As a client, slowly but surely I was relegated to assistants and other stylists, often used as a training apparatus for visiting stylists who were shadowing -- all while I paid a premium for HER services not an assistant or visitor (who she was also making money off of). From the client perspective there was a total conflict of interest -- her loyal clientele were only a means to an end. As far as the actual extensions go, beaded rows using hand-tied hair are not unique to Danielle and weren't invented by her -- she just monetized the process. Doing a generic google search for the terms above results in many similar methods, tutorials on YouTube, and more. It's kind of easy these days to find stylists doing similar methods who charge less of a premium, are easier to schedule with, and who actually care about their client's experience.

No matter what they tell you or what "Danielle" says on Instagram that it's meant for fine hair, and that she has extremely fine hair... I personally don't believe that to be true because of my own experience. I also have had many friends who experienced damage from the extensions. It was way to heavy and rough in my hair and caused bald spots in my lower scalp. Once I got my new NBR extensions, about 3 weeks in they became extremely painful and while I was on vacation I had my mom clip the extensions out with her jewelry pliers because of all the pain I was experiencing. My advice, spend your money elsewhere and don't spend over $2,000 on a service that makes promises that end up damaging your hair. Even if you're questioning if you should come here or not, don't spend over 2 grand and realize later it wasn't worth it. Roya arrived to my bridal suite wearing a "MIGA" ("Make Iran Great Again") hat, a slogan modeled after Trump's MAGA movement and associated with political rhetoric about Iran. Regardless of personal beliefs or current events, wearing anything political as a wedding vendor is very unprofessional, especially when there is a chance of you being in bridal suite photos. Thankfully, my mom and maid of honor asked her to remove it before we headed to the venue because i didn't want my guests to misinterpret her hat, but the situation stressed me out on what was supposed to be a peaceful and relaxing morning . And the hat appeared in my wedding photos/video and I had to ask my videographer and photographer to make edits. She also ran about 30 minutes late to my trial and arrived 40 minutes late on my wedding day past my requested start time. I anticipated that she might be late based on reviews and prior experience and adjusted my timeline accordingly, but that is not something a bride should ever have to plan for, especially at this premium price point. Lastly, she left right as my reception began, despite me paying for touch-ups throughout the wedding. At the time I was fine with it, but by the time I cut my cake and after dancing, my bangs looked sweaty and no longer appeared polished. I am not sure if this is typical, but I wanted to share my experience.

We were so fortunate to have found her after we moved from Manhattan Beach to make the OC our home. Marina (from the US, and she has has an Italian heritage) is incredibly professional and extremely warm, a calming presence, fun to talk to, educated, well-traveled, keeps up on trends, she is so kind, and Marina is SO good and excels in all areas with different types of hair. She can get along and be professional with people from all walks of life and individuals with different personalities - so very professional in that regard. (I found Marina when my hair color needed to be corrected in the worst way, I tried 4 people before miraculously finding her!). Marina has now also been an OC girl as she has lived by the coast for many years now. Her skills and her demeanor are wonderful (she is a joy to chat with) and her expertise as a hairstylist is beyond excellent - I am talking about her ability to complete: hair dye/color (they do this at this salon!!!), men's hair cuts, extensions, full MAKE-UP, children's hair cuts, up-do's and blow-outs (hers stay clean and hold - and I have had blowouts on a weekly basis for the past decade, Marina's are the best by far!!). My husband is of Irish/English heritage, Marina does his hair cuts and it just looks amazing and the haircut is always completely even as well. To make it worse, when I asked if a small adjustment could be made, I was told I'd need to pay again. Seriously? That response was unprofessional and dismissive. Any good salon should stand behind their work, especially when the request is reasonable. It was also expensive for what it was -- definitely not worth it. And yes, I tipped well. They could've easily made it right and kept a loyal client -- instead, they lost one. Just be aware: if you're not thrilled right away, don't expect much effort to fix it.
