Vons groceries have always been on par so when I was in that neck of the woods today after dinner, I decided to look up the local buns to grab some things I can do at home. I was strangely surprised to see the inside of that place he just as nice as the one in Santa Clarita. I was able to get everything I needed and within budget so that was super cool too. The Store Manager Carl Liscoumb is rude unprofessional, and should not be the manager of the store! Rob the assistant manager should be the manager! The store was busy on a Saturday morning, which I was OK standing in line, waiting patiently and to check out we're still waiting for a 2nd checker, I go to finish paying for my transaction and asked for cashback $200. I step aside and let the cashier Ray continue to help customers cause we're still waiting for the 2nd cashier. Ray asked for a loan request 2 times and on the second time they call back down he explains the customer is waiting for the $200 now I've been waiting 8 minutes at this point and now it's 10 minutes or more the store Carl Lisacoumb comes down with some young girl like a puppy dog follow behind him. Ray is checking out customers too. Carl says, WHAT TO DO YOU WANT! I say I've been standing here for over 10 minutes and I would like my $200 and that was unprofessional. You would think he would've come down knowing that the customer was waiting for the money? Apparently Not instead WHAT DO YOU WANT! needless to say the girl comes back eventually with the $200 only took 20 minutes never counted! I stood there talking to Laura from bakery Excellent department and the girl I said how unprofessional this was, and I was expecting Carl to come back and not her with the money and the girl says if you think so. Like she thinks it's ok to speak to employees and customers! I said to Laura Let me count it to confirm I do have the $200 shortly afterwards Ray is trying to give me $200 more because the l girl didn't tell the cashier Ray that I received my money I told Ray I have the $200 and he said he was never told that I received $200 I moved back in 2015 and this store and staff Arcelia, Linda, Sherry, Teresa, Ray, Laura, Roni, Chris all of the employees are Excellent exceptional 100% Excellent! read more

Nothing ever changes. All of the inexpensive bottles of shampoo are locked up. I set my stopwatch app and push the assist button. 3 minutes later no help in sight. I have a small basket of items. Go to self checkout. There are no bags. Apparently Von's is worried that someone will steal a 10 cent bag and that is worth inconveniencing every single customer who uses self checkout. I can't even obtain a bag because the employee who usually waits at the desk to "help" isn't there and isn't there for my entire transaction. I start stuffing grocery items in my sweatshirt pockets. On the way out of the store a produce item falls out of my pocket into a filthy puddle. I call customer service. The person I talked to clearly didn't care. She offered to have the manager call me. The last time the manager called me all I got was excuses and the store has continued to get worse so it's pretty clear they do not care about the customer experience. Although this store is 1/2 mile from my house, so is the Neighborhood WalMart. Since I have to go to WalMart to replace the produce item and buy shampoo, I will be doing all my shopping there and will never set foot in the dirty, poorly run store again. read more

I would have rated this STARBUCKS VONS in Palmdale, Rancho Vista a zero. Customers be aware!! VONS STARBUCKS will charge you an additional $1 if you modify your drinks. Ex: I order a Trenta Macha Lemonade, I asked the Barista please no additional water or ice added on my drink. I request that because I end up with a water down drink, and I pay a lot for water down drink, STARBUCKS charge customers additional $1 each for no additional water, and NO ICE on your drink. The newest and most up to date Vons location in the AV, but unfortunately it's not as well stocked or well serviced as the location on West Avenue L.. so sad. It's Friday afternoon on Memorial Day weekend and there aren't enough checkers, and the Customer Service area is completely dark and unmanned. During our entire shopping trip, we could hear the phone system ringing non-stop, and the automated system kept announcing there was a call for customer service. Clearly no one was going to answer that line. Most of the few things we came in for weren't on the shelves and when I asked a clerk if there was more in the back, I was told he did not know and they don't check stock. Whatever is available is on the floor, period. Really? I'll likely go out of my way to the other location next time. The interior isn't as up to date but at least they're much friendlier! read more

