After work was started, we started hearing excuses/justifications as to why certain parts of the job could not be completed properly (or completed at all). Mostly they blamed us for selecting equipment (new Panasonic bathroom fans and Minka Aire ceiling fans) they they did not prefer. Similarly, they objected (after the job was started, of course) to installing Lutron dimmer switches on the recessed lighting because they did not like the style of switch we wanted (again, a major name brand that we would have expected electricians to be comfortable with). All told, they left the bathroom fans only partly installed (we had to hire another contractor to redo the work correctly) and the ceiling fans click and wobble. We were told many times that things would have gone better if this had been "new construction," which was strange considering it was clear from the beginning that the work was to be done on an existing home. They did do a good job installing the recessed lighting, which was the only part of the job that went smoothly (except for installation of the switches, which had to be completed by someone else given Tru Craft's objections around using the Lutron switches we wanted). Tru Craft may be good choice for smaller/simpler jobs, or jobs where specific equipment is not required, but we ended up needing to use another company to complete our scope of work. (For what it's worth, the other company repaired/completed Tru-Craft's work quickly and without complaint regarding the equipment).

I hired them for a new basement digout, meaning they upgraded my house panel, and did all the electrical work for the new space: 3 bedrooms, a bath, workout room, and utility room. Table Mountain ended up being the best value option for my specific project. They weren't the cheapest (although they were close), but they def were not the most expensive either. And they held 100% to their initial bid, even though there were some unforeseen things that came up - which is what I was most worried about: getting a low estimate, then raising the price along the way. This never happened. Everyone that showed up was polite and respectful, and they all seemed to know what they were doing. And I am 100% happy with the quality of the work. In fact, when the city of Denver inspector showed up and asked who did the work and I told him, he said Table Mountain's work is always good (and he quickly buzzed through the rest of the inspection - which is a huge relief since inspectors can get very nit-picky if they don't think something was done exactly how they like it). Be prepared to pay exactly according to the schedule, which is reasonable in this industry. They show up on time, and expect payment on time. On this, Robert was firm, and I can't say I blame him. I asked surely someone would come on site to my house to provide a quote after inspecting what needed to be done. I was told no, they don't do that. They went on to say in a bored tone we've been in business for 30 years, just send the email. Within an hour I had five other far more reputable companies scheduled to inspect and provide an estimate for the work. Honestly, when there are better options and you don't even want To look at the job that needs to be done to provide an estimate, I don't have time for you and IMO neither should anyone else. 56 years old and still finding new ways to be dumb.

Well, either way, let me give you some helpful advice: Run, run, run for the hills! Avoid this company like the plague. These guys charge more than the competition and the quality of their workmanship is just awful. Pathetic! We hired these clowns to replace our crummy 100 amp panel with a 200A panel, and add two new circuits to our service, including a 240v circuit to the garage. Where they installed conduit, it looked great. But they didn't run the ground wires in any conduit and it looks like a kid did it. Other things: 1. They ran ground through the siding and into the crawlspace to the water line. They didn't caulk the hole they drilled into the siding. 2. They left trash all over my backyard. 3. They took one of my brand-new shovels. 4. An outlet inside my house stopped working after they left. 5. After Excel came out to inspect the finished job and said my new panel needed a slip joint where the line entered the concrete, American Electrician's owner initially refused to install the slip joint. He said Excel would allow a variance. Excel said bullshit, and only then did American Electrician agree to do it, or my power would be cut off. 6. Today, about 4 months after they finished their work, I went outside to flip one of the breakers so I could cut power to my dishwasher. One problem: the breaker labeled "dishwasher" cut the power to my son's bedroom upstairs. I started flipping breakers and found the one labeled "master bedroom/bathroom" cut power to my dishwasher.
