For the day of the wedding, she and her colleague did a big wedding party of 8 bridesmaids, mother of bride and groom, and a flower girl. Everyone was so happy with their work! We got married in Evergreen and were able to get ready in her salon. It was right next to a coffee shop so we could get caffeinated while getting ready for the day! I was going for a more natural look, just like my self, but prettier, and Amanda NAILED IT. I felt so beautiful, confident, and most importantly to me, comfortable. My trial in Denver was easy breezy, they're both super nice and fun to chat to. When I changed my mind about my hair before the wedding, Ray was so on it and flexible and gave me exactly what I wanted with minimum guidance from an overwhelmed me (volume and romantic curls). All of my bridesmaids agree that it's the best we've ever looked, and since we're in our late thirties we've been in a lot of weddings. From communication to their delightful bedside manner, these women are incredibly talented and skilled. They were prompt and efficient, finishing before schedule. Not to mention Amanda was very pregnant on her feet all day and did not complain once, in fact she seemed to be enjoying herself--a true superhero! At the time we spoke, she stated that other people had inquired about my date, but something should work (even going as far as to say that people with my wedding planner got some sort of preference). The phone call ended with her saying she would send me a proposal that evening. When the proposal did not come, I followed up one week later and received no response. Two weeks later, I received an email from Cassie saying that after our phone call she realized that she could not put together a team for me, followed by some boilerplate rhetoric about how she wants only people she knows that can fit my wedding needs to help me. This email honestly came too late. If there was any issue with availability that needs to be immediately communicated. The wedding industry can be complex and stressful. Especially, when it comes to ensuring availability of the vendors you want. Waiting this long to express an availability issue put me at a disadvantage for reaching out to other vendors (I have done so but after speaking with Candelaria they were my top pick and I wanted to wait for a proposal). This all comes after I expressed to Candelaria that scheduling makeup was my biggest wedding stressor. After this experience, their concern for their customers and interest in their "special day" rings hollow. From other reviews, this seems to be a common theme. This practice is unprofessional and hurts people. They seem really nice and like they are talented makeup artists. However, they need to work on their communication and transparency instead of stringing prospective clients along.

They started on my hair about 15 minutes late (which is pretty stressful on one's wedding day!) so I was in a hurry to get out the door. As I left, Amy and another stylist disagreed on which bridesmaids' hair to do next- they all have long hair. I heard someone say, "Well, her hair's pretty thin so I'll take her." Kind of unprofessional when you are being paid for your services. Apparently, by the time they got to the last bridesmaid, they were running really behind. Some other girls came in for their appointment and made a big deal that they weren't being seen yet. So, the last stylist rushed through my bridesmaid's hair and finished it in about 15 minutes. She was really upset and hated it until we convinced her otherwise. And another bone to pick- I was thinking about getting my makeup done there, and did a trial run with Julie.
