They won't let you cancel! I moved out of state and told them I didn't want this membership and they continue to charge me! I was on a month to month. The owner is a crook and uses a 3rd party company to charge you. This place could use a serious updating and the hours are lousy, but I love working out here! It's no nonsense. I like that there's only women, all sizes and all backgrounds and ages. It makes me feel more comfortable. The equipment is geared towards women and is more accessible than equipment I've tried to use in higher end gyms. Some of the staff is helpful and some isn't. It's easy to pick up on. They run a lot of specials and fundraisers. The classes are great and a real workout. If they had a pool and stayed open later they'd get 5 stars. read more

While I really wanted to like this place because I love the concept of a women-only gym, I just couldn't imagine myself working out here. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to any questions I had when I looked around, but I really didn't like that the fitness classes don't take place in a separate room, but right on the hardwood floor dead center in the middle of the gym. I don't know about you, but I don't want the women who are jogging along on their treadmill watching my uncoordinated self try to keep up with the Zumba instructor. I understand that the place has limited space and its great that they can even offer classes, I just don't have enough confidence to participate in those classes so everyone in the gym can watch me. This gym is my savior!!! I can't believe women prefer X-Sport to here! I think too many mega gyms let you get lost in the crowd of sweaty athletes.I love the small gym aspect here where everyone knows who you are and actually greets you as an individual. I've made so many friends here who totally care about my progress as I do them. I also absolutely love the functional trainers and Turbo Kick teachers. They've been so great with positive motivation helping me get my butt back into shape. Plus, they make working out fun and they,like the other staff,really remember you as you,your strengths and weaknesses! And.. They nixed the sign ups for machines awhile back so disregard that review on here! The ONLY thing I don't love about this place is the hours, they're hard to work around as a working mom, I have to say. I can't believe women actually take a shower in this Berwyn location! There was hair and I mean gobs of it all over the floor of the shower and smells and has mildew everywhere!! The machines and equipment are very old and looks like they never clean them as well with all the dirt you can see on them. I would not spend any money for a membership at this place. I've only come here for the Zumba; and Zumba here equals Cumbia, Bachata, Salsa, Merengue, Reggaeton with a seldom touch of Bollywood!...I get to dance to some of my favorite songs from these genre's. Who would have thought I would be zumba'ing to Payaso de Rodeo?! Very unexpected, since I only hear this song at XVra's and wedding parties but pleasantly surprised I got to dance this. They need to fix the treadmills or get new ones!! Most of them don't really work when you are walking they're ok but if you start running minutes later it stops you can have an accident right there. I love biking, you also need to get new bikes, on the back days they used to have pretty good clases, the clases in the morning are good you should put those clases in the afternoon too! read more

This one is tough. When you review a business, it's supposed to represent your feelings about your overall experience. Sometimes it's not the business's fault that your experience isn't the best, but in this case, while this less than stellar review is not brought on by the staff, it is still an issue with the club itself. The staff is fine. Friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I've had more problems with members at this location than at any gym location I've ever been to. Granted, I've been a member of WWW for 9 years so it's been a while since I've been anywhere other than one of a handful of W3s that I frequent, but that's beside the point. The gym is small, and therefore has a sign-up policy for the machines. I'm totally fine with this. Once I was on a machine that I thought I had signed up for, and a young woman stopped me to tell me it was her turn. I explained to her that I had signed it out. She said this wasn't the case. I got off, checked the list....Whoops! I signed up for the one next to it. No biggy. I apologized and turned over the machine to her. It happens several times a week when I have to inform someone that they are on the machine that I am signed up for. I expect to get a pleasant, "sure; here you go". Sadly, I only get this about half the time. The rest of the time it ends up in a fight because many of the members don't believe in accountability. And I nearly flipped my lid when I politely asked a woman to clean up the machine that I was about to use, that she just dripped sweat all over, and she copped a tude. If I could afford to go elsewhere, I would. I think my love affair with WWW has finally come to an end. Now I'm just stuck in a loveless marriage. :( read more

