THEY HAVE TABLETS YOU ORDER FROM
    Michelle W.

Holy shit. This sushi place is probably the most upscale place I've been to. It's got tablets that you can order from, and it's quick. The quality of the sushi is SUPREME. I've been told never to come during lunch time, as I went during supper. Apparently the quality tanks during lunch time. It's super expensive as well, but it's so worth the price. 12/10 would go again

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE AT W. READ MY REVIEW. DONT COME HERE! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Let's get this out of the way. The food is decent. Let's set that aside and explain why W Sushi totally sucks. My first order on the ipad went through fine. Ordered only about half the things I wanted. Things were going great and this is my first time there. I placed my second order of food and ice cream + desserts. The server with glasses came and even asked if I wanted the ice cream right away or at the end. I said yea at the end is even better. So me and my date waited and waited. We waited so long she went to the ladies room and came back with no food arriving. This is over 15 minutes past now.... The server wearing glasses brings me the bill! I was just stunned.....I told him NONE (0) of the food of the second and last order has come! So he says I will go check on it. He explains after that the computer had a error and the food will come. The female server wearing the kimono outfit brings me the debit machine to pay right after seeing the bill on my table! Remember I havent received any of my second order yet! Not ONE item. I was stunned...! So I paid and left a tip despite the horrible experience so far. I told the female server I was still waiting on my food! I wait and wait and OMG no food is coming out! I am steaming at this point. Trying to keep it civil and polite. Finally the glasses dude see's that he messed up big and gets some other server to give us some random ice cream. I eat it and leave. I will never ever ever come back to W again. Incompetent staff. Average to mediocre food. Sure this probably wont happen to you but it did to me and I want everyone to know how it could happen to you! AVOID---STAY AWAY--- 0 STARS WORST SUSHI IN GUELPH!

I came here for dinner and it was about $25 for dinner (before tips and tax). I found it expensive that's why I try to avoid all you can eat sushi. However, I was visiting my friend in Guelph and we wanted sushi so we came here. The food here is good, the service was great and the food came fast. My only complaint is that the rolls were just a tinge too big for my liking and I think the shrimp was very small in the shrimp tempura. My two friends got miso soup and it was very salty (perhaps they just messed up that one night). However, they thoroughly enjoyed the Udon. I like the dessert choices they have. I got the deep fried milk which you don't see often at ayce sushi places. The green tea ice cream was good as well (some places have really bad green tea ice cream).

We ordered takeout from the Hungry Ninja. The online order system instructs you to send a text…read moremessage with particular ordering instructions, which is fine for me as I have worked in food service before, but I can imagine that people unaccustomed to working in the food service industry could find this challenging. I received a confirmation text, and when I arrived the food was ready - earlier than scheduled even which is a bonus. We had intended to use downtown Guelph gift vouchers we recently received as a gift. As a business listed under the Downtown Guelph Business Association directory, they should be willing and able to accept them as they are valid as cash or cheques. They get deposited the same as a cheque into their bank, as it says on both the voucher AND the Downtown Guelph Business Association website. We arrived to pick up our order and were told that the owner does not want to accept these vouchers. The cashier had been told before that they are not willing to accept then. We insisted that they should take them as they are valid as cash or cheque at any downtown business, but apparently the owner does not want to deal with the hassle. The cashier phoned the owner who immediately told them "no, we won't take them" and hung up. We then offered to pay by credit card with Apple Pay since we had not brought our wallets. We were told it was an additional $2, and they don't have tap. We ended up leaving with nothing, and the food went to waste. It is hugely disappointing as someone who tries to support local businesses to be turned away because they don't want to deal with vouchers from their own local business association. It is a service offered by the community to ensure the economic stability of the downtown core, and to see it discarded by a local business is very disheartening. It is also disappointing that they would rather see food go to waste than accept a voucher. Very dissatisfied with the lack of commitment to the community and complete lack of customer service on the part of the owner.

But not only that, the service was super friendly and the decor was cute. I went around 3pm in a Friday and it was absolutely dead. But that definitely had nothing to do with it being bad food. I appreciated all of the many fish options for the bowls and all the great topping options! I will definitely go back for more poke and to try a sushi burrito! I went back a second time to try their rolls (aka sushi burritos). I tried the ninja bomb roll with ninja sauce and it was very good. They also have decent miso soup! Still have yet to disappoint

I've gotten the katsudon a couple times too, and it's a good meal. Comes with miso soup and salad. Which, the salad is basically a leaf of lettuce with a bit of odd carrot dressing. The all you can eat is as you would expect it. It's nothing to write home about. The quantity of the sushi definitely outweighs the quality, that's for sure. The interior is quite small, but it's cozy. There's a couple back areas for larger groups. I want to sit there one of these days. All in all, it's worth it's price, but make sure you go with a good group of friends to keep you entertained while you wait. It does get busy!

The restaurant itself could use a little loving, but the rest of the experience here was good. We'd come back again. We did ayce dinner on a Sunday they may have raised prices from what other reviewers said, it was $27.99/person which is also their holiday prices. I'd go back for lunch - at $14.99 you can't go wrong! One thing that I really appreciated was that they weren't stingy with flavours on portions. Check it out if you're looking for sushi in guelph!
