order a bottle to go" and "would like to order a bottle to stay" are very different. She also didn't know how to describe the items on the food menu. We were generous in adding 20% gratuities to our bills. 20% was not warranted. read more
