Took my brand new 2025 car in this morning for its first service after purchasing this car at Voss in September. I pulled my car into the service department and left it for an oil change. When I came back, it had been parked in the front parking lot. It had been scratched by a bicycle that had fallen over. I reported it to the service manager, they asked to look it over and document it and stated they'd call me later. Several hours later, they texted to let me know they found out whose bike it was and gave me the contact info to discuss with them. I sat down with the service manager to ask what the solution was since it was damaged when they had parked it and moved it and I was not there or had any say in it. He informed me they had zero responsibility for it no matter the severity or who was driving or parked there. They told me who hit it and told me to call that individual for their insurance information. Very good to know that they don't take care of your vehicles when servicing them even for something as small as an oil change and that no matter what, the damage is the owners responsibility. I asked to see the policy regarding understanding it was not their responsibility and he could not provide one. read more

Update on my previous review. My Mother in law took her car here to have the oil changed and they completed a service inspection. They informed her that she had a front cover seal that was bad and leaking. Quoted $700 first and came back with a $2400 confirmed quote. I drove the vehicle to another dealership in my state and it was diagnosed as nothing wrong with it at all, seal is fine. The oil that was all over the motor was from a sloppy oil change from the Voss dealership! Nothing but trying to extort $2400 from an elderly person because they know she can't look at it herself! Zero integrity. Typical used car sales. I had been communicating with Sales Consultant, Travis Schaefer, for several weeks about purchasing a CPO car from Voss. We traded dozens of emails about the car, approved financing terms, and he volunteered to hold the car until I could come see it, as I was purchasing from out of state. I informed Voss I would not be able to make the trip until over the upcoming weekend and was asked what day I would arrive, so they could pull the car out of the showroom so I could drive it. That was on a Thursday. I was scheduled to arrive the following Monday, four days later. So, on Thursday, they are supposed to be holding the car and pulling it out of the showroom for me on Monday, meanwhile 'keeping me posted' on any developments. I rented a car to make the 7 hour drive, booked a hotel room in the area, secured insurance for the new car (which they told me I needed... yeah, we were that far along) and SOLD my previous vehicle. Saturday afternoon, I receive a one-sentence email telling me the car has been sold. No other warning. I responded - nothing. I call immediately - no response. I reached out to Sales Managers, Brandon Horn and Greg Hill, Monday morning. I was told that they "didn't see a commitment to buy." When I showed the very specific email correspondence, I was told it was a "miscommunication" and that "it could have been worded differently, and will be in the future." Which part? The part where they approved the financing? Agreed to let me drive 7 hours, rent a car, book a hotel and purchase insurance? The part where they volunteered to hold the car and knew when I would arrive so they could have the car ready? That's a lot of miscommunication. Or did they just sell the car out from under me? That seems like a more logical explanation. When confronted (and frustrated) with these facts, they just stopped responding altogether; as mature business people do. Honestly, probably for the best as these are not the kinds of people I would want to give my business or my money to, and you shouldn't either. Trust and integrity are hallmarks of business relationships, especially when purchasing a vehicle, and Voss clearly has neither. I would think twice before bringing any vehicle for service to this business. Greeted by a customer service rep who politely asked who the service shop rep I made my appointment with? She was on the phone and customer service rep instructed me to go to a rep that wasn't busy who started to help me. The original rep became free and then took over. She was extremely rude, talked fast, and then realized that I wasn't the appointment they had begun to load the information into the system. She began to get irate saying why did I acknowledge that I was someone else when she asked, which she repeated several times? I told her I didn't hear what she said. She threw her tablet down aggressively onto the desk swiping her walkie talkie mumbling and storming out. It was an extremely uncomfortable situation which I told her when she returned and thought she would have apologized? Instead she stared at me. I called the manager and left a message on his VM asking for a return call. Still no call back. Quality of work performed was satisfactory, but I will drive a few more miles to Jeff Schmidt Chevy next time. read more

My wife and I went to Voss Chevrolet in Centerville, OH from out of state to look at a pre-owned Mercedes on Tues, March 9th. I told the sale rep, Brandon, we would come back on Thursday, March 11th to take a closer look at it. I called Brandon on Thursday to let him know because of the inclement weather, we would not come over. I called him again that day to say I would come over on Friday, March 12th. When I arrived on Friday morning the car had a "SOLD" sign on the windshield. The courteous and professional thing to do would have been to call to let me know it was sold. It would have saved me 2.5 hours of driving and half a tank of gas. I never even got an apology for the inconvenience. I certainly can't recommend Voss Chevrolet. read more

