Fun dessert to hang out with a parking lot. Cute compact place on eat street close to uptown at the intersection of 28th and Lyndale. There is street parking, but this short strip shared with Subway has a dedicated parking lot! A few tables inside to sit, but not really meant to be an extended stay; will get to that later. This establishment serves creations in a delicious waffle "cone". The cone is soft and not crispy compared to a standard ice cream place. I do wish it had a crispier texture on the outside and it felt a bit dense/ doughy for my preference. The wrapper has tear points so you can get down to eating the rest of the waffle if you desire. Salty Unicorn: Cotton candy Ice cream with whip cream, sprinkles, and a fun sour gummy. It's a kid's dream and felt nostalgic eating it; like going to the state fair with your parents. The place is more catered to grab and go, we stayed behind to chat and the cleaning chemicals in the air gave my eyes a discomfort from being there. Otherwise it's a nice rotation to desserts along the eat street.

Cute location and super friendly staff! They weren't busy but service was great! Got the cookieapolis waffle as needed a chocolate fix!! This was good - I do wish they would add more toppings because there is a lot of waffle left over Also got a drink- the strawberry lychee pea flower combo! It is a very pretty drink but too overpowering with the pea flower part so would skip that next time

Waffle Bar is a great for Summer snack or refreshing drinks in the Uptown area. It's located on corner of a small parking lot however they plenty of my side street parking. Great spot for families, friends, solo outing or date. Ambiance 5/5 Quaint space with White, Pink and Brand mascot lining the wall. Very Instagram worthy décor with a small outdoor patio seating, 2 high top tables and 4 seaters for groups. Service 5/5 People are always friendly and prompt with serving you. They provide great recommendations and selections. Price 5/5 Waffle Bar serves everything from specialty Bubble waffles, milk teas, and Ice Cream. Prices are pretty reasonable. Our family's ordered: Chili Mango smoothie $6 Taro and Strawberry, Kiwi Smoothie 6.25 with gummy bears. Pomegranate Smoothie 6.25 Overall 5/5 Lots of variety, great service, and location.

Photogenic Waffles [Minneapolis MN] While driving through Downtown Minneapolis we spotted this dessert place and pulled up in a small private parking lot. The interior is not very big with a few table seating. We ordered a Banana Cream Waffle, a Strawberry Whip Waffle (two separate because they didn't have a dessert that had both the strawberry and banana in one), we also got a PB Love Signature Bubble Waffle. We shared the desserts so we can have a little bit of everything. Delicious treats! I tried their specialty drink the Butterfly Lemonade (lemonade pea tea and lemon slice) simple yet refreshing! It came in a souvenir glass jar w/ twist top. The two gals behind the counter were quick and before we can say "waffles" our desserts were ready! Friendly and fast service! If you're looking for a sweetness overload you gotta check out waffle bar. It's not far from the chain of lakes in Mpls and was the perfect summer treat! My favorite is the mango sorbet with the mango popping boba. The shop is a lot smaller than used to be but still offering the same great puffy pillowy waffles sprinkled with powdered sugar and fun toppings!

They had a few people ahead of us when we got here but they were very nice and told us right away it would be a bit. The place is small but clean and welcoming. The size is reasonable priced for the cities. Just had got ice cream (strawberry dream) and it was very good!

I was craving something sweet and decided to head on over to the Waffle Bar! They had a large menu with sweet and savory waffles, ice cream, and boba teas. After much deliberation I decided to order the Cookieapolis but with vanilla ice cream instead of chocolate. Everything on their menu is super customizable, or you can create your own waffle from scratch. My version of the Cookieapolis was absolutely delicious. Sprinkles, caramel, cookies, and vanilla ice cream all wrapped in a warm waffle. I loved the warm waffle with the coldness of the ice cream. The waffle was perfectly cooked and the service was great. They have a cute wall perfect for taking pictures too!

Even tho it's getting cold this little spot it a sweet little place to go for a treat.. I've never been, but it was well worth it.. When we walked in, the customer service was very nice. They had music playing in the back, which was very upbeat. We advised her it was my first time there.. She was very nice and patient with me. I ended up getting an oreo shack, which was very nice. I loooove me some bubble waffles!! The bubble waffles were the perfect ratio of crispy to soft. Plus the portion sizes were great and filling! Definitely a delicious dessert spot to try. They have a bunch of cool combos to pick from such as, Strawberry Dream, Cookieapolis, Chicken and Waffles, etc.! So if you're looking for something sweet or savory, they will have it. I didn't get any of their boba drinks, but they were super expensive. $9 for a butterfly pea speciality drink... omg. A good side note is that they have color changing spoons (super cool)!

