    Strawberry donut

A bit off the beaten path for us we found a Hero and let me say it was definitely what we needed on this given morning! Of the many options I totally went with a breakfast sandwich with egg bacon and cheese it was on a yummy roll with some sauce on it to add a bit of zest to an already yummy breakfast sandwich. They also have donuts here and of them we totally went with one of the strawberry ones it was super good and better than your average donut so do yourself a favor and don't overlook them! Overall yummy breakfast sandwich's and awesome donuts like how can you really go wrong with that what so ever!

These are the best donuts in Theeeeee World! Run here I had the strawberry jam and listeeeen! I ate it within 1 min that's why it's not on the picture lol! The fresh made orange juice is like drinking Jesus bath water it's soooooooooo good! I already know the Chocolate classic and strawberry hitting I'll tell you before I finish this review! Yup it's a go !!!! 10 outa 20!!! You gotta a forever customer from Yoga Ave!

Me in on the patio...nice spot!

Do not go to hero... Unless you want your mouth set aflame with undescribable deliciousness! I made the terrible mistake of going in today to get an apple fritter. The sweet young server behind the counter suggested that I try at peach! There began my destruction. I intended to eat one little bite. Two became three... And now I'm coated in the most sublime shell of crystalline sugar that you could imagine! Seriously walk don't run to hero!

Delicious milkshakes!! Strawberry and banana pudding.

We tried the shakes for desert and would return to try their donuts. The strawberry and banana pudding flavors were really good.

What a gem!!! Firstly when you arrive to this entire area you will be thrilled! Leave yourself time to walk around it is beautiful with a lot of photo opportunities (swing, an outdoor tv area, outdoor fire pits and beautiful store and walk ways). There is also free parking! I absolutely love the entire area. Now hero recently opened up and I stumbled in and it was clean and such friendly staff. They do have an array of food options including delicious looking pastry's (I'll have to go back and try them). I ordered a chicken burger and fries and a lemonade that is house made. I wasn't expecting anything spectacular it's just a chicken sandwich right? WRONG! It was an AMAZING meal! They even imagined to elevate the fries!!! I highly highly recommend.

I stopped by with my parents on the way home from the airport. It was very enjoyable. Service was great. We sat outside and it was warm and such a good view of the area. They had live music when we went for Saturday brunch. The beignets are definitely not like from Louisiana but very tasty.

We visited Hero on a Saturday morning around 10:30 am, right before the crowds started coming in. There was live piano music on the patio that started at 11:00 am, not sure if it's a regular occurrence but it was pleasant. As soon as it hit 11:30 am, almost all the tables were seated, so just be mindful of how quickly they're busy. I asked many questions and the employee (maybe a manager) was very nice to answer them all. I wished they had more non-caffeinated options for their beverages, but they don't serve herbal tea. I had a small vanilla latte which was very nice. We ordered the French Toast and the AG Power Plate. The tomato on the power plate was a yellow heirloom variety glazed with vinaigrette which was my favorite thing. Unfortunately, it was maybe two slices of the tomato. The grilled chicken was flavorful. The avocado was fresh. The eggs were just ok. The french toast came with a pitiful sized piece of fried chicken tender in the eyes of this southerner. They also serve "crunchy" ice, if you know, you know. I ordered an apple fritter and a carrot cake doughnut. The carrot cake is an amazing cake doughnut. The apple fritter has actual pieces of apple inside, and its not oily. Probably the best doughnuts of this side of Atlanta. The interior is very pretty with a lot of clean white paired with pops of red and blue. There is ample seating, both inside and outside on a patio. I really liked the lights that were chosen above the tables on the inside. Park for free along the street. It's mostly parallel parking or theres a surface lot in the area closer to the Piedmont gym, but you'll have a little walk. I would come back for the café aspect or a late afternoon dessert. It would be an ideal place to work on a laptop, and we did want to get some things done online. Unfortunately, their internet wasn't working. It's a great location for people watching. While we were there, some type of filming was taking place. I think this place might not be for a typical resident of Fayette County because the portions are on the small size for the price. If a person is used to dining in Atlanta then this would be a good choice.

Trendy bakery - breakfast place. The establishment is very clean and well kept. We were greeted and placed our order at the counter. They give you a number and bring the food to your table. We both enjoyed our breakfast but it wasn't amazing. It was just short of good. The sausage on both of our dishes was hard and chewy from being overcooked. Otherwise, a good breakfast location.

