I visit this place when I need something at the last minute. It's a beautiful store. Everything is clean and organized. However, I would not recommend the deli section. The customer service is poo. I had to go behind the counter to get help and I was the only person waiting for service. One staff member says she doesn't even use their services. read more

They failed to deliver groceries to scheduled appointment time and day. After countless contacts with customers services reps and supervisors, my groceries are given to an unknown place with no answers. They took my money and now I am in limbo-land with an empty frig and a special needs child to worry about without a car, which is why I used the delivery service. I am unable to get my money back quickly in order to use another servicer because the refunds take 3-5 business days. I am unable to wait that long. read more

This Vons is really disappointing. I've used Vons Drive up & Go Service multiple times and I don't know why I keep doing it. They mess up the order almost every time, but even worse is the fact that I have to wait in my car for an average of 10 to 15 minutes before I can even get somebody to answer the phone, let alone bring the groceries in my car. Positives.... Open 24 hours! Fresh products! Big Parking lot! Couple of blocks from where I live! Have redbox! Negatives.... Not many registers open! (got a turkey that clearly said $17 dollars on the shelf... when I got to the register lady charged me $29.99 for it) I told her that the price said its $17 she said it was a mistake and that customers move products around... ummm why would customers go into your fridge and move turkeys around !!! And if thats true, who are these people and why am I not friends with them... anyways, I looked at the "Vons Guarantees Prices" read it to her and she still refused to charge me less.... RUDE! I prefer going to this location over many grocery stores. I know many of the employees and I absolutely love the Starbucks they have. The staff is amazing, especially the blond that works there. I always forget to get her name. She makes the drinks perfect. Vons always has what I'm looking for, granted their prices are higher then other places but the convenience of the location and the friendly staff makes it all worth it. There was only one time that I walked out leaving behind what I needed to buy. And it was due to one employee that should have been removed a long time ago. I'm pretty sure she has been since the manager saw what happened, and since that day I haven't seen her. But I do not hold 1 employee against the whole store. It is very clean and usually well stocked. They stand behind the products and if you have an issue they will help you. Ive had to return a few items due to an issue regarding it (manufacture issue not store related issue) and they took back the merchandise without a second thought. They always ask for help and are patient even with those customers that I even want to yell at for their rudeness or inconsideration. Ive never had a time where no one was around to help, there was always someone out among the isle to help. I highly recommend this store. Like I said, I go here almost every day. read more

If I could give the pharmacy customer service a rating of 0, I would. There is not one time that I have called to inquire about my prescriptions that I have not been put on hold for an extremely lengthy wait. Today was a typical example. I have called 5 times in the last 3 hours and was put on hold for at least 25 mins each time. When my prescriptions cannot be filled, they don't bother to notify me so I can follow up with my MD. I opted to transfer my prescription service with Target and they seem to have the appropriate number of staff to provide better service. read more

PHARMACY REVIEW: I noticed that no one has written a review about the pharmacy here. Maybe it is new? I am not sure, but I had a not-so-good experience there. I wanted to transfer a prescription there, and when I went in the 2 pharmacists were just sitting in the back appearing to be doing nothing but talking. I went right up to the window and waited about a minute for one of the pharmacists to come up and ask what I needed. I held up my prescription bottle and told her I wanted to transfer, and instead of taking the bottle, she writes down a phone number and tells me to call to have them "take care" of me. It seems like these pharmacists are incredibly jaded and really do not care about customer service. From what I've heard, pharmacies usually take care of the whole transfer themselves, not tell the patients to call and transfer themselves. Why would I even have gone to the store if I really thought they would just tell me to go back home & call another number? The number they gave me was not listed on the Vons website, so really, it looks like I made a trip to a pharmacy to get a phone number. Doesn't seem right at all. Maybe I could've just called ahead before I went, but I really didn't know that they wouldn't help me there. My advice: Do not come to this pharmacy unless you like zombie-like pharmacists who look like they couldn't be more unhappy to help you (which they don't). read more

After a long day of work, I would hope to come into a store and experience wonderful customer service. However I came in to this specific location around 8PM directly into the bakery department where I waited for more than 30mins for the person assign to that department to come and assist us, Which was not a pleasant experience to say the least. This person did not greet us or apologize for making us wait just to simply ask for some writing on our cake. The only upside to this experience is the help we receive from the supervisor Angela. Which she apologize on his behalf and finalize our transaction. I would suggest to possibly have additional training for your staff in customer service. read more

Ive been coming to this location for years. But today's experience has me yelpin about it. After checking out, I went to the customer service counter. I needed a refund for a prior purchase that I was over charged for. Sarah helped me, she was great! As Murphy's Law had it, at least 4 people showed up while she was helping me. She never rushed me or lost her cool even when the natives got restless. While waiting, I noticed on my receipt that I didnt get some discounts. So she then adjusted that transaction. She spent about 15 min with me, with people grumbling and waiting and never stopped smiling. More employees need to be like her! read more

