Tried while visiting family. Thought it was odd we were one of only 2 groups there, but it was good. I would go again.

Had a late lunch here on a Thursday. We were about the only customers there. Service was good, food came out very quickly. We had lasagna and the cheese tortellini with pesto. Added grilled chicken. I had Caesar side salad and husband had minestrone soup. We both enjoyed our food. Will return for sure. read more

my family and i went here this sunday for mothers day, we normally love olive garden so we figured we would like this too. everyone at my table couldn't finish their food, it was horrible. my 4 year old niece ordered spaghetti and was shocked when it was literally a small plate of noodles, with what looked like chunky tomatoes poured over it. (hardly any sauce.) so, we took the food home in to go boxes, it was so bad we fed it to our dogs. the service was great though, our server was such a kind lady. me personally, i think the decor is interesting.. we heard its an italian restaurant but it seems everything is decorated with some sort of cowboy thing. it was weird. dont know if i would recommend coming here, i wish everybody the best out there. read more

Barf. That's what i did when I took one bite of one of their meatballs. It looked and smelled rotten. My hubby and I had split the italian sampler. We left almost the entire meal behind. We told our young waitress and she was super sweet. She went and told her manager and came back and said she was discounting our check 10%. Manager came out just after our cc was ran and I was writing in the tip. She only came out bc we had told our waitress that a good Manager would have came a spoke with us. I started the conversation with "our bill is paid, we tipped well, this is not about money..." she could have CARED LESS. We are both feeling very sick to our stomachs as we drive away. read more

Really a nice appearance inside. Modern, clean and new. There were 4 of us so we ordered an appetizer along with our food ordered salads. Waiting for our appetizer and all of a sudden our meals come. I said to our server where's our appetizer and she said o I don't know then I said where's our salads, o I thought they were out. Wow total mess there. Don't offer to give us the appetizer for free or even say sorry. Food was nothing great, presentation was wonderful but taste was just ok. Don't think I will be back. read more

Beware. Believe the reviews! I should have. The chicken parm was terrible. The chicken was dry and lukewarm. My husband had chicken alfredo. His chicken was much better. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said the chicken was all cooked the same way. I am guessing mine was not fresh and my husbands was. The waiter gave us the bill and walked away. I do not recommend this place. The red sauce also had a strange taste to it. read more

Voltolini's - Spaghetti Western Comfort in Hocking Hills Voltolini's is exactly what it promises -- a Spaghetti Western. Not five-star fine dining, but good, hearty Italian food with a little cowboy character, tucked away in the hills. And honestly? We really enjoyed it. We started with the meatball appetizer, which came with both marinara and Alfredo sauces. The meatballs were excellent -- homemade in-house daily, and you could tell. We split the chopped salad next. It was a nice entrée-size portion, though the lettuce was a little on the soggy side. The bread they brought out (free of charge) was delicious -- warm and soft. The butter had that garlicky pizza-joint flavor, which might not be for everyone, but we asked for olive oil and they brought some right out. It was perfect for dipping. For our main dishes, we had the manicotti and the chicken Alfredo. Both were solid, but the Alfredo was the winner -- creamy sauce, well-seasoned, and served with two good-sized chicken cutlets. We also tried both soups: minestrone and Italian wedding. Both were tasty, but we all agreed the Italian wedding had a slight edge. Service was great. Ashlee was friendly and on top of everything. I've seen some mixed reviews, but as long as you go in knowing what this place is -- a rustic, theme-y Italian spot that leans into its Spaghetti Western vibe -- you won't be disappointed. This was our first time visiting this restaurant and was not disappointed! Our server was friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was clean and comfortable with country music playing softly in the background. Our food came out in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. Only one aspect of the meal we didn't care much for was the "butter" served with the bread. It reminded me of the fake garlic butter you can order from a pizza place. We would have much preferred some good olive oil and herbs for dipping. As for the prices, I thought they were very reasonable for the generous portions served. We'll definitely be back! read more

So, I will not be adding pictures to this review because the food didn't deserve photos. Let's start with the hostess, she asked us what menus we wanted? Who does that? Give me the menus you find valuable. Next, our waiter was ok, nice, but you can tell not an expert at reading the room or knowing what the restaurant can offer or do. We ordered our apps, which you can tell was frozen not freshly made and over cooked so bad you couldn't cut it with a fork. Salads, were too large which is a thing. Once again, not a fresh salad and the dressing was not home made or a good dressing from a vendor. Finally, the main course. There were six of us; two children and four adults. We ordered butter noodles for the kids with fries. Fries were good, but the "butter noodles" which we were advised they can do was just plain, dry noodles. Asked the waiter for butter, waiter comes back and says he was advised that the "chef" couldn't give him butter or they don't have it. Wait, what?! What are you cooking with or serving with the bread?!?! He goes back and asked again and says we use a "garlic butter" sauce. Folks, this is PaPa John's garlic butter sauce. We could tell our food was not freshly made and ok at best. The final issue, the bread they brought us felt warm on the outside, still frozen and cold in the inside lol. This restaurant isn't sure who they are trying to be and nothing is "fresh" here. I would not waste my money here and staying away from this "western Italian" restaurant. read more

