I got a 1 hour combo massage, that hurt quite a bit for medium pressure. I asked for my knots to be worked on, but there was none of that, just a bunch of elbows and pressing. The price was $65, BUT you are apparently REQUIRED to pay a MINIMUM of a $20 tip (30%), as your masseuse hovers at the register watching you pay it. I requested to tip a certain amount, but was told by the receptionist that I needed to follow the tip guide. This should have been discussed over the phone, or at least upon arrival. Additionally, you can hear everyone talking in the corridor, despite the spa music. Less than relaxing experience while also being hustled. Dang!! Todays massage took me to different worlds! My therapist, Joe, was so talented! I told him where my aches and pains were and he expertly worked on them. There were moments when the stretching and the pressure felt so good that I wanted time to just stop. I highly recommend Joe. Parking is a little confusing because it says "30 minute limit" the receptionist went outside with me to check that I was in a good spot. Already good vibes. Massage was fine. But afterwards had a 10+ minute conversation where she was trying to get me to change my tip because it was not within the tip guidelines she showed me of $20-$30 for a $67 massage? I'm not from the USA and had no idea you are even supposed to tip for a massage. Which, what? I am paying for a service. Why do I then need to put a huge tip amount for the service? This person is seeing a lot of this $67 for one hours work. I found this through my workout class app classpass and don't pay a tip on a workout class, which is a service. And it's not like I'm paying for food or paying for an uber and then put a service fee on top of that? But the woman started saying she works hard and if it was a good massage she deserved a good tip. Saying that because I gave her a 15% tip it meant her service was bad but she had been doing this for 15 years bla bla. Charge more for your massage if you are expecting people to pay more. So they can actually be aware of how much they will have to pay... I am now SO stressed ((after a massage??)). Makes it pretty redundant and a waste of money, doesn't it. It was actually terrible service all this considering. I have NEVER heard of someone trying to make you tip more after you've tipped. And 15%-25% is the standard tipping. I tried to understand - people seriously pay nearly a 50% tip? Surely not? She started talking to her co-worker in another language and was obviously bitching about my 15% tip instead of the 50% she wanted... I tried to explain that I had not budgeted for a tip, let alone a huge tip and she just continued the cycle of "but this is how much is recommended, do you want to change your tip?" And then I'd say but I don't have to pay anything and she would say no you don't it's just a guideline but then kept asking me to tip her more. Then I was waiting for my uber inside and she was blaming me for making her late to her next client because I was supposed to leave. I've just spent a lot of money, I can't wait for my uber inside? I have been going here once a month for the past year. Today I was officially kicked out LOL I had a 30 minute body scrub and a 90 minute massage. It was good but not the best. The pressure was too hard. Felt like she was massaging my bones. I kept saying a little later. Please don't massage my ears with my piercings. After the massage: apparently They have a new sign posted stating a two hour service you must tip $50 or more. Well, I wasn't interested in Tipping $50 or more. I did tip $15.00. Obviously that was not to his satisfaction. He brought the sign to me and My friend saying " for a 2 hr tip it's $50 or more". My friend tipped the same. He told us this will be the last time we do service for you. I was shocked. I don't think people should have to tip $50 or more. Gosh can I have my $15.00 back? it seems like this is a mandatory requirement for a two hour service now. I found his comment to be very unprofessional . I don't even know why I bother splurging $125+ on one-hour massages when a Thai massage (if you find the right place), always feels SO much more effective: be it relaxing or therapeutic. And just so much cheaper. Trying to resume post-Covid routine massages and after a good experience at the Weho location, gave this one a shot. It's kind of hard to find but once you turn into the small entry road, there's ample parking just outside of the facility. Whereas Weho charges $59/hr, here it is $58 if you pay cash But what's evident in both locations is a 60min combo massage, is so incredible and an absolute steal, so of course tip generously (they also provide guides to encourage the above 20% formula you would typically apply...i.e. $15+ encouraged for an hour service, which when you think about it, is absolutely reasonable). Small, tight quarters but definitely does the trick when you want a quick fix. read more

