I had the worst experience ever. I will never take my car here again! They tried double-charging for a Diagnostic fee, not only that, they tried to overcharge me for one job by breaking it up into 3 parts, which I refuse to pay. Not only that, when it was finally finished, I had to return my car for incomplete work; they did not go over the car to make sure it was in the same condition as I brought it in! This was the most sloppy, unprofessional work ever imaginable! Lies and deceit, and they do it in an underhanded way. I do not recommend this place at all really, i rate it a zero. Got a vehicle as a lease, it only came with one key. Contacted the dealership to ask if this was unusual, I was told it was common with Volkswagens. Didn't think too much of it because it was a lease and I was going to only have the car temporarily. Fast forward and it's Covid. Lease ends, really need to buy the car because of the vehicle shortage. Fast forward a few years and now my key snapped off in the ignition. It's $200 for a new key and $100 to program it. I ask the cashier as I'm paying for my key if it's normal to only get one key with a Volkswagen, she says absolutely not. That should have been accounted for during the initial pick up. I tell her about my experience calling to inquire previously. She says there's nothing that can be done now. So I'm out of $300 because the dealership gave me one key, and the poor design of the key resulted in the one key I gave breaking. This is a very frustrating experience. 1) I should just be going on with my life with a backup key. 2) Research the issue and you will find that this is a very common issue with Volkswagen keys. How is this not a recall that's free? Why am I paying to replace a key that's not old enough to break? Why didn't I get two keys in the first place? Where's the closest ford dealer? read more

I came to Vyletel already knowing what the issue was on my Volkswagen. I worked specifically will Bill Dupe. They diagnose it, not telling me there's a $150 service charge that will get used when I fix the car, that's fine. I got my car back 2 days after dropping it off and came to find a chip on my hood passenger side. It's apparent this is new because it would be rusted over from a Michigan winter. I called back for 2 days straight multiple times and left multiple voice messages expressing my situation, radio silent... At this point, I thought Bill was dodging my calls and wouldn't resolve my problem. I got a third party involved and finally, Bill answered the phone telling me he could fix the chip in my hood. This is the result I have from Vyletel Volkswagen. Whatever you do, AVOID Vyletel Volkswagen. They don't care about the end product or if the customer is happy, they only care about filling their pockets. Avoid Vyletel Volkswagen. Do not take your vehicle here to get serviced!!! They ruined my car. Problem was never fixed. My car was completely dead the day I got it back!! I was charged for something that wasn't even broken. They broke my door side panels , my entire dash is loose and my driver side window is shaky now when it opens. My battery and engine parts were loose as well. They held my vehicle for a week with no option for a loner. I had to call to get updates. I was told one thing then another. They lied in their report saying I was "aware this fix was only a test and more repairs will be needed" I was NEVER made aware! This is a warning for everyone to read the description in the bill before you sign it!!! They lie and suck at their job. With us being in 2024 you would think your techs could google or YouTube car problems if you had NO IDEA WHAT WAS WRONG. The rear view mirror in my Passat fell apart . I made an appointment with Vyletel to have it replaced. Instead of talking to the parts department themselves, they connected me to the parts department. I left two messages and never heard back from the parts department. Not sure what I expected going to a German based car dealer this close to motor city. But I received the WORST service of any dealer I've ever stepped foot in. They legitimately didn't seem interested in selling me a car. Which is their loss because I was planning on buying a car the same day. The salesman quoted me 300 dollars a month for a sign and drive base model Jetta. I took my car in for a tune up and safety inspection. This was in January. This past Sunday my check brake fluid light came on. I continued on my travels planning on handling it Monday. When I took my car in for service I took it Suburban Troy. They had appointments. There it was shown to me that my rotors had rusted and my brake pads couldn't even make contact they were so worn away. I won't be returning to Vyletel. I had a stuck caliper. Not only did they charge $140.00 for a diagnosis that I already told them what was wrong, then tried to charge me $1400.00 for a heater core repair that the part is $30.00 and labor should be 3 hours tops. When I got my car back I noticed two door dings that were not there before. Terrible service and wrecked my door. I'm sure the dealer will claim ignorance to the dings and that the rate is the rate for repairs. Just find an honest service center that can park a car and open a door properly. I could have easily been a happy customer through Vyletel Volkswagen. I gave them every opportunity to do me right and provide a smooth and pleasant experience, but this is not what transpired. I was in the market for a new Volkswagen Golf R and had been in correspondence with Patrick Delaney. When the time came to talk price things turned south, very quickly. The salesman had the audacity to give me an attitude over pricing and the equivalent of a friend's and family discount. I requested he talk it over with the sales manager and had the impression it was now just a hassle for him. He made numerous snarky comments about it. I voiced my concerns over this and spoke with the manager but only got the impression that they were still trying to find an angle from which to sell me the car... still. Only after complaining to the manager did they come down to my price, but not once did Patrick email me back to apologize or show any kind of remorse whatsoever. All of this aside, they also tried to beat me down on trade-in value of my current Golf R. I received a higher trade in value from two separate other VW dealerships in the area and they were not willing to agree to that price. When buying a new vehicle you should really come away from the experience feeling as though you got everything you asked for, within reason, and that you were provided excellent customer service. I cannot say this was the case here. I was provided horrendous customer service and would have been taken advantage had I not stuck up for myself on price. I can only surmise that I was given such an attitude over this because the salesman would have stood to lose out on some commission given a lower selling price, but if that means losing a sale completely and maintaining the impression that all car salesman are scummy, then Vyletel did well to achieve this. read more

I wish that there is zero stars to rate them I went to get my 2013 Volkswagen CC key programmed it's working starting and everything but the keypad is working I asked the guy in service department what's the problem with it he said it need to be programmed looking at me with attitude saying that it will coast 75$ up front and it will may work or may not work wtf !!!! Vyletel VW is so lovely and peaceful inside. My salesman was Patrick. He walked out to greet us right away, and answered all of our questions without pushing us toward any one vehicle. We were able to sit in a bunch of cars, and test drive a beetle without him, so we could talk about what we liked and didn't like during the ride. I loved the car. Patrick was very thorough, and patiently walked us through all of the choices we had, and the amounts we would have to pay. The service center sucks @ss big time. I took my passat in for mushy brakes. Told me I had a leaking caliper. They changed it out and the next day there was absolutely no change to braking. "Oh well, yeah you have a bad master cylinder". I paid for that too...another day later and $750+... NO CHANGE!! They indicated my brakes were fine, just like brand new and that I didn't know what I was talking about. That weekend I took my car to Garfield and Canal service. They charged me $209 for a pad replace and bled my brakelines in 2hours. Stops on a dime!! A night and day difference. Never, ever go to Vyletel for service. They will steal from you. read more

So I was in the service department getting a new rim put on my car. The service writer says that I need a new tire because the one that I have leaks. I asked him how do you know it leaks? he told me he put the tire on the new rim and it was leakink. I then told him that it would be ok to get a new tire....obviously.....I paid and I told the service writer that I want the rim back so I can go and scrap it. He told me no problem and he put it in the truck for me!!!! A few days later I go to the Scrap Yard and open my trunk and sure enough the tire was still on the old rim!!!!!! HE NEVER CHECKED IT!
