They worked around my schedule and didn't rush the job, taking an extra day due to some damage to the roof on my screened in porch, which I knew we'd run into due to the old skylights leaking. Shaun gave me multiple options regarding the repair which enabled me to determine how much I wanted to spend on the repairs without compromising the structural integrity of the finished job. Our window started leaking after the other contractor finished the siding project. When we tried to contact the other contractor, he would not return our many calls, texts, or emails. We tried to contact a couple other companies (including the company that originally installed our windows) for help, but no one wanted to get involved or would help us because they did not want to be liable for the other contractor's work. Shaun Murphy (owner of Murphy's Exterior Construction) just happened to be working on a project at our neighbor's house during this same time period. We asked him to come over to look at the work that was completed on our house and he immediately started pointing out significant issues with the way the siding was installed. He also immediately reassured us that he would help us and would complete any necessary repairs. Shaun had to come up with a unique way to fix our windows to prevent future damage, since the other contractor had done such a horrible job and had ruined all the trim around our windows. Shaun repaired all the issues with our house shortly thereafter, which avoided significant damage that would have happened to our house had these repairs not been completed. He is very reliable and does amazing work. He even agreed to help us when we told him that we may need him to testify on our behalf against the other contractor in a lawsuit. I would highly recommend Murphy's Exterior Construction!!

Aligned on a quote for a complete removal, reframing, and refinishing of patio stairs in May and insisted on 50% down at that time to secure a timeslot on their schedule. After repeated delays, the owner John finally showed up to start the project in August. He proceeded to demo the stairs (as well as damage exterior siding in the process) and then stated that there was water damage that he was not comfortable dealing with and that he would finish the work after a restoration service repaired the OSB. We had a restoration expert replace the boards and when we called John to finish the stairs he committed to a date. The day before he was supposed to show up, he emailed to say that he was no longer available to finish the project. When we asked about a refund for the down payment, he insisted that the time spent demo'ing the stairs consumed the 50% down. The quote was for 12 hours of labor and all he did was remove 3 stairs that were already falling apart. I've heard from another client who said I got off lucky because the work he actually did at their house was shoddy and required repair shortly after. Buyer beware!

After a prompt initial phone call, John M. met me at my building, perfectly prepared to answer all my questions and he'd very obviously paid attention to my specific concerns from when we spoke (about being a messy tear-off in a tight, highly visible lot.) Worth noting, as a single woman business owner - John's candor and professionalism were greatly appreciated. He met / exceeded every promise on price, workmanship and completion date (which was not an easy goal to meet, but he got it done!) The process could not have been easier for me. And despite the fact CAB was by far the most equipped + experienced company I spoke to - they also came in with the lowest price. I recommend CAB Construction to anyone for roofing.
