They offer an early bird special for $39 for an hour and I did the combination massage. They also gave me a stamp card after 10 visits you get a free session. Took my mom here for her birthday and we both loved it! Clean and relaxing atmosphere. Ann did my massage, she's great at deep tissue massages, although there were a couple times I had to flinch a little... But is was a "good pain" ;) However, there is a lack of privacy, but it didn't bother me much since there were only 3 ladies in the place. It may have been a little awkward if a guy were there. This place is right near my home and I was happy to get in late on a Saturday night. The front desk was kind and polite, and I liked the dolls to pin point areas that need more attention. My "therapist" was Jason, and while it sure felt like he wasn't actually trained as s therapist, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt. That doubt was erased the next morning when I woke up to a large blue bruise on my sacrum where he kept pressing repeatedly with his elbow, very hard. The rest of my back was unbruised, but not happy either. Two days later and I'm still stiff. He was rough in a bad way, and I just wouldn't recommend him. After this experience, I won't go back as I don't know if I'll get an actual trained therapist, but with this kind of QC, I wouldn't expect to. read more

I have been going to Wadee Spa almost since they first opened, and if I could give it a 12-star rating, I would. Every therapist (at any spa) has his/her own style and technique, so you need to find the therapist whose technique best suits your needs. When booking, tell them what your needs are; they will try to find the best match for you. Starting with someone new can be challenging, especially when different languages create communication problems, but I have never had an issue with this. I am clear about my needs and will interrupt if necessary to clarify those needs. Massage therapy is a personal thing and the therapists are not mind readers! I have never had a bad experience at Wadee. I ALWAYS feel better after my hour there, knots worked out, muscles stretched and soothed. I sleep like a baby afterward. Best hour of the month, plus you cannot beat the price--incredible value. If it wasn't exactly what you wanted, try another therapist next time. You could go to the most expensive place in town and still experience some of the issues people have complained about here. People posting complaints ought to consider all the factors before making public statements that could damage a small business. Maybe you are putting out a bad vibe. If this place was not as terrific as they are, I wouldn't be such a regular client. I go at least once a month and look forward to it. I highly recommend it. read more

Me and my mom were in LA for the weekend and made last minute appointments with Wadee and they were so accommodating. We got rooms together and at the time we needed. This spa only accepts cash and when we went to use the ATM we had some trouble since we were from another state. This delayed the start of our massages but they did not take it out of our time, we were still massaged for a full 2 hours. Amazing! One of our best massages ever and such a reasonable price. We had Paula and Sarah as our therapists. If we are ever in LA again we will be returning! read more

I really love this place! Today was my second time at Wadee, and the experience was just as wonderful as the first.

I've gotten two massages here and my mother has gotten one. Absolutely wonderful massages. I prefer Swedish technique so I can't comment on anything outside of that. The building is clean and reasonably spacious. Parking's not too difficult to find although it's mostly street parking around there. One downside - they use curtains to separate the rooms so you can hear EVERYTHING going on outside your little room. It can take away from the experience. That said, it's reasonably priced and the massages are great, so it's not too big of a drawback. read more

Decided to try this place because they were offering a 60-minute Massage for $39 for 1st-time customers deal. Very impressed! Having tried MANY low-end massage places (and ok, a few high-end ones too) I found this one delightfully in the middle. Much nicer than it's pricing would suggest. The massage rooms are divided by curtains, like in most thai massage places I've been, except here my room had a table in it instead of a mat. Not sure if they offer a mat option if you are getting thai massage as my massage of choice on this first visit was deep tissue. My masseuse was very professional and VERY strong. Parking in the neighborhood is easy during the day, plus there's lots of meters on Fairfax. I will definitely be back. read more

This place could look ghetto from the outside. I was very skeptical at first, but hey, $39/hr massage, why not try it? So here's the deal: Its $39/hr thai/swedish/combination massage for FIRST TIME clients and that is CASH price. Add $2 for credit cards. Its $50/hr thai/swedish/combination but they give you a stamp card which you get each stamp after your massage, and once you have 10 stamps, you get one massage for free. The parking is tricky since they don't have an assigned parking lot for guests. Anyone who wants to relax and just chill, I recommend you going about 10 minutes earlier to find parking cause Fairfax is a busy street and most likely, you will be annoyed if you cannot find parking and miss your appointment for your massage. The receptionist is not at the front at all times, and the doors are always locked. So you have to call them to get in. I am guessing this is for safety purposes? This place doesn't scream fancy, but it's not so bad either. Inside the massage room, there is about 10% privacy since they have very sheer curtains for each massage table. I find that quite uncomfortable, but I like my masseuse, plus I go in the morning when there are no people, so I don't mind it. I've been getting massages from Nara, she aims exactly where I need help. Whether its a stiff neck, or sore calves, I tell her, and BOOM, problem solved. One thing I have noticed is that the masseuse here seem a little bit rushed; I am assuming that they have their routine of massages that they have to finish within an hour- but I don't like the idea of lack of calmness. The music is also very loud- the speakers sound like they are going to blow up due to loud music. The first time I went, I had to ask my masseuse to lower the volume cause it was giving me a headache. Everyone is very nice, its rather clean, the massage is good.. However if you're looking for a "spa day," I would go to a European Spa rather than a Thai Massage Parlor. Basically, the only thing I really like about Wadee Spa is my masseuse. So I will keep going there even if their facilities need a bit of work. read more

The worst massage ever. We were not happy at all. we had a couples massage and we had one good masseuse and one bad masseuse and they switched on us in the middle of the massage without asking our opinion or our permission, because my husband was asking for deep tissue massage and she couldn't handle it. When they switched I immidiatly felt it because the first feeling of her hands were like electricity comes through your body, her hands were tense, stiff and shaking.The masseuse did not know what she was doing in anyway she performed. We told all about our today's experience to the reception guy, he desided to talk to the manager and offered 5 $ off, but since it was not about the money we payed in full and left tips for both of them and we said that we are ok to pay but we will never come back. The reception guy said ok he is fine with that. So thank you for the service guys- as we promised - will never come back. And by the way, to let people through the back door is very unprofessional for a spa place. read more

I went with my husband, and we decided to have the curtains between our tables left open. He had the Thai massage which was very different from mine, but he loved it too. This is not the best massage place to go to I walked in yesterday for the deep tissue massage due to stiffness in my back... the 65+ year old Asian lady did not do her job right 50 Mins into the massage I realized there was no hot towels or hot stones also she only used her elbow which I didn't like very much I asked her if she can use the hands she did so but her nails were long and scratching my back every 30 seconds. And it all came together no hot towels no hot stones the rest of my body was still not massaged I only have 10 Mins left of my time!! I decided to quit the massage and go figure out something with the manager she said I know you are not satasfied with our service here is 7 dollars back LMAOOOO I WAS IN SHOCK I told her that I really don't want the money back as much as I want a good massage with a good service. My search for the perfect massage spa is over. I saw Lily for a deep tissue combo massage and I felt TRANSFORMED. I love a really firm, deep tissue massage and she hit all the pressure points. I was especially sore from a tough workout and the second-day soreness was really setting in. She covered it all. I am going to try to make this a monthly visit because I walked out feeling like I was on cloud 9. I LOVE this place! I have been to a lot of massage places and the biggest problem I find is they are in-consistent. I have been going here bi-weekly since they opened, and every time is perfect. The owner is very friendly, and she even warms up the bed for me before I come in - since she knows I am always freezing! I prefer deep tissue / strong massage - her massage technique is very specific, zeroing in on problem areas with just the right pressure.
