They are very knowledgeable and it's clear they are passionate about motor sports. We found something to get our son started on that's appropriate for his size and skill level (the crew at VTP helped us decide what would be best). We also found out they're a great spot for repairs. My husband had been looking for someone in the Bay Area to repair his dirt bike but it's difficult to find anyone and the quotes are totally ridiculous. After looking around for a beginner dirtbike for my 10 year-old son I explored all avenues from various different resources local and online. I found this location and dropped by to have a general idea of what to expect stepping away from the named brand inventory. For me, I basically got a 70cc with full gear for the price of just a named brand 50cc pit bike. I love stretching my money and if you just want to get out their and ride (why not) see if you enjoy the hobby then perhaps move up in scale. I want to thank the staff at VTP Motor sports for assisting me on buy some parts for my mini bike. They were kind and friendly and made me feel at home. Now I want to give a big shout out to the two gentlemen Next door at their service shop that helped me get my mini bike running the proper way. The link I had on my vintage motor had a few missing springs. They adjusted it and installed a link of their own and they installed the throttle and throttle wire to the carburetor. My husband went in lookin to buy dirt bikes for our 2 kids. He doesn't know one dirt bike from the next but assumed that the staff would be knowledgeable and inform him of all any any info needed to make a decision prior to purchasing. But..... the man was far more interested in his own profit than to inquire as to my husband's knowledge was, what the bikes would be used for, or any other conversation you would expect from excellent customer service. We took the our kids up to Carnegie so they could ride their new bikes for the first time and that is when we were informed for the first time that The bikes we purchased were "red sticker" bikes. That was the first time me and my husband were told about "green sticker", "red sticker", what months you were allowed to ride red sticker bikes and where you're allowed to ride red sticker bikes. We were turned away from the park because red sticker at Carnegie is from October to April my kids missed it by days. Both my kids cried the whole drive back home. It broke my heart. we have two bikes sitting in our garage that they're unable to learn how to ride or take to Carnegie where we had planned taking them to ride once we were finally able to buy them bikes. "The right to be informed: to be protected against fraudulent, deceitful, or grossly misleading information, advertising, labeling, or other practices, and to be given the facts needed to make informed choices. The right to choose: to have available a variety of products and services at competitive prices". I feel that we were deceived. I feel like our rights as consumers to be informed was nonexistent. I feel that information was intentionally withheld to complete the purchase. I will be filing a complaint with BBB, Not that the owner of the store would care because they are not accredited by the BBB nor is the BMS brand Company that they carry. But I will still file a complaint. I also intend on reaching out to news stations in Stockton as well as Tracy and "7 on your side" to see if they would be able to help me with letting people know how this business operates & possibly getting our full refund back for these bikes that we were not given the necessary information to make an informed decision before buying. Last resort will be legal action which I hope it doesn't come to that. I really do not like to write bad things about people/businesses or have to look into legal action against them. I will say we did not try to contact the owner of the store as of yet because I Didn't feel it would be beneficial to us at all. I've read some of the reviews and I really wish we had read them and looked into this business before my husband walk through those doors. The only good thing I have to say about this store & our experience is that he knocked the taxes off the price of the two bikes, that was it. Every worker there not wearing masks, i get a really high quote to fix my quad (325$ clutch) when the part is 50$ on Amazon but I said ok fine because I'm no mechanic, I was told it would be done in a few days and I had to call a week and a half later to find out it was done and just sitting there, again I said ok fine, I get there and my bill is now 375$! They said they added a starter which was perfectly fine to begin with and they didn't call to let me know, the guy says do I take it off? If I do it won't start, gave me no choice! they are rip-offs very unprofessional, no communication , just another ripoff mechanic shop here in Stockton never ever going there again!! read more

