The restaurant is nice, clean, and welcoming. Service was good, though everything arrived quite slowly, especially considering it didn't seem overly busy during early dinner hours. The food overall was okay, but not particularly memorable. We tried the eggplant rollatini, lobster ravioli as an entrée, and fried calamari as an appetizer. For salads, we had the beet salad with fried cheese and the house salad that came with the ravioli. While everything was decent, none of these dishes really stood out. The pizza, however, was a highlight. We ordered the Meat Lovers, Margherita, and cheese pizzas, and all were very good. It also seemed to be the most popular choice, as many of the tables around us had ordered pizza as well. I'd likely return to give it another try, especially for the pizza. read more

10/10 - One of the Best Italian Meals I've Had in Florida I don't usually write long reviews, but Vulcanos Italian Restaurant absolutely earned it. From the moment we walked in, it felt like one of those rare local spots where everything is made with love and completely from scratch. You can taste the difference in every single bite. We started with the wedge salad, and it was perfect -- crisp, fresh, chilled lettuce with the right balance of toppings and dressing. It was way bigger than expected (portions here are no joke), but every bite had amazing flavor. It's honestly one of the best wedge salads I've had anywhere. Next, we ordered a gluten-free pizza, and I was blown away. Gluten-free pizza is usually hit or miss, but theirs tasted like real, authentic pizza with that homemade texture and flavor. The crust had that perfect balance of crispy and chewy, and you could tell it was made in-house and not something pre-packaged. Easily the best gluten-free pizza in the area -- maybe anywhere. But the star of the night was the lobster ravioli. Absolutely incredible. You can tell it's homemade the moment you cut into it. The pasta was soft and fresh, and the filling actually had real chunks of lobster instead of the usual "barely-there" filling most places give you. The sauce was rich, creamy, and absolutely addictive. If you come here, this dish is a must-try. On top of the food being amazing, the service was warm, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. You can tell the staff really cares about their customers and takes pride in what they serve. Also, the best vodka sauce I've ever had in my life, better than in Italy! Super homey ambiance! This has become my favorite Italian restaurant in the northern part of Palm Beach County. Excellent service and consistently terrific food. Located in the southernmost part of a plaza, the interior is small, but very quaint. White tablecloths are during the tables, which is a great touch. On my most recent visit, I had the chicken français which was delicious. My dining partner who always chooses chicken Parmesan stated that in his opinion "it's the best in the county ". I know this Italian bistro turned over recently and I went in with high hopes of a continuation of what had been a reliable little spot for a little mangia mangia. I ordered the chicken cacciatore. It was bland and watery. My partner had the grouper picata and was not impressed. The service was fine and the fresh bread was a highlight. Not a good sign when the bread is the highlight though. It's a little different than what you might be used to, but so much better--loved the pizza too, with fresh basil, homemade sauce, and a huge chunk of Burrata in the center. We hadn't eaten here in several years when we decided to go on the spur of the moment. Very glad we did. Although we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was very busy with many reservations, the very pleasant young lady, Linda, who we later found out was the owners' daughter, said she would try to seat us in about 15 minutes. She took my wife's cell phone number and promised to call us when a table opened up. Be cause of the cold, we were waiting in our car when the phone rang about ten minutes later. She had a cancellation and promptly seated us. Overall, the our experience was excellent. I'm giving four rather than five stars for the following reason: Service was slow. Our server, Ramone, was pleasant, but seemed a little over-worked because he was serving tables at opposite ends of the long restaurant including one large group of about 8-10 people in a private dining area; I suspect the kitchen and kitchen staff is small judging by the length of time it took for our caesar salads and entrees to be served. To be fair, the dining area was completely full. It's Season and it was a Saturday night, so I don't know if this is normal all year. They also had many carry out pizza orders they had to deal with. We shared a caesar salad. The salad was very good and the dressing tasted great. But, the dressing was a little more ample than we like. In our personal tastes, less is more. I had the veal parm with a side of pasta. The sauce was flavorful, but a little thin for my personal taste. The other suggestion I would make is they should provide steak knives when serving meat dishes that need cutting. I can remember only one or two times I was ever served veal parm that was so unbelievably tender, it could be cut with a fork. My wife's special came with lobster on top. She is a lobster lover, and would have liked a little more. The restaurant is under new ownership since we were last there. The new owners have redone the decor. It is much brighter than I remember it from before. The only mod I would suggest is the addition of a screen wall at the back of the banquet where we were seated next to the entrance. It was very cold last night, and each time the door was opened, we got a blast of cold air. A screen would also provide more privacy for that booth from the activity at the hostess station and from people entering and leaving. read more

We used to dine at this restaurant a lot because the food was delicious, the prices were fair and the service was also good. However, since new owners, all of that has changed. Not only was the food too salty, the service, poor and the prices high, my tip was changed to $25. When I reached out to the restaurant to ask why the tip had been changed from six dollars to $25. I was given some excuse about how they mixed up the check... Really? I went back to the restaurant and did get my money back. But sadly, we will not be returning. Check your credit card bill a couple days after if you do eat here. Or pay cash. Or try another Italian restaurant - there are at least 4 within a mile of this place. read more