Holy crap! As soon as you take one look at the photos and reviews for this waffle bar you will be getting in your car at 10 PM to go. At least that's what I did, and boy am I glad I did. We arrived around 830 during the week and there was no one in line before us. The colorful walls and delicious looking photos reassured us that we were in the right place. After carefully looking over the waffle cones, regular waffles, shakes, teas, I knew I had to get the peanut butter lover waffle. I can't remember the exact name but that's what they should call it. I would like to say that this dessert is shareable, because you get a lot of food... But I can't possibly imagine actually sharing this with someone as it got a little messy. I would highly recommend the one that I got, especially if you love peanut butter and chocolate. However; I am super interested in trying something else on the menu next time I return. I will definitely be revisiting this location again soon, I would highly recommend that you check it out if you were in the area. I don't think there's anything you could get that would be bad!

Disclaimer: I just got ice cream, not the fancy stuff, it was gross. There was freezer burn or something going on with the cookies and cream, and it was a huge bummer. My kid got the nutella/banana ice cream thing in a waffle. That looked good, bananas were fresh, I tried it wasn't blown away though, hard to manage. There was no place to sit, the garbage cans outside were overflowing, so it just didn't seem like a prime time to be there.

Went to this place after some research. This was my first bubble waffle and it was something else. I ordered the savory with bacon. Words cannot explain how freaking delicious this was. So much bacon. That waffle was super light and so flavorful. Best lunch ever. read more

I am in love !!! The eye candy waffle was incredible! It came with rock candy, gummy bears and a huge cotton candy all covered in glitter! There is a little place outside you can eat too :). The staff is friendly and the decor is very pretty. We will be back for sure. read more

Dope af dessert spot! Love the concept, it's very unique and I don't know of another quite like it in the Twin Cities. Basically is a giant freshly baked waffle covered in various toppings/ice cream. The waffle itself is perfectly cooked, crispy, and delicious. I got the s'mores waffle, and let me tell you I thoroughly enjoyed this joint. Scoop of chocolate ice cream studded with m&ms (and they were clearly placed by hand in neat rows). Then a few pieces of graham crackers, sprinkled with chocolate sauce. And to top it off, 3 marshmallows roasted to perfection on a stick. The attention to detail is dope, and it all worked perfectly together! I loved it. It is massive though, like I probs shouldn't have had dinner before because I was hella full after this. But 100% worth it, ya boy will be going back read more

My husband and I got Waffle Bar during their first week open, so things might have changed, but TBH - not blown away. The waffle was great, and the ice cream too - but they don't make their own ice cream and with Milkjam across the street I think this is a BIG oversight. I ordered the PB waffle and they we're out of 50% of the ingredients (including the PB ice cream). Husband got the Cookie one and was very pleased! I can't see going out of my way to try them again - but I wouldn't say no to that bubble waffle. read more

Stopped here on a whim one night after realizing where it was- down off LynLake next to the Subway where that coffee place used to be. Its a tiny parking lot off a one-way street so you have to be wary of that when getting there. I got a waffle with mango sorbet, coconut and mochi bits. It was very refreshing and a good flavor combination. My favorite thing was the color changing spoon... the space is small and pretty blank. There are a few tables and not much for decoration but I think they make up for it in concept. I'll definitely return with friends in the future to try other ice cream options and beverages! read more

When I went on a trip to LA and had a delicious HK waffle with ice cream I thought " what the hell Minnesota we need a place like this!" Finally my dreams have come true! Walking in we were greeted by 2 energetic girls. I ordered the "Eye candy" and my husband got the cookieapolis. Both were tasty my only complaint is the waffle just wasn't crispy enough on the outside and it got soggy way too fast. I can't wait to go back and try more! read more