Today when I called to check on it again (they will not call you) the woman on the phone for the service department could not find my car listed under my name or any other probable name. Bizarre! Then she was put off by the fact that I don't know my VIN number for my vehicle. Is that something you're supposed to memorize?! Lol. (August 2018) Remember back in the day...when you could Not trust a Used Car salesman?..... OH! ..Wait! It still is that way! Voss Chevrolet on Loop Rd in Centerville, Oh. Sales agent Martin and Doug . Selling a Tahoe 6yrs old only 84,000 miles $27,000.+ After days of negotiations. Their mechanics had done a service overhaul. I drove in to test drive a second time 1 1/2 hours one way! Car was beautiful on outside. I was ready to write the check. Took it to a mechanic.(see pics below) Corrosive corrosion underneath. In returning, I asked if they were going to tell me about that? I received silence from the sales guys, but the Voss employee behind the counter said to me angrily, that he could take me out to ANY NEW car and show you the same rust! Wow! REALLY? First of all let's start with the salesman, before I even set down they had the vehicle pulled out front and wanting me to take a test drive. The sales person knew nothing about the vehicle that I was looking at. I felt my like they wanted me in and out of their dealership very quickly. Next a week after I purchased the vehicle I had issues with the tires that were on the vehicle, they were starting to dry rot out and the dealership never meant to even bother to change them out. I was disappointed by this service visit. I took my 2013 Avalanche in for oil,filter and tire rotation ($59.95). I also requested they check the right front tire for a very slow leak and properly reset the TPM system which says the left front is the tire losing air. My service advisor, Brandon, quoted me an estimate of about $28 for cleaning and reseating the bead on the leaking tire (plus the oil change of course). When I went to the cashier to pay for the service, the total was nearly $120.00 since I was charged $60.00 plus tax for the tire repair. When I complained to the cashier, she contacted Brandon who reduced that charge to about $27.50. When I got home, I noticed that the multipoint inspection report was not included in my paperwork. I called and spoke to Brandon who stated that they email them now. When I asked when that started, he said "about two years ago". I then told him that I received a printed copy at my last oil change in December 2019. Then his story changed to "he sends his by email". He stated that he would send it now and asked that I confirm my email address which I did. Then he claimed computer problems for a few minutes and finally said he would send the report later. I have yet to receive an emailed report. I feel that Brandon tried to play me as an old fool and I do not appreciate it. I was initially overcharged and then fed a line of BS. If he continues to work there, I will not deal with him again. My advice, past that, get a WRITTEN estimate and check it against your bill when paying. Hopefully, this practice of deceit is limited to one person but you never know. Protect yourself. read more

I tried to purchase a non chevy vehicle from their pre-owned inventory. After I called and got a final price from one of the sales. Then I had my friend to go check the car since I'm from a different state. But they flipped the story and increased the price and they were very unprofessional not friendly at all. Sales person denied what he had say to me by the phone. Thankfully I had an email received from one of the sales confirms the communications that I had with them. But they even didn't care about it. Purchased a 2014 GM Certified used truck less than a year ago. Found out during the heavy rains recently that there is a leak in the seal around the windshield that had clearly been shoddily repaired at some point before. The point where the leak was occurring was very obvious, but according to the service department "might still require a few hours of diagnostics." Long story short, they informed me that I needed a new windshield to the tune of $500. When asked about the warranty on the truck, they told me that glass is not covered through GM, which I can understand. When asked if there was anything Voss would be willing to do to stand by the product they sold or by their customers, I was told that there was nothing. Poor service, poor pricing, and poor customer retention. Will not be returning. EDIT: Voss called me shortly after posting this offering to "help out with the windshield issue." Slow negotiating for a used car. Used distraction tactics with information not relevant to negotiations. Upon agreement to purchase had an outdated CarFax for signature that was way old. I had already checked the up-to-date carfax. Did NOT do the prep work on car as they promised. They seem to push wanting to deliver the car right then and there. Must be a bonus to the salesman to deliver on the spot but it took hours to actually fake doing the promised work in prep. And then the coolant was low. I should have just left when the game in negotiations started and gone to Jeff Scmitt Chevrolet who had several cars that I wanted but had higher mileage than I wanted. Lots of glitz but I would NOT buy a car, used or new, from them again. I wanted the car I got, but it left a bad taste in my mouth over the deal and sloppy operation. read more