Booking is easy with the first visit a late night accommodation and the second visit took advantage of the $40 early bird weekday special. Sparadise is a cozy sanctuary on the bustling La Brea Avenue, with a parking lot in back. Look quick, because it's easy to miss. The front reception is very friendly and will ask you pressure preferences before he takes you in. In back, I am loving the serene sitting room with the fountain, the rooms themselves have terrycloth tables and blue lights underneath them. Everything is immaculately clean as well. I felt comfortable immediately both times! I have to recommend Arthur who asked me where the problem areas were and delivered a medium to firm massage even if he is famous for deep tissue (so I'm told ha)! After the session, you're treated to water and candies up front as you fill the tip envelope. I will definitely be back and checking their website for specials! read more

I set up an appointment with about less than 1 hour notice and they were able to accommodate. I got a female masseuse and she found my tight muscles on my shoulders and upper back. I do prefer the thai massage with the feet with tension from the masseuse hanging on fabric from the ceiling as they apply more pressure. LOL. This place was quiet during my massage session. I truly enjoyed this location. We usually go to the sherman oaks/studio city location but they were booked up for the day. This location accommodates last minute appointment. We were in need of a hour massage and didn't want to go to the West Hollywood location because they're very rude at that location. The massage rooms are very clean and smell very fresh. The waiting area is the most peaceful area I've seen at any spa/massage location. The next time I go I will upload a photo to put with this review. I've been coming here at almost 2 months after rotator cuff repair surgery. I tried to get here as often as I could. It has been since February that I started to come here. I am currently doing physical therapy twice at the center and twice in the pool per week. The shoulder is stiff, and PT was really hurting me, so I seek help. Tony is a wonderful masseuse. He was able to take the pain and the body stress away. I sleep better every time I come here. He uses hot stone, and I tried cupping. Both a procedure that Tony is good at. He is also very creative and intuitive. He responded to my pain and stiffness and helped relieve my discomfort. It was a great complimentary to any physical therapy, I think. He was careful working on my post surgery shoulder. Tony cares a lot. He was able to melt away the stress in my muscle with out hurting me. I also love the stretching as he massages along the stretching. Really relaxed me. I totally recommend this place. I've been coming here for a while now, and I'm loving it. My husband just paid for a 60 minute massage but only received a 41 minute session. We used to come to Sparadise very often, but over the years just like all other industries the service and quality have diminished My husband just got home frustrated and said that the massage was not even good. That the massage therapist squirted oil or lotion directly on his body in heavy squirts, non-therapeutic at all. That the pressure was light and almost finger scratching like. Or like gently running your fingertips and nails along the body without any pressure or technique. He is not the type to complain, and didn't let the front desk know. Because in his experience, even when you let the front desk know that you were not completely satisfied in that moment, they will feel defensive and not take your complain serious. Please avoid this place at all costs. I'd really hate for any of you to get injured. Pretty sure you're not supposed to press so hard on someone's eyeballs to the point where you feel like your eyes are being gouged out. Also pressing so hard on the temples where an artery could have been burst. Both of my arms were also stretched so far back that a muscle was pulled in my chest and that took 3 weeks to heal. I've had plenty of deep tissue massages in my life and I have never gotten injured and my body treated like garbage. We weren't even given waivers to sign or anything before this massage. I've been here several times over the past few years, but my recent experience wasn't great. My initial appointment got rescheduled a couple times due to a mistake by the masseuse. This was a little annoying, but she was nice and patient during the massage. However, her hands were rough, which made me a bit uncomfortable since I have sensitive skin. What was also frustrating was that she wouldn't allow me to pay with Venmo for some reason. I've been paying that way since I started going to this spa because they offer a discount with that method of payment. Plus, the receptionist told me that I could still pay that way when I made the appointment. But for some reason, she wouldn't allow me to. I still tipped 20% despite everything and she seemed dissatisfied with that. I was very courteous even with all of the inconveniences so I really didn't appreciate the entitled attitude.
