    Parker PARKER HOUSE ROLLS V

Wow, just Wow! The Majestic came and stole me heart away! I'm going to try and put into words our incredible experience. So here we go, first when I walked in, there was a warm and welcoming host that greeted us and escorted us to our table. The restaurant is warm, grown and sexy. A fantastic selection of music, at just the right volume, and decor that spoke sophisticated and elegant yet modern. Now to the food! OMG, some of the best dishes I've had in a long time! Flavor was 10/10 :) We ordered the Arancini, Harvest salad and fried cauliflower to start. Everything was insane so we knew the entrees were not gonna disappoint. We both got the lamb shank with a side of the smoked Gouda mashed potatoes, broccolini that slapped and the Parker rolls. The rolls were freshly made and had a butter mixed with miso and something else, and I told the server, he better not forget to bag that up for me! LOL! The lamb fell off the bone and the mashed potatoes and broccolini were oh so delicious. Can't wait to try their Brunch!

Stopped by on a Monday night for dinner after a long road trip -- and this restaurant hit the spot! The place was not too quiet but relaxed enough for a weeknight. We sat at the bar area where a few others were already seated. I ordered the majestic burger (medium well) and my husband ordered the salmon for his entree with broccolini as his starter. Everything tasted so good! We can't wait to go back and try other things on the menu. A few things to note: - Service was quick, but we sat at the bar and it was a weeknight. - The entrees are mid price range, but if you want to get a drink(s), appetizer, entree, and/or dessert, you will spend a pretty penny. - I still think it's worth it!

Majestic is a true gem and never disappoints. Me and my fiancé have been many times when we're in the area visiting family on the east coast. Alexandria is a charming city and the perfect home for Majestic. The detail to the food, the service and the ambiance is top tier. We got a quick bite at the bar yesterday and by far the BEST French dip I've ever had!

Our first visit since they got the new chef. A funky decor and nice bar to watch the WC final. The sticky buns were delicious. All the servings were large, we needed to go boxes. The salmon was divine. Really enjoyed the mushroom fettuccine. The desserts were fabulous. The dark chocolate mousse was worthy of licking the bowl. The Mango sorbet was delicious. The service was adequate. Enjoyed the meal and restaurant.

***Happy Hour Review I first learned about this restaurant through a Yelp event a few years ago. Was in the area with time to kill so this was perfect. Got a parking spot right out front - paid via ParkMobile. It was during happy hour. The specials are great. The bar was crowded but luckily I was able to snag a seat. The bartenders provided great service and were friendly. Other patrons were nice and engaged in conversation with me. I ordered a glass of red wine on the happy hour. It was a cab and pretty good. I also got the beef sliders - tasty. I would definitely visit again for happy hour, but either way, I need to come back for the other menu items!

Came here for dinner after work. This place has been on my radar for quite some time food was tasty drink was good. My friend enjoyed her meal as well. Parking is on the street and it's free. Ambience is nice and I like the local decor. No issues with service bathroom is clean. Price isn't rather high but I actually didn't mind it so much given the quality of the food. If I was in the area I would come back again.

Such a wonderful mother's day experience for my mom. This placed was wonderful and would 100% go back again! This place was in fact very "majestic" inside. Great vibes and fancy decorating. The food was all phenomenal. My mom loved her salad and ate every bite. The salmon benedict was incredible. Great flavors with the garnishing on top and the potatoes were perfectly cooked and great service, our waitress was very attentive as well as the other staff.

My bestie and I booked a table at 530 for the new menu and it blew us away. I had never been and I loved the chandeliers and deep purple tones of the restaurant. We started with the harvest salad & crispy artichokes which were so delicious. The artichokes were perfectly fried. The salad was so fresh. Then the scallops & branzino were so good. The branzino was the stand out of the night

This place is amazing. Got here around 2ish on a Tuesday. Bartendar was great! Had the Brisket Rissotto Balls to start with and then the Zucchini Pasta. Both excellent! Decided to try the Orange wine and It was great. Then Jason stepped in and started recommending wines. Now I'm doing wine tastings, and I'm not in Napa. Everything he recommended for me was incredible! This was by far the best experience with food and/or wine I've had in DC. I will be back.

