Coco was great at recreating nails from a picture I showed her. I appreciate the time she took to perfect the nails and making them as close as possible to the picture. I wash my hands a lot and always have an issue with the polish chipping even gel and ANC. A week and a half in and the nails are still looking good! I can tell the products they use are very high quality! I took off one star because the salon itself is in need of updates but that's not a big deal since they are reasonably priced and their work is great too! read more

I was shocked at how dirty and broken everything was. There was no ambiance either- no music, and nobody was speaking. All of the pedicure chairs are broken, and they don't use the bags when giving you a pedicure. The tools also looked dirty. I should have left straight away but gave it a chance anyway. The pedicure was awful, and the tech use tiny little strokes which resulted in a pedicure that was lumpy and all over my skin. It came out worse than what I could have done myself. I have been going to Vogue Nail for about 6 months now and have really loved going to CoCo. She use to do a great job. I don't know if she was having a horrible day today or what but I felt like I kept getting scolded the entire time I was there today. She cut me 3 times with the nail machines. And would nonstop tell me to relax my hands. And I don't know how much more relaxed I could get. Then kept telling me she was cutting me because I wasn't holding my hand right. First impression was that the salon itself is very dirty, which makes you hesitant about letting them handle your nails. Always go with your gut. The technician who did my ANC originally told me he could do gel extensions no problem, which I was excited about because no one else in the area does them, and then backed out when I got to the shop. Then he made my cuticles bleed more than any other technician ever has. While the wound was still open and bleeding, he stuck my finger into the powder jar DIRECTLY! He also got blood on the nail file drill and I'm pretty sure they have no intention of cleaning it off. Do not go here. read more

I'm torn about what to say about this place. I understand that they used to be pretty crummy, but in the past couple of years I have gone to Vogue Nail for Shellac manicures more than once and if you asked me to rate them a couple of days ago, I might have given them four stars. For the price, they can't be beat when it comes to nails. They have never done a bad job on them and they are among the least expensive places to have Shellac done. Some salons in this area charge as much as double. The place looks and smells clean. The people have always been polite to me. That said, I am about to relate to you the story of a disastrous beauty faux pas. Having always liked the place for my nails, I was excited when someone I knew said she'd had eyelash extensions done there for cheap. She seemed pretty pleased, though I hadn't seen them in person, myself. I decided to take a chance. What did I have to lose? At $27, I expected the service to be a cheap lash kit. So, when the lady showed me the Ardell clusters, I didn't worry. Other than having waited a long time, the procedure itself wasn't unpleasant. When she finished, the look was very unnatural, but I was ok with that. I wanted this as an alternative to strip lashes, which I like, but always struggle to put on. They felt weird, but I figured it was because I'd never worn them before and I was determined to give it a chance. By evening, my eyelids ached and itched. I realized that the lady had glued all the lashes, false and natural, into one big clump. She had coated all of my lashes, root to tip, with the glue. Panicked and determined not to go back and pay them $10 to fix the mess they made, I loosened the glue on one eye with oil and was able to remove much of it. But I wasn't doing a great job, and I pulled out more of my natural lashes than I wanted to. I resigned myself to letting them take off what remained, and went to bed, only to find that I couldn't sleep because it hurt to keep my eyes closed. On two hours sleep, I went to have them removed. At that point, I wanted them off so badly I didn't even attempt to argue with them about a refund. They were polite about removing the lashes and didn't act like I was an idiot for taking some off at home. I lost several more lashes to this process and many that did not rip out had the tips broken off. In summation: if you wondered what you have got to lose, the answer is $37 ($27 to apply and $10 to remove), what few natural lashes you have, a bunch of time, and maybe your dignity when you have to walk around with screwed up eyelashes. And that's not counting how much it will cost you to get real lash extensions to camouflage the damage this will do to your lashes. I would trust them with my nails and would go back for that again, but for anything more complicated, steer clear. read more

This was my second time here. The first time, my gel polish chipped, so I assumed it wasn't the manicurist's fault. I gave them a second chance today and I will never return. I asked for coffin shape! So, I watched the man file my nails in a strange way. I figured, maybe he just wanted to ensure that the shape was the same across my hand. Once he painted my nails, I realized how uneven the shape was; some nails were rounded, while the others were sharp in the corners. Maybe the other nail stylists do a better job? Truly awful. To begin with, the salon is filthy and a complete mess. There is nail dust on everything and stuff everywhere. The color selection was old, and many of the colors were dried up. The manicure itself was serviceable, but the tools were not sanitized at all. The technician just pulled the cuticle cutters out of a sleeve and slipped them back in. I am new to the area and I figured I would try this salon since it's close to the grocery store. Unfortunately I will never go back. I asked for a pedicure they didn't give me a wait time just prepared the water. There were 5 women in the salon and 4 employees. I sat there for 30 minutes prior to anyone coming over to assist me. At that time it looked like one of the nail technicians took a break. Someone came over they spent about 5 minutes on my toes. She then told me, she had to help another customer she would be back in 5 minutes. I sat there another 30 minutes and reported to another tech that I would have to leave soon. The other tech yelled across the salon and reported that she would be right back. Ten minutes later I was stilling sitting there. Stopped by for a gel manicure a few months ago. The manicure itself was pretty good, and I like that they are open on Sundays. However, I would say that the cleanliness leaves something to be desired. It appeared cluttered and not super clean, and my impression of the cleanliness was not improved after I used the restroom. They have pomeranians that they just let run around and bark in and out of the salon, and the places wreaks of the smell of those little things. Cheap and uncomfortable pedicure chairs, I'm also not sure how sanitary the pedicure tools were, and very limited nail colors to choose from. After living here for several years, I still haven't found a place that does waxing I've been really happy with. I was going to a wedding, so I opted for a pedicure too at this little salon. It's near my house, it's been open for a couple of years or so and I thought I'd give it a try. When I walked in, there were no other clients. Not a good sign for an area like this that gets lots of foot traffic (and no appointment was necessary...that's what the sign said). It wasn't that clean. (I should have left). When she started on my legs, I told her the wax was too hot. She said "oh", then she let it drip on me some more. She wasn't very thorough. When she was done, my legs looked reasonable for the bare-all dress I was going to be wearing but it wasn't great. Not for the $50 she was charging. For some reason I thought the pedicure would be better. What could be hard about toes? The massage chair was mostly uncomfortable. Except when I turned it off. I didn't see any sterilization equipment for the tools she was using. The foot massage was alright (but not great) and it didn't make up for her cutting the skin on my toe. I told her to stop cutting and she finally did. And she didn't slough off all the dry skin on the bottom of my feet. It was decent enough for the wedding but not great at all. And not a week has gone by and the polish has already started to chip away. I won't be going back to this shop. Instead, I'll have to keep looking for a shop that does good waxing and nails. read more

That pissed me off! What is the point of makin an appointment then?? then they did my lash extentions and french manicure. Lashes are cheap there but it doesnt mean the have to be horribly uneven and negligent. And lady was also complaining that it took her longer then usual cause my own lashes are too short! thats why i want the extentions duh! French manicure was fine, i asked to do it with shelak.
