We dined at the Vue to see the yachts and perhaps, take some photos or videos... just like we did in other tourist destinations, cafes and restaurants. Hey, that could have been "FREE marketing" for them. I don't get paid for posting a review about them or uploading a video of their restaurant. Lol.
We understand there are "rules" everywhere and we truly respect that. I have "house rules", too... (No shoes inside the house)! However, the guards were also patrolling the areas where the yachts aren't docked. I'm not sure if they were expecting the customers to go there and spend only to take a photo of "the food" or "the plate"... nothing else? Lol.
I, was obviously holding a camera... and during the whole time we were seated there, one of the guards was walking back and forth the restaurant. I wasn't even sure if washing his hands was real or just part of "patrolling", too. Mind you, the washing area was just in front of us. So, you decide what his motive was. Ironically, it felt "unwelcoming" for such an open-planned restaurant.
But to be fair... food and coffee were hot and clean; served within 15 minutes just like the lady told us. Also, the same lady who took our order and served our food was attentive and polite.
