I came here for the food as I do not drink alcohol. I tried the brisket, pulled pork, mac and cheese, fries and chips. Fries were good but very salty. My friends really enjoyed the different beer options. From the outside, the place looks a bit plain but when you go inside it has a lot of character. Plenty of seating and head upstairs for a pool table and pinball machines. Service was okay. Had the Chicago beef sandwich and it was very tasty but a little small. I like that for $1 you can get a side salad. Very nice. Beers were decent but 13 oz vs 16 for a single IPA is a big cheap. The place has a cool Grateful Dead meats zombie vibe. Service was just ok. 6 pm half full place and the poor bartender had to handle all the tables and the bar. I really liked Voodoo Brewing! It's a spacious venue, with two floors. The first floor is comprised of the bar, tables, and lots of extra seating. The upstairs is more of a lounge vibe with pinball machines and extra space. Voodoo Brewing is primary known for it's elaborate selection of on-tap beers and ciders, but I got the steak salad. I thought this brewery was just ok. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for some lunch and beer. It wasn't overly crowded- maybe 3-4 tables of people. The waitress we had seemed very inconvenienced by us or that she didn't want to be there. That certainly made our experience less enjoyable. We tried several beers and split their nachos and pizza. We were visiting the area for a couple of Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training games and happened upon this bar while heading toward the Central Avenue area of St. Petersburg, Florida. The brewery immediately caught our eye as we were driving by, it looked like it had a great vibe and a really inviting setting. After stopping in, we were happy to find that it definitely lived up to that first impression. The beers we tried were above average, and there were also plenty of other typical beer options you'd expect to find at a bar if craft beer isn't your thing. We didn't try any of the food, so we can't comment on that. Service was great as well. The bartender was very friendly and helped guide us with our selections, which made the experience even better. A wide selection of beers including many from other breweries. A couple of us had the brown ale. Very good! The other had a pineapple seltzer which she found refreshing. I enjoyed great beer and fun ambiance. We played table tennis and other games. We decided to try a flight of beers to allow us to sample more beers. The PB&J was my favorite. I was disappointed in the food. The pork nachos were cold and didn't have much meat on them. We liked the wings and they lived up to the hype from a friend. I've been watching this being built for the past 2 years during my visits to St. Pete, so I was finally glad to see it open. I would say my first two visits were solid. The place is very spacious with lots of seating, including upstairs area with retro games. I'd tried the Lacto Kooler before and it is not my thing, but I was told it recently won some award, so grabbed a taster to retry...still not my thing. The Oh Mama was easy drinking and my favorite. For food, I got the St. Pete Caprese, which was covered in field greens. This was unique for me, and I thought it worked. My friends enjoyed their food too. The "Specials" board advertised a variety of items (burger, pizza, etc.) that came with a free beer. Seems like a good deal to me! The servers were a treat; very friendly and attentive. read more

Review is for beer & atmosphere only, but now that I have been, I will be back again and next time I plan to eat there. Stopped in last night because I saw online that they have pinball machines. Upstairs they have about six or seven pinball machines, electronic dartboard, pool table and a couple other games. The place is huge with lots of seating upstairs and downstairs. Big bar area that includes liquor, which is nice for people who don't drink beer. They have about 20 taps with about 8 to 10 dedicated to their beer. I had already eaten and had a couple of vodka sodas somewhere else so I just got an empty calories which is their light lager. My friend sampled a few things and got an IPA. Friendly staff. Beer was cold. They were having a voodoo idol karaoke competition and it was pretty packed for a Tuesday night. We went upstairs and played pimple. We recently went to VooDoo Brewing for lunch on a Sunday - It wasn't super crowded so we sat right down and a server came over. Great selection of beer on tap (the Lacto-Kooler was phenomenal), and they made a great Bloody Mary; but, for me, the showstopper was their Voo-Dill pickle pizza. Our food was slow to arrive but they were down to one food that day and hustling as fast as possible. I had a delicious turkey club with house made potato chips. But the dill pickle pizza is probably the most unique thing on the menu. My friends loved it. The place is very spacious. TVs mounted around to watch whatever game is on at the moment. Each visit was overshadowed by uncomfortable interactions with the manager, Mike, who was also working as the bartender. In my experience, his behavior felt extremely inappropriate and made both staff and customers uncomfortable, especially women. What should have been a relaxed and fun environment ended up feeling awkward and unsettling. I gave this place multiple chances, hoping it was a one-off situation, but it wasn't. Because of how uncomfortable he made me feel, I've decided not to come back. A brewery should feel welcoming and safe, and sadly this one did not. read more

Came in on a Monday at 2pm, it was a holiday. Decently busy, but nothing crazy. As we sat down we quickly realized there was only one server. Not a huge deal, perhaps a server called out. Once our girl finally came over she let us know she's the only server because she (whispers) "she doesn't want to share tips." Um, okay. We ordered. Wings, a chopped salad and blue burger. Husband ordered a flight of beer which was quite pricey but it was fun to taste the different beers. The flight took awhile because the ONE bartender had a ton of orders to fill. Perhaps, she too, doesn't want to share tips lol. The flight came out after the wings. As we all know, wings take awhile... Food came out. Everything tasted fine, but nothing was hot. Probably in part because our food was apparently ready for quite some time. The bartender had to come over and serve us our food. The salad was not what I would call a chopped salad. Just field greens with some tomato and cucumber on top. Not worth it. It's worth mentioning the wings and burger actually come with a beer (love that!). We got one beer, but was never offered the 2nd beer. We didn't realize this until we left. Oh well. Place is cool looking, good beer and we would like to give it another shot and Hopefully leave a better review. Hoping owner/management steps up their staffing game. read more

We decided to stop by Voodoo brewing yesterday for a burger. We arrived about 6pm and they were fairly busy. We grabbed a seat at the bar right next to the service station. We sat there for 10 minutes before being asked if we wanted something to drink. The bartender took our order, but then got side tracked and had to come back 5 minutes later to ask what we wanted again. Everyone was nice, but the service was truly terrible. We had to ask for everything. Every drink order we saw go out was wrong and the servers were struggling. We got a flight of their beer and we weren't overly impressed. It tastes like home brew. We order our burgers, one medium and one medium rare. Food came out fairly quickly and a food runner dropped both in front of us. We asked which one was medium and which was medium rare. She said they just cook them, not to temperature. The bartender disagreed and said the server didn't pay attention. Both burger were a bit overcooked, but the flavor was good. It had bacon, cheddar, onion rings, bbq, and bang bang sauce on them. The flavor combo was great. They were served with fresh chips, but they were cold and not salted. Overall, out first impression wasn't great. The burger was good, but the rest was a mess. Hopefully they get their service issues resolved and improved. read more
