Dr. Fugate was beyond rude, condescending and a terrible dentist. I complained of tooth pain - he insisted it was from grinding my teeth. Months later I had a badly infected tooth with a cyst in the jaw bone. He refused to give me an antibiotic while I waited to see an endodontist. Then he charged me $540 out of pocket cost for an x-ray to give to the endodontist. Don't go here. read more

A state-of-the-art dental facility with kind and friendly staff! Mary Ann cleaned my teeth without gum pain or bleeding - a first for me! If you need a crown it is prepared while you wait and inserted at the same appointment - no need for a temporary or additional visit! Dr. Fugate recently dropped out of our dental network. His notification implied that it would have little impact on our out of pocket expenses. Nothing could be further from the truth. A primary benefit of insurance is capping charges to what is determined to be reasonable. By no longer participating in the network, there is no limit on what Dr. Fugate is able to charge. This resulted in a large bill beyond what insurance paid which was entirely unexpected. I'm going to be looking elsewhere for future dental treatment. Dr. Fugate is too expensive when not in network. read more

I broke my back tooth on Wed eve & called in on Thurs eve when it started to hurt. I left a voice mail asking if I could come in Fri or Sat to have Dr.Fugate take a look at it. The next morning at 8:17am, Vonore Dental called me & asked if I could come in right away. They had a full schedule but would work me in & they did! As it turned out, I needed a crown & they performed the 1st phase of giving me my new crown! No pain at all & I was in & out in 1 hour! They scheduled my follow up visit in two weeks & I really appreciate the care & concern they showed me. Dr.Fugate is an excellent doctor & super nice! The staff was courteous and efficient. The hygienist was professional. It was a great first visit.

I did not have a very good experience at Vonore Dental. Dr. Johnson was impatient, and prior to my even being seen, I had told the front desk receptionist that I did not have insurance because I had just taken a new job and my insurance would not be available until July. While there, the dental assistant said "she doesn't have any insurance" to Dr. Johnson loud enough for me to hear it! I was embarrassed, and I felt like they didn't want to help me based on that. I told Dr. Johnson I was fully prepared to pay and that I had heard them. Then after xrays, Dr. Johnson and his dental assistant discussed my xrays talking as if I were not there, then when I asked them to show me what they were looking at, then they pointed it out to me. Decisions had to be made for what I wanted done that day, there were more problems than what I even knew about, when I hesitated thinking about what I wanted to do, Dr. Johnson said "you need to decide here soon, I don't have a lot of time". So at that point I felt like I was an inconvenience as well as a "dead beat". I got emotionally upset and he asked me what was wrong and I told him how he made me feel when he said that, and he said he shouldn't have said that and he was sorry. I, as many of you, was petrified of the dentist until I found Dr. Eric Fugate at Vonore Dental. I have had many procedures over the years and all were pain free. I have complete trust in him and am so glad to get rid of the anxiety that led up to a dentist appointment. He has a wonderful staff that has always been extremely courteous and helpful. If I ever move I would have to schedule dentist appointments around a vacation back to TN. read more

Nice staff, rude doctor, no pain real meds even after a molar extraction(I understand the problem with over prescribing pills now but a 12 hydrocodone is not going to get you hooked after having a tooth ripped out), nitro costs extra...luckily sanitation didn't...never going back. read more

Eric and his staff are knowledgeable, patient, friendly, yet very professional. I enjoy the TV as it provides a needed distraction and relaxes me when having work done. The offices and equipment are well maintained and cleanly. In addition, I like their emails and texts reminding me of my appointments, and scheduling future appointments. I lost 4 teeth after being seen there and charged a couple thousands of dollars after being seen by a part time dentist. He left bad, fractured teeth behind and refused to properly care for me, his patient. It was painful and ashame. Look further and run ! read more