Absolutely worst service in town. Dropped my car off to be serviced and headed out of town for an entire week. Upon returning I was told there were no issues with the car (false) and never received a phone call to let me know the car was "ready" to be picked up. They also didn't take care of fixing the safety recall on my car when they explicitly told me they "check every car that comes through here" to see if a fix needs to be done or not. Repair associates were rude on the phone and kept asking me what they had previously fixed on the car, as if I had the list of everything that's ever been done on it! I told them they could probably look it up in their system since I don't no the entire service history of the car and the guy on the other line practically hung up on me. I've never liked this dealership and I should have never taken my vehicle back there. They were the only ones that could get me in before leaving for Florida. I have now had 2 wheel bearings replaced and a third that needs to be done. Voss took my warranty card (extended bumper to bumper, exp. 11.19.19, 75,000 miles purchased for additional fee at the time of purchase). The warranty covered the first wheel bearing. I take the car in for the second wheel bearing repair and the CS, Aaron Stroop takes my warranty card again but tells me this is not covered. I'm leaving for Florida, I need my car safe for the drive. Trusting that this person checked the warranty I agreed to eat the repair. I ask Mr. Stroop for the total and he says $452. I get to the dealership and they want me to pay $597. The manager reviews the receipt and says "Oh, the alignment should be $94." That's half of what it was on my invoice. So if I wouldn't have asked my repair CS person, I would have been over charged by $100. Now I have returned from Florida and my car has the same lights on. I decide to call my warranty company and guess what? It was covered and I should have never had to pay to begin with. This is sloppy customer service at best. They cost me $500 of my vacation money that I now have to wait another month to be reimbursed for, this place is SHADY! There was no call from a manager, no apology or any suggestion of what they might be able to do to make this up to me. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! read more

Took my vehicle to the Voss Chevy Service center due to a letter that I received from Chevy about an inoperative purge solenoid. I received the letter in July 2018. My vehicle just started experiencing the conditions described in the letter. Chevy informed me to take it to my nearest Chevy dealer which was Voss Chevrolet Centerville. I received the worst customer service from Alice and Manager Tim Whalen. They had my vehicle for 2 days, left it on empty and charged me a diagnostic fee because they couldn't get my vehicle "to totally misbehave" as Alice put it. I have a mechanic and didnt take it there to diagnose it but fix the faulty part. The Manager refused to give my car back unless I paid and I had to end up calling the police for assistance. I will never buy another Chevy nor will I ever visit Voss Chevy Service Center again. Tim Whalen should not be a manager, as I'm sure his customer service is not what brings customers back! Hope the $53 diagnostic fee was worth ruining Voss Chevy Service Centers reputation. read more

Our sales person, Gene King, was fantastic - that is why I rated three stars. Otherwise, our visit was a less than positive experience. It took 4 hours to buy the car, even though we arrived at the dealership shortly after it opened on a Monday morning and were the only customers. When we received the vehicle it had not been cleaned/detailed, as the employees cleaned the incorrect car. At that point, we were so frustrated we left without receiving a proper introduction to our new vehicle. read more

This was our first time having our car serviced at Voss and it was a terrible experience. We dropped it off on a Thursday evening for what was supposed to be an oil change and checking out an issue we had with the front end. Five days later we finally received our SUV back with no apology and a very vague explanation of what exactly was wrong and what they did to fix it. Our service advisor was not transparent and failed to communicate clearly with us the entire time, leaving us to call and check in, ask questions and so on. This complete lack of failure in the line of communication made us very uneasy, hesitant and leary the service was performed correctly. Speaking to the 'manager' was a joke. He mearly complained about how much work he had to do and how busy he was. It is unlikely we will return to this location for service. Not a good first impression. read more

My front license plate bracket fell off when I ran my new car through a car wash. I got the bracket and then went to voss service. They passed me from one guy back to another. David, service manager and Matt were the ones I talked to. They went out and they first looked for damage so they could call it my fault, when it was clearly installed wrong. They didn't even say, "you will have to buy a new one, but we will help you put it on". They plainly looked me in the face and said "not sure". I asked "so, you want to do nothing to help me" and they said "Yes, we can't do anything". I felt so "little" by these people. NO clue on customer service or any concern with my problem. I bought a 2015 Subaru Impreza from them a couple of weeks ago. The salesman was just ok but seemed to get annoyed with me when I asked if 'that's the lowest he could go'. I do LOVE the vehicle and since it still was under the 3yr./36k mile warranty, I took it to the Wagner Subaru dealership in Fairborn for a once over, for no charge! Just want to throw out there that they IMMEDIATELY treated me as family and valued me as a customer (and I hadn't spent a penny with them.. yet)!! Much different experience from Voss. They had told me there was a cross threaded lug nut that Voss must've done while putting on the new front breaks. I called Voss to have them fix it and again... he seemed annoyed like it wasn't his problem. I got an uneasy feeling and always go with my gut so I'll be taking it back to the Subaru dealership and pay them to have it fixed! Voss just doesn't seem to value their customers. read more

Brian Wyatt did a great job of helping me out with my oil change. He advised me on a couple recalls that were on my vehicle and planned out the easiest way to complete the recalls. He helpful in order the part i needed for the recall and an additional part for something that broke in my vehicle. One recall was even able to be checked off during the oil change which made me happy since it would mean less visits in my busy schedule. I definitely recommend the service and the advisors at Voss Chevy, and will make them my go-to place for oil changes and service. read more