Came here because I like to support local businesses, especially during these crazy times. Bought a helmet for my little girl and it was little too small, so we didn't even use it. And plan on returning on Monday since we brought on Saturday. Didn't do my homework on this helmet I bought but come to find out I was way overcharged. It's a 2018 model FLY TOXIN HELMET, selling for anywhere between $100-$130 at other stores. I paid full price at $199 plus taxes for a 2 yr. old helmet. The helmet looked like it has been sitting around for awhile collecting dust. Thought they would give me a new one but they didn't. I didn't make a big deal out of it and figured I would just clean it off. Don't mind spending money on a good helmet but felt like I was taking advantage of. They didnt even give me the correct box or cover for it. There was no assistance to help me out, or any suggestions on other helmets at that price range. My wife took it back today and they tried to just give her two sizes up and didn't even bother giving her the right size or order her the right size like other shops would when your spending $200 on a helmet, it's also a major safety issue. They instead give her store credit of $199 dollars only and didn't even include the taxes we paid on the helmet. When we go to use the store credit of $199 on a helmet or something else, we'll still have to pay taxes again for a second time. They need to make it right and order my little girl a medium sized helmet worth $200 dollars. We're out $200+ dollars now, please think twice before spending your hard earned money here. read more

Save your self some time by taking a water bottle full of gas because they will start the bike for a few seconds and turn it back off saying there's no gas........fill it up let it run for a few min and check for oil leaks and check the back brakes and make sure they work, I had to bring the bike back a few time to get them replaced. They will just rob you of your money for a motor vehicle that breaks down every couple of weeks. our sons tires were damaged so he couldn't ride and we thought we could order the tires on Amazon and take them to the shop so they could put them in because we weren't able to do it at home. When we took them in they said we will charge you $25 per tire change. And that was if we took off the tires at home and brought the ATV. If we were able to take them off at home wouldn't we be able to put them back on? They charge $20 for a car and they're over here charging 25 if we take off the tires. Then we told them no we're not gonna take them off we don't know how so could you do it for us and they said it would be $35 per tire if they did it. We bought those tires with our own money not from them? And now we would have to pay $150 on top of that. Not worth it at all and we bought the ATV for $1100 . 3 other families near us also bought them and it's the same situation. Do not buy!!!! read more

I find it harder and harder to get good customer service theses days no matter what the industry. When I do find a business that I feel cares about the customer and their experience I like to leave a nice note. My interaction with VTP has been great. I bought my son the 200CC buggy and he absolutely loves it. The price was great, they walked us through the operation and usage and made sure we understood how to care for the vehicle before we left. They answered all of our questions and Kyle and team helped us load up and made sure everything was secure before we left. It was an over all great experience working with these guys. I had to take the buggy back due to a minor issue that was my fault and Kyle and team fixed the buggy on the spot and were very kind, helpful and friendly. When you get the feeling that people actually care about you and your business it makes me want to come back as a loyal customer. I wish I knew the names of the other guys that helped out so I could give them a proper shout out as well but sadly I don't so I will just say that everyone that I have ever worked with at VTP has been awesome, thanks Guys! read more

Took my scooter in for repairs had them put a supposedly brand new carburetor on it turns out that the carburetor was more likely used bike still did not run right end up having to buy another carburetor three months later will never do business with these guys again no place their products are overpriced went to a different dealer got a brand new carburetor for $65 the one they sold me that was supposedly new they charged me $100 so people beware of this company read more

Bought a dirtbike for my little brother from vtp motor sports so we could go ridding fathersday weekend we took it home test rode it and about 4 hours after it started to leek oil so we called vtp motor sport and they took it in under warranty and they fixed it we picked it up after and rode it again shut it off then we went to ride it the next day and it did not start pulled the plug and no spark so we bought a plug and still no spark we called them back up and the took it back under warranty and it was in the shop for 1 week I called them and thay said it develop another leak so it was in the shop for another week we went to pick it up after they said it was it was done and we started it thare and let it sit for 5 min and we noticed it started leaking again so they took it back in just shy of the warranty due date they said they would replace the motor and they took it back and had it for another week we just picked it up at 4:45 today and the motor was not new but it looks like they tore into it and now it has a very loud timing chain slap that it should not have and did not have before. Im not really mad but disappointed in thare work and how they want stand behind it. However the first and second time we drop the bike off they were really nice but when we picked it up the second time and it started leaking again and we confronted them on it they got really irritated and they where very argumentative the third time we picked it up it didn't look like they even touch the bike it started when we got it but it had the timing chain slap and looks like they took the cylinder and head off of it gasket maker on top of gaskets If I could I would have gave 0 Stars and I don't really recommend buying motorcycles quads go-karts from because everything time I had to deal with them it cost me time and money now im am getting threats from this company over text and phone calls read more