The service was superb. It spoke for itself. Our waitress was so amazing. The right amount of attentive and made the menu items sound delicious. Came in for lunch and got the French onion sandwich and mushroom Alfredo. It was perfection. The parmesan fries were so good I had to get a whole side order. I cannot recommend this enough. The decor is also super cute. Its giving traditional but with an elevated twist. Bravo majestic!

Visit to end our weekend. We were not disappointed: ambience, service, best burger called the majestic burger.

The Majestic is a New American restaurant in Old Town with Mediterranean influences. It strikes a good balance of being an everyday neighborhood restaurant that's also great for special occasions. They have majestic hour at the bar only M-F 3-7pm. The HH menu has a wide variety of options for food and drinks. I really enjoyed the burger sliders, Caesar salad and arancini. The service was great and the portion sizes were filling.

The Majestic has evolved over the years and seems to have found their place in Old Town. The restaurant offers some very good southern style meals. I had the salmon and it was nicely seasoned over a delicious succotash. The restaurant was very crowded but the bartender did not miss a beat. She put some care into the cocktail. I was talked into their speciality cake and it was moist, irresistibly so, just as advertised. This is a worthwhile stop in the Old Town restaurant trail.

Is this place checking vaccination cards?

    They did not check ours.

Do they still have French dip on Fridays? Or any day?

    Yes! French Dips on Fridays

    What's the dress code?

Business casual to cocktail. I, personally wouldn't go in looking like I'd been working in the harbor playing tourist all day. I also wouldn't go in dresses to the nines. If you work in an office and wear what you wear, there, you'll fit right in.

    Saturday menu- brunch or lunch?

Brunch menu offered. However, you do find some of the lunch (weekday) plates on the brunch menu as well for the weekend.

    Is there parking?

Paid street parking until 9 PM on weekdays & I believe Saturdays.

    Do you have happy hour!?

Yes and it's great for drinks.

My wife and I arrived around 1:20 p.m. on a Thursday. The lunch crowd was still going strong, which only reinforced that we had picked a popular spot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill almost immediately. When we walked in, there was no hostess to be found. After waiting about four minutes, she finally appeared and offered us a choice between a small table in the corner or one by the bar. Given how busy the restaurant was, we took the table by the bar. About seven minutes later, someone finally came by to offer us water and explained that our server was busy, but she would help us in the meantime. No problem. We ordered the Avo Goddess Salad and asked that it be split so we could share it. A few minutes later, our server arrived, introduced herself, and we let her know we had already ordered the salad and were ready to place our lunch orders. She was very helpful in guiding my wife toward the Old Bay Shrimp Burger. I was excited to order the Shrimp and Grits until I learned it contained Andouille sausage and, according to our server, couldn't be prepared without it. Since the restaurant highlights that everything is made from scratch, that surprised me. I ended up ordering the Ahi Tuna Salad instead. So far, so good. Then came the frustration. We spent the next 20 minutes slowly picking at our salad, growing increasingly hungry and confused. You know something is wrong when guests who were seated after you begin receiving their meals before you. Finally, at 2:10 p.m., our food arrived: my Ahi Tuna Salad and a Pulled Lamb Sandwich for my wife. Except my wife had ordered the Shrimp Burger. When we pointed out the mistake to what was now our third server, she quickly assured us it would be corrected. A few minutes later, our original server returned and took full responsibility. She explained that the lamb and shrimp items are next to each other in the POS system and she accidentally selected the wrong item. She assured us the Shrimp Burger would be out in two minutes and suggested we enjoy the fries that came with the lamb sandwich while we waited. Unfortunately, another ten minutes passed before the burger finally arrived. Here's where things became truly disappointing: the top bun was still cold--almost frozen. My wife ended up removing it entirely and eating the sandwich with just the bottom bun. At best, the Shrimp Burger was decent, but certainly not worth the wait and frustration. As for my Ahi Tuna Salad, it felt like something I could easily make at home, especially considering the $25 price tag. I'm also not entirely convinced the tuna was particularly fresh. I can't bring myself to give Matt and Tony's one star because the atmosphere is genuinely cool and inviting. So I settled on two stars--mostly for how I felt before the experience unraveled. And listen, I get it. Mistakes happen. We're all human. But as someone who eats out frequently, here's one piece of advice: when a restaurant makes a significant mistake with a customer's order, consider taking that item off the bill. Sometimes that gesture is the only reason a guest decides to come back.
