My wife and I recently sold our Condo in LA, but with one stipulation, we had to close within 30 days, which meant a fast and efficient long distance exit. We were not remaining in the LA area, thus we were interested in selling virtually everything rather than moving 7 years worth of contents or storing the contents due to storage and long distance moving costs. Thus, we quickly considered various optimal options and were so incredibly pleased with our selection, engagement and the execution of AESofLA. From the very first contact with owners, Holly and Kelly, professionalism, an attitude we have done this many times before and we will handle your Estate Sale smoothly exuded. This is a firm that loves what they are doing (important), has executed many large and high priced estate sales (experienced), and they bring the required talent needed to handle the many facets of this complex business (resources) to pull off a successful outcome. The firm did a beautiful job in ticketing, fair market pricing every item in the sale, staged our contents for best selling results, had 6 employees onsite to handle the sales flow and client flow, had a guard on premise at all times, had a moving company available for items to large to move, all sold items went through a "point of sale" register for accurate accounting of all pieces sold, assistance in moving heavy items to cars/vans was available, and even an after the event cleaning crew (which we took advantage of and they did a great job) came in and made the place look like the Estate Sale never took place. AESofLA has Estate Sales down to a science (pros) , they are a delight to work with (fun), and make a stressful time of life (moving out) roll by like it is no big deal. Now you are saying this is "too good to be true", right? Well the only thing I would mention is you have to be realistic about is what another party is wiling to pay for your "stuff". While we may of thought we had the best decorated and furnished condo in Brentwood......not all of America would agree. While our pride and what we paid retail comes into play, we and you need to be realistic about what somebody else would pay for your like new "stuff". With that said, some items sold for more than we thought possible and a number of items went for far less, but if your Primary Goal is to liquidate, this is a fair, equitable, streamlined method to move on. In closing, at our recent 2-day Estate Sale Event, AESofLA sold, handled and moved 272 separate individual items out for an approximate 90% sell through and this allowed us to move as needed and to execute a smooth long distance departure on time.....which was the OBJECTIVE. I found - online - a set of votive candle holders at Mosaik that I wanted to buy. The price was…read morehigher than I wanted to pay so I engaged in a conversation about the candle holders (and their price) with a person I presume is the owner of Mosaik. I ultimately countered with a lower price for the candle holders. The person I was emailing with - again online - said "ok." Great, I thought! I just got the deal I wanted for the item I wanted to purchase. However, actually completing the purchase online was complicated and I could not figure out how to pay the price I thought we had agreed upon. I asked my contact several times how to conclude the purchase. She gave me instructions to conclude the purchase - which again did not work. But finally, my contact at Mosaik told me that she had never accepted my offer in the 1st place. I think this was a case of "seller's remorse" where the person changed her mind on our agreement. I think Mosaik was being sneaky, or lying, or - at the very least - had communicated in bad faith and in an unprofessional manner. Of course, I don't know for sure. But - to me - the conversation and most importantly my offer of a specific price was clear and unambiguous. I have looked over our conversation several times and - again - in my opinion - it is very clear that Mosaik had agreed upon my counter-offer price. I will attach a screen shot of the conversation so that you can draw your own conclusions. But I have decided that I will never buy anything from a seller who conducts themselves in a sneaky and underhanded manner - or, at least, who negotiates in a sloppy manner. I expect better from people who hold themselves out as professional retail outlets. To me, if they will be sloppy while negotiating price, they will be sloppy on other things too.

I could spend hours in this showroom and I believe everything was totally appropriately priced! Unfortunately I do not know how to spell the owners name and I don't want to butcher the spelling - but he was extremely kind and warm and a total pleasure to talk to. I've been going to Succor Estate Sales sales for years now, and they are definitely the best! The…read morequality of the items available always depends on the home, but Melissa, Stacy and their team always seem to choose houses full of treasures -- from art to furniture and, my personal favorite, books! Melissa, the owner, is a joy to talk to and always brings such a light to the experience. She keeps the sales highly-organized so that you can enjoy yourself versus having to scramble or fight with people over items. Big purses are not allowed in the sale, but the kind people who work there will hold onto your bag for you. Otherwise, leave it in the car. :) These are not NOT garage sales, but prices are always very fair (and hot tip -- *sometimes* they go down over the course of the sale!). I've looked up many of the items I've purchased and found that Succor's prices were lower than compatibles on a site like EBay and way less than a speciality shop. Also, if you are looking to have a sale, you can trust Succor with your home. They are always looking out for the owner to help you get a) a good amount of cash from your sale and b) respect for the home and items on sale.

John Moran auctioneers (Bob Cullen) got back to me saying they too could not identify the artist but they were very interested in putting the painting in an upcoming auction. I was totally interested in consigning. It wasn't my first rodeo as I sell vintage and sold through Swann in NYC. Swann has handled individual prints for me but not a painting. So I was hoping to find a local auction house for the painting to avoid shipping it. Swann charges 15% commission. I was waiting to hear back from Moran as I was planning to drop the painting off. That is until I heard their fee would be 35% plus a $50 fee for photography. To me that is highway robbery. I reached out to Swann as, at that rate, I'd rather ship it to them.

Wow, this place is amazing. I must have spent over 2 hours just admiring everything. I have been…read morelooking all over LA and San Diego for ideas and items to decorate my home. I've tried retailers from World Market to Pottery Barn with no luck. I am really looking for art, originality and quality. I luckily stumbled across Li Hing of Hong Kong, this place is like an Art Museum. The people that operates the place is extremely knowledgeable in regards to the history of each piece. They have anywhere from quality precious stone jewelry, to small snuff bottles to handcarved art pieces to large pieces of furniture. Just amazing... Pricing is also very reasonable, I ended up buying a very beautiful and quality real wood cabinet/bookshelf for 1/3 the cost of what I can find at a place like Restoration Hardware. (oh, and they were willing to work with me on pricing a little bit, which was kind of cool.) I'll definitely be back!
