Trick-or-Treat? More Like Trick-or-Trick…read more As someone who actually enjoys Sonic and hasn't been to one since living in Georgia, this was a pleasant and spontaneous stop. I pulled in specifically for a Sonic Blast. I wasn't sure what I wanted at first (I usually go for cookie dough), but after checking online, I saw a Trick-or-Treat Blast being promoted for Halloween which makes sense since it's right around the corner. Today is October 23, 2025. This location, however, had zero mention of the Halloween Blast anywhere. No signs, and not on screen menu. Still, I asked for it at the drive-through, and they seemed to know what I was talking about... or did they!?!!! The young lady taking my order assumed I wanted a medium and didn't ask for my size preference. I confirmed the price matched a medium and went along with it. When I got to the window, the team seemed confused about whether I ordered online or through the drive-through. I explained I ordered through the drive-through and paid with another team member. Then came the awkward moment...the original young lady came to the window with my Sonic Blast, just standing there holding it. We made eye contact for half a second before I said I'd already paid. She said she knew... but still didn't hand it over. I finally reached my hand out, and then she did too. I asked for a receipt, and she gave it easily. My number one gripe is that they're using generic Oreos and M&M's. The difference is obvious in the taste. Call it "Kaleidos" or "chocolate rainbow mini gems," but don't call it Oreo and M&M's (bffr!) that's misleading! To make it worse, the fake Oreos were stale. That's even more insulting. Here's the real issue: according to Sonic's own website, the Trick-or-Treat Blast is described as -- "Trick or Treat every day at SONIC with the Vanilla Trick or Treat Blast. HEATH, M&M's® Minis, & OREO® Cookie Pieces blended with creamy vanilla soft serve, then topped with more HEATH, M&M's® Minis, OREO® Cookie Pieces." So where was the HEATH? That's a key part of the original formula, and my order didn't include any.. not even fake Heath pieces. Full stop. Disappointed!!!! Realistically, a $7 ice cream Blast using off-brand toppings isn't fair practice. Don't cut corners and still charge full price. I didn't even finish the ice cream treat, just sat there shaking my head. It's honestly wild how fast-food spots keep raising prices while the quality goes straight out the window. The Korean hot dogs are perfectly crispy, the cheese pull is unreal, and the Hot Cheeto OhKDog is on another level. You literally have to pause just to watch the pull before you take the next bite. The egg and toast sandwiches are just as good. Fresh, filling, and packed with flavor. I paired mine with an OhK Slushie and that combo alone is worth the trip, especially on a hot ATL day.