We came in when it wasn't busy. We didn't get the bread for the table until after our appetizer came out. A while later the salads and soups came out and one person's pizza was done. The server asked if he wanted the pizza now or with everyone else's meals. Good thing he took it inmediately because everyone else's meals didn't come out for another half an hour. If you're looking for a authentic Italian dinner you have to check out Vulcano's in Tequesta. They have excellent pizza , bar pies, grandma pies snd everything in between. I went with a group of five and we all enjoyed our meals . We enjoyed the eggplant volcano's , pork chop Parmesan a calzone , stuffed artichoke and even a juicy steak. The service was excellent and the price point for the quality of the food can't be beat. I will say the ambiance leaves a lot to be desired but don't let it put you off. This food is top notch and it's very clear the chef , who actually cooks the food takes pride in his work. Ordered the Margherita with strict instructions that there to be no fresh tomatoes on the pie. When the Margherita arrived lo and behold there were fresh tomatoes on the pie. Best Italian food in Jupiter/Tequesta. My favorites include the baked ziti, pasta fagioli soup, garlic rolls (heavenly) to name a few. I happened upon the place while my fiancé was next door at a medical appointment and I was not disappointed! The pizza is also incredible! Good wines, great service and did I mention the garlic rolls??!! It is also nice inside without all the noise the chain restaurants seem to have. Our dine in experience ended as a 1.5 hour frustrated take out experience. We were headed to another restaurant when we saw this one and thought pizza sounded good. Initially we were impressed, we were seated in a private room at the back and our server, Kate was friendly, accommodating and great with our two children. This would be a 5 star review, had it not been for the long wait, messed up order and when we asked for a manager we were told the owner/chef/manager Roland refused to come to our table. We were there just over an hour and a half before our pizza was brought to the table. At that point we said we'd have to take it to go as we had to pick a friend up from the airport. The waitress apologized and told us one of their pizza ovens wasn't working. We had requested half of the pizza to not have olives but the whole pizza had olives and she said she couldn't comp the pizza. We said we just wouldn't take the pizza as only one person in our group liked olives but were told it couldn't be removed from our check. This is when I asked to speak to a manager and was told he refused to leave the kitchen. He could've smoothed this situation, but refused to be bothered and confront the customer. The owner should not be in a hospitality industry and I felt bad for our server who wanted to do something for us but didn't have the authority to do so. We Understand there are new owners, but was there a couple of weeks ago and had a pretty good meal and prices were pretty fair. Was looking forward to going back as I enjoyed the pizza as well as the other entrees. Unfortunately, that was not to be the case. One of us ordered the eggplant rolatini. Consisted of 3 good sized pieces. This was the best of the 4 choices and it was tasteless. Another had a fish special which I didn't taste but was very fishy smelling. My friend did not care for it. His wife said it was not good at all. My wife had the veal milanese. The veal was so thin, you couldn't even taste the meat. Breading was too thick and was overcooked. Tasted awful. I ordered a pizza with peppers, brocolli rabe, and sausage. You figure that had to be good. Well let me tell you, it was the worst pizza I ever tasted, and I worked in a pizzeria for 11 years. Wasn't enough sauce so it was dry. The fillings did not go to the edge of the crust, so there was way to much crust showing, which was way overcooked, hard and dry. Tasted like dust. You might think it was bad, but it wasn't even that good. I told the waitress and she said she would tell the owner. No one ever came out to apologize or offer anything. But truth be told, I was hungry and ate 3 slices before I stopped eating it. Normally I would have taken it home but I didn't think the dog would care for it either. All in all, if you are looking for not too expensive bad food that they give you a fair amount of, or if you are looking for a really bad meal, you can check out this place. That's in complete violation of his credit card agreement and makes you wonder if he's too stupid to price his product properly, where else is he cutting corners. Then he was out of his one bottle of Chardonnay on the menu and offered a substitute but failed to warn us that it was 50% higher priced. Stay away from this place that thinks ripping off his customers is the key to success. When asked about his overcharging he had an incredibly disinterested response. Small tables, booth and even a private dining room for small groups. We enjoy Vulcano's Italian food it is outstanding. We have ordered so many items all superb. I guess I shouldn't be surprised when I don't look at Yelp before I go somewhere. So taking my mom out to eat I wanted to try volcanoes because it looked like a quaint little Italian restaurant that would not be extravagantly priced. When you first walk in the front door it is very nondescript there is no entry way you kind of walk directly into the middle of the restaurant with people sitting on both sides and nobody to greet you. From there it only gets worse the tables are not comfortable the decor is old and dated and the menu is so overpriced that it would make you actually get up and walk out. So we stayed and tried a few things and I have to tell you that the food tasted okay nothing special portion sizes were nothing special but the restaurant the dacor the atmosphere does not preclude them from charging the prices that they do. There is nothing special nothing that I would go back for for sure I would never go back there again because of the prices. With all the options in Jupiter and Juno and surrounding areas for much better food higher quality product and much more comfortable atmosphere This place is seen its Better Days and I predict will fall down dead as if it were shot five times and still walking this place will be closed sooner than later the only people that go there by observation are people over 70 who have been going there forever and don't mind the same-old same-old same-old I heard someone say nothing's changed in here the walls are still the same but I guarantee you the prices have gone up and the product has gotten worse. House salad sucks. Served on a little plate lettuce falling off the plate. We had the muscles and they served us the biggest muscles I ever saw that were very tough.
