I had a horrible experience here this morning. I was put in pain, gaslighted and told it wasn't painful, and my preferred design was ignored. The woman, Joanne was very unkind. She made several remarks about how bad my nail beds were and how short and "weak" my natural nails are (no one has ever complained about them before). I told her what i wanted abd tried to pick it but she interrupted me to say she'd pick a nude color... and it was definitely nude for a fairer skin person but not for someone of my skin tone. It looked bad. She used a random gel substance instead of the regular acrylic without asking me. It burned so bad I literally screamed and yanked my hand out of the uv light. She said it was because my nails were weak. There was another woman in the salon who seemed to be having a pleasant visit, nothing like mine. I believe all my negative treatment at this place was racially motivated. This business is not a safe space for black women. read more

Worst experience I've ever had. I went here as I needed an appt at the last min. Now I know why they had appts available. First, it took 1 hr 15 mins for a pedicure. She told me the pedicure would be $50. Then I had a gel fill and they filed my skin off. That took over an hour. I have two fingers that are raw You can see how red and inflamed it is. After almost 3 hours she charged me $154. I was horrified. She said you should have checked our prices. I did. $50 pedicure and 45 for gel manicure. At most it should have been $95 which is still crazy. But coupled with the fact that they filed my skin off and had to file off the gel polish because they got it all over the bottom part of my hand. This is the worst nail salon ever. Don't go here. I should've read the reviews before I went. A lot of others have had the same experience. read more

I normally don't write reviews but im sitting here drying my nails, fuming. This place used to be good but it's gone way downhill. $30 for a basic pedicure, basically just to paint your nails. No callus treatment/removal. Don't ever have the older woman do your nails. She rushed through the entire thing. What am I paying $30 for ? She put the salt soak in the water and immediately had me take my feet out. Literally wiped the sugar scrub on my legs then immediately rinsed it off. 2 minute massage at best. I wish I was exaggerating. On top of it she gave me attitude when I gave her a small tip. Lucky she even got one ! Not coming back here again. It's okay, I've been to other places that were much cleaner, aesthetically pleasing and had more to offer for a pedicure at about half the price. With tip I spent 65 dollars on a pedicure that was okay. It was mediocre, honestly wish I just took the money I spent and bought new polish, foot soak and did it myself, and I probably would've been more satisfied knowing I didn't waste my money. The reviews are right. DO NOT GO HERE! The longest pedicure and the most expensive pedicure and it was the WORST pedicure. I'm currently scheduling another one at my regular spot which I have to cancel my other appointments because of. Then when I went back for them to fix it after an hour and a half the male owner PUSHED his woman staff. When I tried to tell him what was wrong he put his hands over his ears. Total waste of 65.00. I stopped in here to get a pedi and it really was just OK. Person who worked on my toes was good, but not spectacular, meaning that this will probably be my only visit. The pedi cost the same as the mani/pedi special, which irritated me a little. Overall, a friendly atmosphere, well maintained and clean. Lots of colors and the scents used in the pedi were nice. Overall this is a pretty good place for a mani/pedi. The salon is very clean. The people are all very nice. But I will say a lot depends on who you get. My favorite was Gina but she left to become a full time student. She was an eyebrow magician and gave great pedicures. Katie is good but I don't like the way she shapes my nails. Kim is my go to - very good mani/pedi and does a good job with waxing as well. Caroline - I had a manicure with her yesterday and I was a little disappointed. She was very fast. My nails came out pretty good but she didn't bother with some of the little things like cleaning under the nail. Pedicure: Clean, great attention to detail, good massage, amazing chairs. I watched 2 men scrub the $hit out if the tubs. They took everything apart and cleaned it (drain, sprayer, ect) Get the spa pedicure. It's worth it. Rarely do I get a pedicure where I don't care what my nails look like (they look great by the way) but the experience was so great I wouldn't have cared if they didn't. I went here today. My regular place is movinglocations and wasn't up and running. MISTAKE MISTAKE Over priced, no english being spoken Basically I just paid to have cream rubbed on me . There was no cuticle maintenance of any kind ,they are exactly the same !! Mani/pedi done in 37 minutes flat ! I left tip for mani and pedicure on table while putting my shoes on ,then I took the pedicure tip brought it back to lady and thanked her. I wish I could give Vogue Nail Spa a 3.5, they're far better than a 3 but not quite a 4. I was looking for a nail salon in the area because I didn't feel like driving all the way to my normal place in Guilford at 5pm on a Friday. I hate going to new nail places because so many of them are scheevy, but the reviews sounded promising and it's two seconds from my job, so I gave them a try. The first thing that stood out to me was how genuinely friendly the staff and even the clientele were. My daughter and I had our first visit here over the weekend. The place didn't look like anything special. A little outdated and cluttered. My daughter had a gel manicure and it came out nice. I needed a fill with gel color. The guy used the drill to take my old gel polish off and he used a fan that my hands laid on. All the nail dust blew all over me, my phone, my wallet. Everywhere. He dusted my hands off and the drill with a brush and as I dusted myself off feeling annoyed, he never even apologized. He did do a good job on the nails, but felt he was rushing. I've been going to vogue nail spa in north haven for years, but I haven't been in some time. I recently went back for an arcryillic set, and it was pretty rushed and shitty. My nail literally fell off within a week, meanwhile I was at school in mass so I couldn't get it fixed. When I got there four of the nails were off and broken.. the lady there said she would have to charge me $55 dollars for the whole thing, which is basically the price of the original set.... I got her to go down to 45 but at that point she also ripped off two of my other acrylic nails because they were "flimsy"... and didn't even put a fake nail on one of my nails.. not going back there again. I've been a customer for about 5 years but won't be any longer. Over the past several months the service has really deteriorated. The nail techs are careless, rough and distracted. I've been cut a couple of times recently, the last time she didn't even look up or apologize, just covered the cut with antiseptic that stung badly. I have never had any issues at this salon and I always leave feeling satisfied. I usually get a gel manicure and eyebrow wax and they always do a great job. Incredible Service! Just got home from a wonderful GEL Manicure at Vogue Nail Spa. I also had my eyebrows done. My nails were done by an Ecuadorian woman named Poala( I only mention her Nationality as a way for you to identify her and make sure you get her!!!...lol) The attention to detail was superb, and although she doesnt speak a lot of english and i only know high school spanish, she still made the point to carry on a conversation so i wouldnt just be sitting there, which was very pleasant. She finished the manicure with a back and shoulder massage, then scrubbed and lotioned up my hands and arms, THEN gave me a hot stone massage up and down my arms!! Unbelievable!! All that for $35, i'd say thats pretty pretty pretty good! PLUS, you get a bonus card that gives you 5% back for whatever you pay that day to use next time...so basically, i spent 45 and i got a card that says that i have 2 something to spend there..5% of what i spent..its as good as cash there...FANTASTIC!!