Chicken egg and cheeses breakfast sandwich

The donuts are always fresh. They make their bread and buns in house fresh. I love the hash browns. The chicken egg and cheese breakfast sandwich is delicious.

This is a really nice addition to the Trilith area. There is seating inside and outside, we sat outside and it was very comfortable. The service is great, you order at the register and then given a table number. The food is brought out to you at your table. The food was really really good. There's a nice variety of items for breakfast and lunch. We all enjoyed our food, it's seasoned to perfection and flavorful. Definitely a great spot. The donuts are phenomenally delicious!! The banana pudding donut is outstanding. The cookie and cream donut a must have. This place is awesome!

We came here for Easter breakfast, and we were very happy with the food and atmosphere. The service was ok, but again, the food is the real star here. Since they don't take reservations for parties over 6, we showed up right when they opened,so we could get a seat. We got there right at 9 and were seated immediately. We sat in a booth towards the back, and we were able to see the kitchen since it was an open concept in the back, which I loved! The music was good and the decorations were great. Our services was a tad slow, and I didn't like how the waitresses didn't repeat our orders back to us, which caused a problem with our order. I got the pancakes and the rest of my party got meat omelets. Everything was delicious even though it took a little longer than expected to come out, but it worth it! There was a mess up with one of our orders, but we still ate it. They only have melted butter here, but it tastes so good with the pancakes that I didn't mind at all. I would highly recommend this breakfast spot for anyone craving a delicious breakfast!

Let me be very clear: the drive was 100% worth it. From the moment we arrived, the entire experience felt elevated. The seating, the staff, the food, the live pianist, the atmosphere, even the other guests -- everything worked together to create one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. And the food... I absolutely gorged myself on that buffet, with zero regrets. From the main selections to the dessert station -- which featured authentic bananas foster -- every single bite was incredible. The quality, the presentation, the flavor -- all of it was just out of this world. Honestly, part of me doesn't even want to write this review because I want to make sure I get a seat again next Christmas. But it would be a crime not to share how special this place is. I can't speak on anything outside of their dinner service, but if you go just for that, I promise you -- you will not, you cannot, leave disappointed. I would put money on that.

I was curious so I decided to look it up on Google Maps and saw that they had some good reviews and the type of breakfast/brunch food I was looking for. When I walked in, they were very busy and the wait would've been about 30 minutes so I decided to order my food to go. I was told they take reservations during the week. While I was waiting, I got a chance to meet the owners and they were so nice and told me they were moving to a larger space this Summer. I decided to try the flavored lemonade and I got the mango flavor. It was so delicious and refreshing. My order didn't take too long to be prepared. I ordered the beignets. I also ordered shrimp and salmon grits and I got my salmon blackened and I got the peach cobbler bread pudding. My key takeaways are the salmon and shrimp grits dish was very flavorful. It was hot and fresh, and it was the perfect portion. My beignets were hot and fresh and I loved the taste and texture but it was missing the powdered sugar and I would've liked to have had a dipping sauce, maybe chocolate caramel or strawberry with it, not sure if I should've asked for it or if it should've came as an addition. I personally did not care for the peach bread pudding. It was too sweet and for some reason didn't actually remind me of bread pudding so I would probably try a different dessert like the red velvet cake next time. Overall, my experience was great and I definitely can't wait to return.

The first time, I dined in with my son and also ordered fish and grits to go. About 10 minutes after receiving my meal, I got the to-go order, but the cooks refused to separate the fish from the grits. As a result, I had to cut my meal short and leave so the fish wouldn't become soggy. The second visit was with my husband. I ordered the grit bowl exactly as listed on the menu. I was told the onions and peppers came on the potatoes instead of the grits, which was fine because I mainly wanted the spinach anyway. When the meal arrived, there was no spinach. The waitress checked with the cooks, and they claimed the spinach did not come with the meal, even though it was clearly listed on the menu. They then attempted to charge extra for it, despite it being included in the advertised price. I also asked to speak with a manager, but no manager ever came out. Unfortunately, the poor communication and lack of customer service from the kitchen staff and management overshadowed what could have been a much better experience.

It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.
