I told my significant other the first time we came here that I didn't feel comfortable rating this place. It's more of his spot. I didn't want to rate it with my opinion when I don't smoke cigars. Fast forward to this past Memorial Day weekend, we came back. I was shocked to see the place so empty on a Holiday. I saw familiar faces in there. I also saw the "family"environment. Where everybody knows your name And they're always glad you came You wanna go where people know People are all the same You wanna go where everybody knows your name. Yup I literally sang that song! lol Hope you did too! Loved the band playing on Monday, was different from the last band. Great variety. Overall there are just a bunch of men smoking cigars. Some women do come in but usually they are smoking too or are with significant others. The smoke never makes me feel icky. It's super ventilated. This is definitely a cigar bar, lounge, bar all in one. I'd say I wouldn't come with my girls but I would most definitely accompany my beau! So Ladies if your man is trying to drag you here, you'll be happy. I know I am! Super comfy vibe! Great bartenders and super clean! Woman's restroom is alway CLEAN!

Stumbled across this gem while in Old Town. Visited on a Wednesday night around 8pm. This place was huge. We sat at the bar for a nightcap. Marlon took phenomenal care of us. He was very informative on the cigar selections and suggested the perfect one to pair with our tequila! There was a live blues and jazz band. There is plenty of seating to see the band. The level with the band is where patrons are allowed to smoke cigars. There is also a smoking area on the basement level with a dj! They have a couple of dining rooms which are on a smoke free level. Great atmosphere! I look forward to returning and trying the southern cuisine!

Walked in a little before midnight on a rainy Saturday night. We got a great table right up front. The ambiance was really chill. The smell of cigars was in the air. I am generally repulsed by smoke, but it was subtle and didn't offend me. Even at nearly midnight the customer service was really good. The drinks were okay. The band sounded great. I would definitely recommend for a chill late night vibe.

Some changes in bar staff, some for the better, others not. Still a good place to smoke a stick or two.

We love this place. The atmosphere is amazing, the other people that come are fun and it's just always a good time. Basin has a great cigar and whiskey list. It's just a great time! The bartenders are great and they come clear the items and check on you. We love it!

Taking a Monday night stroll I came upon this spot. Free admission and the band was phenomenal. The bartender was friendly and I enjoyed myself there. Great for solo, couples or a group.

Stopped in here to listen to some music and smoke cigars. Was seated close to the stage and wish we had sat farther back. Got bumped quite a bit and a group came in and lingered behind us. Otherwise, enjoyed the band that was playing there, the server was very nice and liked the overall vibe. Just need to remember to pick an area that is less trafficked next time. An awkward setup is the restrooms are upstairs and you need to pass through the side of the stage. Gets tricky when they are in a middle of a set.

Of course, the very moment the fireworks were to go off a pouring rain began. Grr. Our aim at Vola's was to get some drinks and dessert sitting outside. We put our name on the waiting list and were seated about 40 minutes later in the section on King St. Service was very good. My friends were drinking hard seltzers and margaritas. I opted for Vola's hot coffee, which just didn't taste very good, even when camouflaged with cream. For dessert, we ordered the chocolate fudge cake, vanilla bean trifle and Audrey's key lime pie. The chocolate fudge cake was very rich and very tasty. But even I, as a chocolate lover, would have preferred that the cake had come with some vanilla ice cream to balance things out. The key lime pie with Chantilly cream was good with a sharp lime flavor. I ordered the Vanilla Bean Trifle. This dessert came with a blackberry compote, Chantilly cream, whipped cream and a crispy thin butterscotch tuile wafer. The flavors in the trifle were great, but because the dessert was served at nearly room temperature, it wasn't very appealing. To be best enjoyed, this dessert should have been chilled.

I went in expecting a place that specializes in chocolate and deserts. Turns out that's not really accurate. The environment is sensual and fantastical and beautiful, but this is really a bar and coffee shop that also sells boxed chocolates. Their actual menu had one chocolate item, a cake, which they were put of when I came. I learned they were out of the chocolate cake only after I ordered a cab sauv to go with chocolate cake, so I ended up spending an additional $30 on packaged chocolates to go with my wine and that I didn't really care for. Likewise I was not thrilled with the brioche grilled cheese small plate. It said it was a trio of mini grilled cheeses served with a soup shot for $12. So I was expecting tomato soup and three little grilled cheeses wither on mini slider buns or cut like tea sandwiches. Oh no. These were Itty bitty little toasts and the soup shot was...French onion? French onion is made with beef broth and I don't eat meat so my friend tried it and did not like it. The toasts were...miniscule. And a little burned (because small things burn). I would rather just have a real grilled cheese. We also got fries, which were fine. The cocktails however - delightful. I saw cocktails going out to other people. Gorgeous. The garnishes were a delight. My friend got a bees knees garnished with a spray of lavender and he lit it on fire. I didn't know you could just burn lavender like that and it smelled INCREDIBLE. New life hack. The space is really small. It filled up when we were there. It was my friend and me, one woman reading, and then a largeparty that felt they could kind of take the place over and they weren't being loud or rambunctious per se but because they felt the liberty to kind of inhabit the small space and take over the room it got loud and we could hear their whole conversation. Likewise, we only had one server working the whole space so he was doing cocktails, coffee, food, the cash register...he was clearly overwhelmed. Not doing a bad job, he was hustling, but it was just too much for one person and I feel like they need two people there if it's busy. Maybe this large party was atypical for a monday afternoon. I still give it 4 stars because the cocktails are fantastic, the space is beautiful, I love the concept and the kitschiness and IYKYK of it, and I also see its potential as a gorgeous sexy little cocktail bar and coffee place when it is more chill. It would easily get a 5th star from me if they reworked a few of the small plates, added more chocolate to the menu itself, and made sure they were staffed more for rushes. Maybe on weekends they are, dunno.

Haven't been to Chadwicks in a while, so it was nice to convene for a recent brunch to catch up with some friends. While there is limited outdoor seating, I prefer the upstairs since it's typically quieter, and the abundant windows naturally illuminate the space. The interior is also characterized by nautically themed decor, along with exposed brick walls and hardwood flooring. TBH, this is one of the better Brunch spots in Old Town. There brunch menu is extensive - https://static1.squarespace.com/static/68d065ce6d80726524c2bca9/t/6a3d8efe5e4fbd1439f0bc1a/1782419198238/Brunch.pdf - and has all of traditional breakfast offerings of pancakes, french toast, a variety of eggs, sausage/bacon/ham, etc. While there are also lunch type savory options such as sandwiches and chicken and pasta entrees, I opted for the classic biscuits and gravy. I don't normally eat this type of heavy carb heavy dish...but every now and then, it's not so bad. The plate arrived with two buttermilk biscuits, country bacon gravy, two sunny side up two eggs, and home fries. The gravy was nice and thick with pieces of sausage bits, but I found the biscuits on the dry side, rather than buttery and flaky. Eggs were prepared properly and had that satisfying "ooze" when the yolks were popped. Home fries tasted previously frozen and could've used a few more minutes in the fryer. Service was a bit slow as there was only one staff taking orders and delivering food. But he was friendly and would circle back around to check on our group frequently. Pair your meal with a few choices of cocktails (I ordered a $5 mimosa) and Chadwicks brunc h is a great way to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon. Be sure to inform your server ahead of time, if separate checks are desired. One brunch entree, one mimosa with tax and tip totalled to about $25.