I have about 4 months left on my membership and wish it were sooner so that I can join xsport. WWW is a great starter gym but once you become comfortable in that type of setting, this chain becomes antiquated. I came as a guest a year ago didn't like the "estrogen" smell to the facility. Wanted to give them another try and made an appt to get info and start at least a 3 day free trial. Since I'm currently pregnant I wanted something just for month to month kind of of plan and they didn't have that "for me". I walked out of here with No 3 day trial and no member ship. Save your money and join either Xsport or Ballys. The hours suck here, especially on the weekends. Because there are only a few cardio machines, you only get 30 minutes on it. And if you miss your sign up time, someone else grabs it. The staff isn't too friendly either. The only nice thing about the gym are the classes. But honestly, you're better off going to a larger gym and spending the extra $10. At least, you can spend as long as much time as you want on a treadmill. read more

I've been a member since early fall of 2015. Some outdated equipment, very clean gym, parking, helpful/friendly staff, and dedicated women working out beside you. I rather go out of my way to workout at this location bc the atmosphere of this location is rewarding. The dedication I see in most of these girls is overpowering and motivates me to do the same. I've been coming to W3 for about a month and I'm getting out of it what I intended and then some. I was a member many years ago and joined other gyms and I'm back. The trainers (functional and classes) really push you to your limits which is something I need in this area of my life. I signed up for the functional training classes ( 6 months) and it is designed for people like me (I get bored with routine.) I anticipate results, strength, not necessarily weight loss but it is a plus. I know I need muscle to lose fat, so, I'm on the right track. I made a great decision. read more

I have been a member for many years. I find this club going down hill from the way it used to be run. The bathrooms a filthy. Garbage cans over flowing with toilet paper that are used to wipe themselves put in the can instead of flushing it. If the cans can not be properly emptied get BIGGER CANS. There is a bathroom that is locked. We need to get a key to use it. Then return the key. Might as well go into the locker room to use those facilities. The walk is the same. It seems the employees would rather use a clean bathroom. Well maybe if the use the other one they would make sure it was clean. Most of the employees are very nice, the manager is not. There are rules to be followed. Bring in clean shoes and no personal items on the floor. Well they have a basket on the reception desk for women to but their car keys in. They do not have clean shoes or they would get a locker. Many women bring bags and cats on the workout floor. Know one says anything. But as soon a a senior Who has been a member since the club opened years ago has trouble scanning her membership card every time she came in the would chase her down and have her do it again. THEY KNOW HER. It seems if you are a certain nationality you can get away with doing what ever you want. They also have it way too hot in the club. In the summer they open the front vdoor and let in the heat and humidity. They have no clue. I think the assistant manager should be manager and the manager should find a new job. Patricia read more

Please don't bother wasting your time or especially your money here, this place was never the same again since around like I want to say 2006, from there on out things changed for the worse, management changed and so did staff, and they just brought in theifs instead, my wife and her mother and sister's, used to go there, after things changed things got bad there my wife got her stuff stolen from her locker including her phone and clothes, and when they told the staff and management they did nothing about it. This place used to be careful and picky who they let in to join but sadly they didn't anymore. My mother in law used to also take her two little children with her to drop them off at the day care while she would work out, and her little daughter told her mother that one of the day care staff had hit her brother, we are still to this day outraged because they never did anything, we should of file a law suite against the company. This is a great club for a great price. The functional fitness classes taught by Toy and Juiana--small group personal training--are no joke, very intense. The other classes look pretty hard, too. They make it nearly impossible to cancel membership even if you are on a month to month agreement. I called then visited the site and i was told that i had to speak to a specific person - manager - to cancel my membership based on her limited appointment schedule. I think they should spend their efforts on attracting new member that actually want to join instead of making it difficult for existing members to cancel. The location also offers daycare but it is a hit or miss service. Many times when you actually need the daycare they have an excuse as to why its not going to be available. If daycare is important to you find out on which holidays the daycare is actually provided and on which weekend days and hours it is available. read more

