Moist and delicious Their signature dish of the egg on top of the hash browns was yum. Yum. The chunks of potatoes are crispy and the eggs were cooked just right. There was enough hash browns there that I saved some and cooked more eggs the next day at home Although my husband didn't like his scrambled eggs because he says they were as flat and not fluffy. And they were not very busy when we arrived and had additional staff come in as their peak hour approached around 9:00. This restaurant was close to my hotel and there seemed to be options for my gluten and dairy free diet. You order at the walk up counter and you are served at the table. I ordered the AG Power Plate with Two folded or fried eggs*, grilled chicken breast, avocado, tomato, vinaigrette, and dill. Anda coffee. Parking: Free Located @ Trillith in Fayettville This meal was really delicious, seasoned well, I was expecting whole a Hashbrowns but I got some cube potatoes that were slightly crispy on the outside & warm & tender on the inside, a half of a friend egg was on top, ai was definitely shocked to see half of an fried egg. It had peppers, onions, jalapeños & some crack sauce. All the flavors, spices & crack sauce just mixed all well together. The crack sauce is mato based. A bit off the beaten path for us we found a Hero and let me say it was definitely what we needed on this given morning! Of the many options I totally went with a breakfast sandwich with egg bacon and cheese it was on a yummy roll with some sauce on it to add a bit of zest to an already yummy breakfast sandwich. They also have donuts here and of them we totally went with one of the strawberry ones it was super good and better than your average donut so do yourself a favor and don't overlook them! Very average sort of "diner" experience, but the ambiance is cute. I like that they have chewable ice. Very minimal but colorful. The staff were nice enough but I think he caught them at a time with a lull, so they were sort of lethargic. I got a Hero Breakfast plate. The bacon was slightly under done and the entire plate besides the fruit was very greasy. The flavor was okay, minimally seasoned. Was staying at the Trilith Guesthouse and decided to go for an early morning walk and stumbled upon this delicious delight!! I went in with zero expectations and left elated!! What a gem, no frills just a simple menu executed perfectly!!! Had a super fresh fruit cup, donut and Breakfast Sandwich...simple right? Yeah but you can taste the love and great ingredients. I was staying in Trilith for some meetings an stopped by for lunch. No problem finding a seat or getting my order in. I really, really wanted to try the fried chicken but my body needed a salad. I split the difference and got a salad topped with fried chicken. I can't believe I'm going to say this: I was really impressed with the salad! What a gem!!! Firstly when you arrive to this entire area you will be thrilled! Leave yourself time to walk around it is beautiful with a lot of photo opportunities (swing, an outdoor tv area, outdoor fire pits and beautiful store and walk ways). There is also free parking! I absolutely love the entire area. Now hero recently opened up and I stumbled in and it was clean and such friendly staff. They do have an array of food options including delicious looking pastry's (I'll have to go back and try them). I ordered a chicken burger and fries and a lemonade that is house made. We visited Hero on a Saturday morning around 10:30 am, right before the crowds started coming in. There was live piano music on the patio that started at 11:00 am, not sure if it's a regular occurrence but it was pleasant. As soon as it hit 11:30 am, almost all the tables were seated, so just be mindful of how quickly they're busy. I asked many questions and the employee (maybe a manager) was very nice to answer them all. I wished they had more non-caffeinated options for their beverages, but they don't serve herbal tea. I had a small vanilla latte which was very nice. We ordered the French Toast and the AG Power Plate. The tomato on the power plate was a yellow heirloom variety glazed with vinaigrette which was my favorite thing. Unfortunately, it was maybe two slices of the tomato. The grilled chicken was flavorful. The avocado was fresh. The eggs were just ok. The french toast came with a pitiful sized piece of fried chicken tender in the eyes of this southerner. They also serve "crunchy" ice, if you know, you know. I ordered an apple fritter and a carrot cake doughnut. The carrot cake is an amazing cake doughnut. The apple fritter has actual pieces of apple inside, and its not oily. Probably the best doughnuts of this side of Atlanta. The interior is very pretty with a lot of clean white paired with pops of red and blue. There is ample seating, both inside and outside on a patio. I really liked the lights that were chosen above the tables on the inside. Park for free along the street. It's mostly parallel parking or theres a surface lot in the area closer to the Piedmont gym, but you'll have a little walk. I would come back for the café aspect or a late afternoon dessert. It would be an ideal place to work on a laptop, and we did want to get some things done online. Unfortunately, their internet wasn't working. It's a great location for people watching. While we were there, some type of filming was taking place. I think this place might not be for a typical resident of Fayette County because the portions are on the small size for the price. If a person is used to dining in Atlanta then this would be a good choice. read more

This is a really nice addition to the Trilith area. There is seating inside and outside, we sat outside and it was very comfortable. The service is great, you order at the register and then given a table number. The food is brought out to you at your table. The food was really really good. OMG! This delightful gem is tucked away in the beautiful Trilith area (I hope I'm saying this right, no disrespect to the locals)! I was in town visiting for the day and stopped here needing coffee and a small bite. Everything about Hero is a win! Perfect setting, cute, bright decor, excellent music and big windows that provide fabulous, early morning sunlight! Greeted as we walked in by a friendly, bearded gentleman who appeared to be either a manager or perhaps the owner, sporting a Hero ball cap. Welcomed by staff as a first timer with an announcement, accompanied by applause. Nice touch! Very friendly, accommodating staff who all appeared happy to be working, offering every component of service with a smile and an eagerness to assist with anything we needed. Yummy coffee, chicken minis were perfectly prepared and deliciously seasoned; an order of 4 was perfect for two to share. Now let's get into these donuts... Who doesn't appreciate aesthetically pleasing donuts that taste as good or better than they look??? People were lined up to purchase boxes of donuts to either sit and enjoy or take to go! The adult customers seemed to be equally as excited as the children! If I lived in the area, I'd definitely be a regular but since I don't, I'll settle for being a regular, "out-of-towner!" Great place for a donut or more. Hamburgers and fries are great, a fuller breakfast or just a donut and coffee. Great coffee. Some donuts are too sweet, the normal yeast donut is kind of dry. BUT. The Boston cream is pretty amazing - fresh vanilla bean cream on the inside, not custard, and little chocolate crunchies on the chocolate outside. Super good. That particular donut is $4 though. We had the Hero House Salad with grilled chicken, the chicken sandwich, fries, the blueberry cake donut, banana pudding donut, and the raspberry filled donut. Everything was awesome! Super loaded, fresh, and flavorful salad. Top tier donuts, unique and delicious flavors! But most importantly, the customer service was excellent. Hero has surprisingly great burgers! The meat is fresh and of good quality. Bun is very fresh too. It's almost as fresh as a farm to table burger place. The pudding donut is great. They really should make more of this type of donut, rather than the others. read more