Especially the sushi chief, very helpful and accommodating, and Recently, the bakery saved me from going down as the world's worst mom. On a Friday night @ 7:00pm I am calling all the bakeries to place an order for next day and everyone is telling me no can do except for VONS. The cake was spongy and sweet. I was in the area and decided to do my Father's Day bbq shopping at this location , steak I wanted was all sold out but I did find another option avail. I did find everything I needed. I went to their olive bar and the Mediterranean salad mix was almost empty, I asked at the counter if there was more avail and no.... It was all sold out :( so I wasn't able to purchase as much as I needed for my recipe. I went back to counter to purchase some pasta salads but no one was there to help me, so I ended up not purchasing any. As I waited I seen their floor behind the counter and it grossed me out, trash everywhere , dustpan thrown on the floor.... Really surprised me for this location. Made me think the food wasn't the best quality if this is how they "clean". Finally when I went to pay I had to wait forever , there was no bagging person so when the cashier was finally done charging she had to then start bagging for those customers. Very annoying ! When she started with my groceries I started bagging my own things, bagging person came over and finished bagging. Definitely not returning to this Von's again, the wait was bad, they should have more people working here, I mean this isn't good for less to have to start bagging my own groceries! Very disappointed. I placed pick up order. They usually bring it out never had a problem. This time they forgot my water. No problem. I called to ask if I could pick it up tomorrow. They said I would have to come in. I explained to the young man who answered the phone, that I am disabled and can not come into the store. I asked if I can just pick it up tomorrow, through drive up. He said "Oh my god" I have other orders just call tomorrow. I asked him did you just say Oh my god to a customer, he said no. I asked for his manager. I explained to the young woman who picked up the phone what had happened, she said I had to come into the store. I again explained I am disabled and she said well either I had to come in or get someone else to go in and get it. I suppose they did not understand what disabled meant. But, I dont think so. I understand they were busy. But, I did order and pay for the water, what I don't understand is why they could not check to see if they had my water sitting there, put my name on it and that I would pick it up tomorrow. I am left thinking that customer service is not important to them and that they do not care about they're customers and they do not care to keep customers returning to their store. read more

Cashier a get you in and out very quickly. I love it. But they're so damn rude. Almost no eye contact. Never say hello or good morning. I'm not asking for them to roll out the red carpet when i come in but a little common courtesy wouldn't help and it goes a long way. Everyone on the floor is very knowledgeable of their products and know where to find them. Its nice when you're in a rush. Great store. Pretty clean. This Von's is my goto store. The customer service is always top notch here. Very friendly, helpful and fast. I can't remember the last time I spent longer than 10 minutes in line waiting to check out. Everything I need seems to always be here and in stock. I'm very picky on my brands too. The fresh produce is always clean, tight and right. That's s big plus for me since I've been on a "health" kick. The butcher section always has great quality and keep clean. The Butchers working are always attentive to the customers. The really cool part about this store is the Panda Express and Starbucks inside. I'm not a big fan of 5 buck cups of coffee but my wife and daughters are. The only reason I didn't give this store 5 stars is due to the bakery. The breads need to be stored in something better then a plastic drawer. Every time I grab a bagel is darn near solid as a rock. Lucky for me Western Bagel is in the same parking lot. read more

This is the worst vons, I don't know why I keep going back! They have messed up so many times. The manager, herself, once gave me the wrong change. I was missing $20 out of my bill and didn't notice until I got home! Another time, I was charged for a greeting card that they never put it in my cart. About $6 I never even asked for back. This time is the worst experience. I scheduled a pick up order and left work early to pick it up. It wasn't ready so I told them to cancel it. I was already in the store so I would just shop. Luis, the assistant manager, insisted he would have my order delivered to me that evening. He asked for my address and said it would be delivered within a few hours. It was never delivered. So he stopped me from shopping and didn't deliver my groceries, very upsetting! I called to make sure they cancelled my order so I wouldn't be charged. The girl I spoke with said she would confirm the cancellation, then just hung up on me. Days later, I find they charged me for the order! $138!!! I was checking out and trying to download my digital coupon in my app. The manager by the name of Angela was so rude. I visited this store on Sunday, January 10th around 10:00am as I needed cold cuts and wanted to get them from the Deli, when I went there I noticed an older female cutting meat for sandwiches. No one else was available and the sandwiche section was empty I waited to see if she would help me but completely avoided me. I ended up going to the refrigerated section and picked up what was available. I normally prefer to go to this store even though the Mission Hills store is closer due to their service. Worst experience with Vons ever! Was happy to find a pick up option available-NEVER AGAIN! Worst case I get there and have to wait a little because of what is going on in the world. Was told order not ready going to have to wait 20 minutes I said okay. 40 minutes late they come out say computers down and can not pull items but will allow me in the store to do my own shopping. This review goes solely to the meat department . Wind subsides and we are looking forward to grill some nice juicy steaks! Went to our local store to buy some T-bone they advertise as "customer cut". It is 2:30 in the afternoon and we only see prepackaged, sad looking, uneven cuts of that meat. Uneven means- one side is almost two inches and other barely half of inch. We went to meat counter to ask for fresh cut meat the size we desire. Too bad, we were told. Meat cutters / butchers gone for the day. Apparently, their working day is only until 2:30 pm and it's not only on Saturdays! We had the same instances in any given day few times. I am an RN in a busy hospital and my working day is 12 hours plus, depends on my patients needs. I am very happy for meat cutters/ butchers for they leisure work hours, sure they deserve that.
