When I first entered the store, I was at the checkout lane when Lenni asked if the items at the end of the counter were mine. I explained that they were not just mine. I was shopping with my fiancé, and the items belonged to both of us. Lenni responded, "I never would've guessed." For context, I am a 38-year-old African American woman, and my fiancé is a white man in his 60s. I initially brushed off the comment, thinking maybe Lenni was just having a bad day. As we continued checking out, my fiancé began bagging the groceries himself, which was fine. However, at Albertsons, I am accustomed to having a bagger assist when not using self-checkout. Still, I did not make an issue of it. Lenni then left several of our items sitting on the counter and gestured for us to move them into the cart ourselves. This review is for Bakery. I am extremely disappointed with the quality and flavor of this Victorian lace cake. I used to be obsessed with this cake and was my go-to for any occasion. The presentation was everything but most importantly the texture, consistency and flavor. It was moist, light and nothing overwhelming in flavor. The perfect white cake with a light raspberry jam filling which went great paired with coffee and tea. Now it's just saddening that savory cake is gone, I don't know what Albertsons did, if they changed their recipe or new bakers but it's not the same anymore. Unfortunately it's my last time buying this cake, we were unable to finish the cake, and we had to throw it all away. It was so stiff and dry and upon refrigerating it turned hard as a stone. The frosting of the cake was similar to the frosting which is used on gingerbread houses and it had a tangy taste. The cake was basically a box cake, stale and unflavored. I am really upset with the quality and do not recommend. Hopefully Albertsons sees this review and goes back to their old recipe or does something to improve their bakery. read more

Great service here, great staff, food is always fresh, fast checkout lines, and very rarely out of stock on an item. I'm only giving it four stars tho because in the parking lot, they have trees but they trim those trees so damn much there's no shade. None! When I come with my dogs in my car, I have to leave them in the car with no shade. Whoever keeps cutting those trees needs to stop! Let them grow! It looks better, it provides shade for pets inside cars, it's better for your car paint, and people like shade in hot weather. Otherwise tho a great store I'll always love them! read more

This is the second time that Albertson's bakery has let me down. I purchased a special cake and paid extra for the artwork on the cake. I spoke directly to the cake decorator, Maria, and showed her a picture of what I wanted. She took a picture to make sure that what I wanted was accurate. I was so excited to purchase this cake for my daughter's birthday. The cake was absolutely horrible! All of the writing and the artwork was sloppy. I was so disappointed. The girl who helped me switched the cake for a regular one and wrote happy birthday on the new cake for me. Let me start by saying that groceries are expensive everywhere these days. I regularly use the curbside pick up at this Albertsons and the one in Lancaster off 20th west. The service is Amazing. The order is always done well before the pick up time, curbside clerks are always friendly and polite. I always receive a call from them if there is a rush, or a substitution. Tried getting two rolls of quarters. Lady who helped me acted like I was bothering her. She gave me 1 roll and a $10 bill. This is the worse of its kind. Always out of things and the should just close that deli down and stop frying or baking those Cornish hens. So as it turns out, Albertsons' incentive for avoiding getting Covid is to risk getting Covid. I finally received my $50 egift card for getting my Covid vaccines. So as I go to pay for my merchandise, big shock, the cashier tells me that they can't accept it through the phone. You need to have it printed out on paper. So first of all, that's NOT an egift card if I can't use it electronically. That's what the 'e' stands for. Second, I do not own a printer. There's a barcode they didn't even attempt to scan and also a number they didn't bother to type in. I guess because it would have been too hard. So what are my options? I can go to the public library, is the managers response. How ironic. Please go to a building notorious for where homeless people take sink baths and use a filthy computer hundreds of other people have touched with most likely unwashed hands. So now instead of a thank you, this "egift card" has turned into a chore. "You want that $50? Why don't you run to FedEx for us." So thank you, Albertsons! Thank you for not only telling me to risk Covid because you're too lazy to scan a barcode that's on a phone instead of on a piece of paper. But also thank you for encouraging me to never shop at your terrible store again. I will be making one final purchase from your store, though. When and if I meet your demands of a printed physical copy of an egift card.
