I've seen Holly for four years and followed her to Voila when she changed salons. She does an incredible job with my red and black hair! I love getting to see her and the atmosphere at Voila feels so homey and local. I almost never review things on Yelp, but I highly recommend this salon, and specially, Holly. She's really helped me learn how to take care of my hair in simple ways outside of the salon. I love that she takes into consideration how I treat my hair (almost no styling ) when I ask for her advice about cutting and shaping my hair. Voila saved me by introducing me to the lovely Amy. I was looking for two things: A place near where I live and to find someone who understood balayage/color correct too. I was able to get an appointment the next day (the universe was on my side) and boy was I in for a treat. EVERYONE who works there is so welcoming, funny and you can tell it's a family atmosphere. The salon is in a historic home which is awesome. Amy was professional, listened to my needs and educated me at the same time. She's funny and really cares about her final product. I have been going to this Salon since the 90's and they never stop amazing me. I have been EVERY color, cut and process with the help of these talented folks. When I decided to give into the "GREY" I went to them in early February and we made a game plan. I knew it was going to take Village to help this idiot achieve my color goal! A bunch of highlights, several months and toners later, I am LOVING my color! I am constantly getting compliments about my color. I have always said I would want my hair to receive COMPLIMENTS not COMMENTS! (BIG difference) To help with the natural fading they suggested for me to use GEM Shampoo-Diamond Color. *I need to add a disclaimer here. I have been in the "HAIR" business for years and been exposed to MULTIPLE color products to extend the life of hair color-LOTS!* Most color shampoos usually have a powder/chalk base to deposit the color and tends to dry out the hair. This Shampoo not only deposited the color but left if feeling soft and healthy!!! To sum it up...Check this Salon out! After being in business over 25 years they continue seeking out education and knowledge to keep on the edge of trends and what their clients want. I love this place! Let's face it, one can usually tell when a hair dresser knows what they're doing. Its in the way they brush your hair, shampoo your hair, and cut your hair... you can feel it, someone that knows what they're doing.