What an amazing Grocery Store! Beautifully designed & Clean! They have an amazing selection from Floral Design to Butcher Shop! Their check out Staff is also very friendly & helpful. And they have a delightful Starbucks counter too! Lots of goodies in the bakery & Deli shop ! The Checkout Clerks are excellent very helpful in teaching you to navigate the Von's App. To save you $$. I stopped by my local Vons meat counter to pick up a beef brisket and kindly requested if they could prepare it for me. The staff informed me that I would need to wait for Chris as he was on a short break, but would return in 5 minutes. I must say, waiting for Chris was definitely worth it. This Vons is my go-to for fresh flowers . Their fresh flowers are long lasting. You can't beat the price and you won't be disappointed with their variety of flowers. When my daughter got married I actually used Vons flowers in her bouquet. My favorites are the Astromerias and the mini carnations. Not only are they economical and beautiful they last for weeks. This is the second time I am rating my local grocery store. The tables that are outside it's a wonderful idea, however they are dirty and do not provide any shade, no wonder why it's very rare that I see individuals sitting down. Please beatify the exterior and/or provide tables and chairs indoors so that customers can enjoy a snack, beverage or even a meal. Moreover, understandably so Von is in the business of selling yet it is surrounded by a large residential Community which would mostly likely take a break to consume food or even have a glass of beer or wine well they're doing their shopping. read more

I've never had a problem with this store before but today was something else. As soon as I walked in security was quick to make its way towards myself and my daughter as we browsed through the verity of pumpkins they had at the entrance. We continued our shopping and felt as we were being monitored/followed and when we got to self check up the old lady watched me real closely as I scanned my items as if I was going to walk out without paying. Ok, I can't take it it any more with the horrible customer service with this pharmacy. It seem like every time I have to use this pharmacy, they always fail to acknowledge me standing at the counter waiting for help. Mind you there will be no one else in line just me at the counter. After five plus minutes I stated in a loud voice in order to get to their attention. "SHOULD I COME BACK, IF YOU GUYS ARE TOO BUSY". That was the only acknowledgment I received. (It is important to note that there were two people working both were on their computers, one of the employee had his right hand against his cheek too busy to even look up to see if customers needed help. This review specifically applies to the bakery department. I'd give it 1 star for cake aesthetic, but gave it 3 for initial friendliness from staff and for management's effort to resolve the problem. The photo says it all. My husband and I ordered a gender reveal cake and showed the bakery staff what we wanted-a blue to pink to white gradient cake as seen on the picture. We were told they can do that, so we finalized it as they took notes, and that was that. When we went to pick up the cake, the 2nd photo is what we got; it looked like someone one was getting ready to clock out then said "oops, I almost forgot to make this cake, let me do it real quick." It was hideous and tacky. We asked for butter cream, and we got regular frosting. The bread tasted good, at least. Our gender reveal was a success, but the cake's appeal, not so much. This is MY store. We all have our own grocery store where we know where everything is and we hate shopping in other grocery stores. Well this one is mine. I love the store set up and I love the employees. They are all very courteous and have no trouble helping. There is a Starbucks conveniently located inside the store and deli makes some fantastic sandwiches and breakfast burritos. *TIP* for customers and store management. There is only cart return in the front of the store and way in the back of the parking lot. So leave your cart at the door and carry your bags if possible. The store should definitely consider sacrificing two parking spaces one on the east side and one on the west side, at a halfway point, for a cart return. read more

This is my new Vons since moving on the west side of Palmdale and I have to admit I really like this store a lot. I like to go in the evening without my little one there you see almost every house wife from the west side of Palmdale/Quartz Hill and lost husbands on the phone talking to their ladies. I always buy fresh fruits and vegetables. They have a nice variety of pastries and cakes. The one thing they changed that I do not like is their fruit tarts have chocolate. I do not eat chocolate and it's a pain trying to buy a simple fruit tart. I've notice their Starbucks is a lot bigger than the one in Lancaster. Store is always clean and very friendly employees. So far so good. My reason for 4 starts is the fruit tarts and high prices other than that it's all good. read more

This is my favorite Vons, I live 3 mins away and it's always great to stop by if I need anything last minute. The staff here is great and everything is all well organized and for the most part employees are really helpful. The only reason they did not receive a 5 star from me was because of one of their barista they have at the Starbucks located in the store. I didn't get her name but she is sooooo rude!! Every time I go into that Starbucks I'm so nice to her so I can receive the same attitude but she does not have it, she's so rude and looks so miserable there, it ruins my days.
