We spent 1.5 hours warming up, getting used to the flow, learning beginner level salsa, even Suzy Q salsa step. I've danced salsa for so many years but never actually took an adult dance class just for fun. It was the perfect date with my favorite +1 and such a fun way to do something different and learn something new with zero pressure. Kathryn was amazing and she made it so easy to learn. We had a full house and everyone was so fun to dance with no matter the skill set or experience, everyone was welcome. Absolutely love the revamped studio and how big and full of light the room is. There are so many classes on their schedule and so many fun things to try for adults only. Great space where no one takes themselves too seriously and you can come learn and have fun. Can't wait to do another fun class here again!

The recital outfits aren't skimpy and the music they use is truly lovely without being inappropriate for kids like other studios have. I wish there was a better waiting room for parents but if that's my biggest critique then this is an awesome studio. He can be currently found at the very unique space combining dance and drinking coffee, Garage Dance Studio & Coffee Lounge. While the dance studio and the coffee lounge share the same space, they don't share the same hours of operation. I was here a few months ago, to find the coffee portion in the dark and the dance floor in full bloom! I came again yesterday afternoon, to find the opposite. This time the coffee lounge was open, and no one was on the dance floor. The inside is set to look like you're in somewhere in Madrid amongst the colorful buildings, where the tables are all adorned with red tablecloths. Of course, the barista working was Taki Tanaka. We chatted briefly and he made me the most delightful Honey Fig Latte. It was creamy, foamy, with a beautiful rose art design he hand poured himself. This was mildly sweet, rich in coffee, utterly satisfying with each sip. I just wish there was dance to see.

I decided to order a Chai Latte because I had never tried it before. I don't drink coffee, but the Chai Latte was good. For me, it needed to be a little sweeter, but all in all, it was a Chai Latte. There is also a dance studio located inside the coffee shop. They offer dance lessons, and the inside, from the dance clothes to the others hanging from the window, gives off a Latin vibe.

I would give this studio ten stars if it were possible. I first came to Nirvana Yoga 12 years ago…read more I had been interested in yoga for a while and had done some on my own. I had practiced at another studio but was not comfortable there. I first went to Nirvana when my daughter had broken her foot during a dance competition. Since she couldn't dance for a while I thought yoga would be good for her. It seemed like a nice mother-daughter thing to do. At my first class, I fell in love with the practice, and Ruth Anne, who was my first teacher there. The experience was calming and felt really good in my body. I enjoyed it so much I have been back nearly every day since then. Ruth Anne made me and my daughter felt comfortable and reassured. She said that if there was anything we didn't want to do it was ok. She gave very good and specific instructions. I felt that there was always safety in mind. I was able to reach a point of relaxation that I hadn't experienced before. I appreciate the variety of postures formats offered at the studio. The difficulty level always seems just right for me. Often I will go to class and it seems that Ruth Anne knows exactly what I need that day. All this led me to want to learn more so I decided to take the Nirvana teacher training and become a yoga teacher. That experience was life-changing. It allowed me to feel more comfortable with my own practice and to be able to share how good I felt through the practices of yoga and meditation in hopes that others will experience their own wonderful practice of yoga. Thank you Ruth Anne for your extensive knowledge of postures, anatomy, philosophy, Buddhism and your ability to empower student teachers to speak, demonstrate and communicate well. I highly recommend this studio to anyone who is just starting yoga, or who is looking for a high-quality studio to continue their studies, or seeking a life-changing Yoga Teacher training.