And if you have kids you have to pay $20 to register for child care and call one hour in advance to let them know that you are taking your child. I like xsport better were you just show up and pay $1 an hour for your kids to be at the care center and you can see them on the TV. Yes, the membership fee is low and the staff is friendly. But that's about all this place has going for it. I attended for about a year and regularly had such a negative experience with the clientele that I was completely turned off. The "small gym" atmosphere mentioned in another review is non-existent. Unless if you like getting dirty looks and blank stares from people who clearly believe you don't belong there. In that case, enjoy. You have classes, equipment, and awesome service here for a really low price! It's all women, there's a friendly environment, the instructors are also great. Classes are fun and motivating. I recently visited this berwyn club and did not have a good experience. i went it in the afternoon and all the front desk employees have a bad attitude when asking for help or when asking a simple question. you do not feel a happy atmosphere when walking in. I tried telling the manager about my problems and about her employees but she just seems to "care" but apparently brushes it off because those girls keep acting as if they own the place. not recommended, atleast not this location. read more

I wouldn't recommend this location for more than a couple of reasons. Every time I visit the club after work, the machines are all taken! I also hate the fact that I need to sign in for the machines, no one respects the times! I agree with the rest of the women that say the manager is bad! The work I've seen her do is on her cell phone, talking with staff in the service counter or offices. And I'm sorry I'm the only one with guts to say this but her classes suck! I've tried to get a hold of her by calling the club to explain my issues and she's never to be found. Once I called and they told me she'd be in to work in 30 min. and an hour later I called and she was still not there! I don't know if she avoids member's calls or if she's really never at work! I've been working out for years and know the hard work and dedication it consist of. I've never been part of a gym though that thinks other wise! A GYM! I was a member of w3 in Berwyn for a couple of years til this year. The staff is rude and not knowledgeable in the field they work in. Most of the Staff is rude and they seem unhappy when confronted with concerns or just in general.I feel like they are more worried about members bringing extra gym shoes to change at the door, foolish, than helping members achieve their goals. If the staff was the only problem so be it, but when machines aren't working for weeks at a time that's just recipe for disaster. Bad enough members have to sign up for machines like five year olds. Well there's not enough machines to sign up for!!! it's a shame to know places like this exist still. A gym should be a place where people are welcomed by a staff that will help them achieve goals with equipment that's functional and SAFE! Not so much can be said from this location! It's terrible. There is no possible way to cancel a contract. And even when your contract ends, you get "roll over months" in which they automatically charge you for every month AFTER your contract expires. I find this very pointless because there's a reason contracts expire. I am definitely not a fan of this place and I regret coming here. read more

There lucky I'm giving them a star they don't deserve it! Their service stinks babysitting is always full and they don't even watch the kids well enough. They couldn't cancel my membership at the gym only customer service could do it and they wanted $150 to cancel my membership that's just a rip off so I couldn't cancel I had to stay on my membership being charged $19 a month knowing I wasn't going to make it they still charged me then my month is up and still getting charged then they tell me I have to go in to cancel I finally went in and complained of course it's not their fault they can't refund my money but its canceled now yea after they took my money that place is horrible I wouldn't recommend to anyone read more

I honestly want to like this gym because it would be very convenient for me to go here but there have been a few setbacks. I went in about 2 month ago to ask about getting a membership with the manager and was given a couple of options. I'm very tight on money so getting a good rate is important. I was very disappointed in the fact that you have to sign up for at least a year membership. I need a month to month membership in case I am no longer able to afford it. After talking to the manager about my situation she offered me a decent rate. I asked if I could have a day or two to think about it and her reply was she could not guarantee me the rate if I came back the next day. I felt like this was poor salesmanship to make someone feel forced into a membership they are unsure of because they are unwilling to give the person a day to think about it. Last week a friend of mine, who is a member, convinced me to go to the gym with her. I decided to give the gym a try to see how I like it. Before my work out I spoke with the gym manager and we talked rates again. We saw a sign posted about a guest special and we inquired about it. They said they were no longer having that promo. They should remove the signage if the promo has been over for a long time. After my work out the manager approached me. Again I asked her to give me a day to think about it but her reply was the same, she couldn't guarantee me the rate the next day. So after thinking about it for a few days I've decided to go with the New Charter Fitness that is opening up. Not only is the gym way bigger but the rate is less than half the price of Womens Workout World. read more