The food is very overpriced. My mom, boyfriend, and I went as an in-between for where we live. The service was okay, but more what I would expect at a diner? Our server was polite, but seemed very busy even though there were only four tables seated and four front-of-house staff. The whole place kind of felt like a failed steakhouse, the interior was very bright and the seating wasn't very comfortable. There was almost no padding anywhere, so everybody's voices travelled and we could hear the conversations of the people across the dining room. I got the Pesto Tortellini with Chicken, and the chicken was dry inside and out, and the Pesto was overly oily and very sweet. Overall, the food was very very sweet. The buratta on the bruschetta was good, however, and was probably the best part of the meal. We ate almost nothing of our food because the taste was so odd. My boyfriend got the shrimp alfredo, and the shrimp were very overcooked. If it was priced at maybe 15$ instead of $22, my expectations would have been lowered to a similar level as the food. read more

First time at this new location, very weird that on the front door they tell you that paying with credit/debit will incur extra cost. It is 2025 and you don't see that hardly anywhere. I had the lasagna and it cost extra for meat sauce but it barely had any on it. Basically a plate of cheese and noodles. Others in our party enjoyed their food but it was a notch above Olive Garden which is not saying much if you like real Italian food. This place opened last fall and we gave them a week or two before my son and I gave them a try, hoping to find a great Italian restaurant close to home. I was excited for the clever "Spaghetti Western" theme but found I would have been more satisfied with a bowl of popcorn and an Eastwood flic. The place is devoid of soft surfaces and extremely noisy. Their menu was pedestrian and the entrees were over-priced for what it is. My son ordered the lasagna ($21 really?) which seemed like a reheated Stoufer's entree. I ordered the "classic spaghetti" and, after adding the meatballs, you're up to $16 for a very ordinary dish. Our Caesar salads came promptly but then we felt rushed as the entrees came about 5 minutes later, not allowing us time to enjoy the salads which were just okay. Just an average experience and far from what I had hoped for. With many other better options in the Hocking Hills, I see no reason to venture back here. read more

Went for the first time today and I think they have been open for a week So we had lunch I had sausage sub and the wife Italian sub Italian sub . She said about a seven out of 10. Not very much meat at all, I would say about 1/8" thick total of meat My sausage was pretty good but needed way more sauce. It had about a teaspoon of red sauce underneath the cheese. the sausage had plenty of fennel in it, which I like . I would say they just need to tweak them a bit . The weird part is they're already sticking paper notes on the front doors saying they charge a supplemental fee because of food price increases so we were charged like a dollar more for our lunch and they also charge less for cash Just a really weard buissnes model The place looks nice but they need to fix the noise problem it's LOUD! This was the WORST service I may have ever had. Do not go here!! They took forever with our order, pretty sure they lost it somehow? Then it comes out ice cold like it had been frozen & unthawed, but not cooked. To "make it up to me" they decided to make me a new one, which took 25 more minutes AFTER we already waited. Then, they were being so gracious as to give us a "discount" which was a whopping $2.10!!!! How kind!! We will NEVER be going back and will not be recommending anyone else to try it either. my wife and I took our friends to this place because it was new and we love good Italian food. the experience was so bad. no staff to take care of the few customers they had. The bartender had to seat us and take our order. we ordered apetizers that were small for the money and waited 30 minutes for them. we also ordered two meals to go for when we leave. The to go orders came out first and we had to put them on the window sill for when we leave. We then waited another hour for our meals. When the meals started to come out they brought out one at a time, so it took about another half hour for all of us to have a plate in front of us. Really bad service. I will steer clear of this restaurant. The night shift manager came in when we were ready to leave. We complained to her and all she did was offer a desert which only one of us took advantage of. we were all really unhappy with the whole experience. Great service! Love the Spaghetti Western theme. Comfortable seating. I am short and booth seat did not cut circulation off in my legs. Okay, had an AMAZING Italian dining experience at Votolini's for lunch. Calamari had a nice tasty coating and perfectly cooked. The warm spinach artichoke spread and freshly grilled lightly crisped bread (cross between flatbread and foccacia) was wonderful. The build your own Spaghetti was very satisfying.. Each bowl of Penne and spaghetti noodles were perfectly al dente cooked. The regular Marinara sauce was fresh, not too much oregano, full of tomatoes, on the sweet side, and perfectly spiced. The Marinara meat sauce was full of meat and topped off with a meatball. The large loaves of bread were fresh, warm, and the lightly flavored garlic butter was easily spreadable. I love the spaghetti western theme. The restaurant is modern and our server was great! My Husband and I ordered the arancini- don't waste your time on them. They're not good. We both got salads, limited dressing options. I ordered the caeser salad and the dressing was weird. Not a traditional caeser dressing. I asked for ranch instead. The bread loaf was good but it was cold and so was the garlic butter they served. Instead of cold bread and butter. They should heat the loaf and pour warm garlic butter over the loaf and dust with Parmesan. We ordered the Italian samplers. I was very disappointed to see the meatballs and sausage had no sauce on them. But the flavor was good! We had to order a side of the sauce. The presentation made it look like rocks on the plate. Just not appetizing and dry. I didn't care for the balsamic glaze on the raviolis but my husband didn't mind it. Some small revisions could make this place great! read more