Came here on a Monday night around 10:30. They have lots of different topping options for the waffle, as well as shakes and smoothies if you're not feeling like going over the top! They make the cotton candy to order and it is massive. I ordered the Eye Candy, which comes with cotton candy and rock candy, and it was sweet (in the best way). The ice cream and all the toppings were great, and the waffle was pretty solid too. The service is also outstanding! They let me pick the colors of my rock candy and cotton candy. I like waffles a lot but this was really hard to eat the way it is served. I think the place is seriously meant for people to order, take a picture of it, then throw it away. I might go back only because there aren't a lot of places you can grab a waffle to go. As far as quality goes, it lacked flavor. It is one step above an eggo waffle. The parking is easy. read more

its a fun and different place for sure, the candy ice cream is unbelievably goood, the coco mango was good too, not very sweet considering it was a mango sorbet with vegan waffle (warm and crunchy), i just think they should have a build your own option and more variety of ice cream flavors, i didnt try this time but they do have a good selections of bubble drinks and teas, will be back for that next time. read more

They have reinvented the waffle cone. It's perfect for just eating or ripping pieces off to scoop ice cream without ruining the integrity of the cone. Went with the ICE ICE BACON, salted caramel with bacon and was really good. But this is definitely a place to treat yourself every now and then because almost $10 is over priced for me read more

Love this place! Such an Instagram place though. The portions are out of control. One regular waffle thing would definitely settle the sweet tooth of 2 or in my case, 4 people. It is so so so yummy though! Main complaint is the plastic straws used in the bubble tea and smoothies. Many stores use compostable straws, which are much better for the environment. But overall, yum yum yum! Would highly recommend the cookieopalis waffle if you are looking for something chocolately and delicious! read more

As an experience it was the full spectrum. They thought of cool details like heat sensitive spoons that changed color, cool unique shaped waffles and all the types of toppings that bring out the kid in all of us. Totally get a 5. On the other end, we parked in their lot and the guy from subway came out and told us we couldn't park there. Granted he probably thought we were headed the opposite way bc our dogs had to do their business. Then my husband had to do his and they told him it was for guests only. Ok note to self don't go before eating ice cream. Finally ordered and it took forever because their service model is way too complex and they didn't have enough staff to support it... from fire roasting marshmallows to freshly made cotton candy. The garbage cans were overflowing and there were empty tables w no chairs. Giving them a 2 for this end of the spectrum of experience. Maybe knocking it to a 1 because our daughter's ice cream waffle came out when we were almost done w ours! Ice cream flavors were nothing to write home about. They had chocolate and vanilla and neither were decadent to die for. If flavors are your thing millkjam across the street is a gazillion times more creative and better. If it's toppings and waffles that is your thing this is the place for you. Ice cream I'd give them a 2 as most twin cities ice cream stores are better. Waffles I'd give them a 5 because they were yummy. Toppings I'd give them a three as they weren't my type of toppings but the kids were in heaven bc they got gummies, cotton candy and rock candy out of one deal. They were dog friendly! read more

What a wonderful addition to the twin cities food/ fun scene. Besides ice cream, they also offer other drink options like smoothie and bubble tea. I ordered the boba waffle. Even though the bubble waffle was little on the dense side but when you eat it with the popping boba, mochi, and lychee jelly PLUS strawberry ice cream= amazing combo! Every mouthful you get to experience different texture combo. Definitely coming back to try out more ! read more

I've had my third visit to the waffle bar the best crispy, delicious waffled ever with my two scoops of mango sorbet my Fruity Pebbles and bacon is always over-the-top Great, I'm in love with the Place changing up my flavors and try other flavors but that's just my number one choice, the service is always top quality I would never give it a 5-star and needs 1000, consideration and quality of the service of the representative of this company.. and I've told Family & Friends again and again everybody needs to try this spot... read more

A fun place that takes pride in their product presentation and service. I will definitely be taking others back to try their cones. I wish they had true Liege Belgian Waffles as an option too . The one very small turn off for me is the unfinished concrete floor, the rest of the decor is very trendy and clean. read more

Service was great, all of the employees were attentive and kind. The food tasted good but it was not worth the price. The waffle had okay flavor but it was very dry and it could have used some sort of additional syrup drizzle to give it depth. The shop is adorable and well kept. read more

Such a cute little place, but I wouldn't be going back. Don't get me wrong, the whole experience was fun and the waffles were absolutely beautiful, but the waffle was a little too much, given they only give you 1 scoop of ice cream. I would recommend this place if you love taking pictures of beautiful food/desserts or if you just want to go for the experience! read more

The ice cream is good, but you already knew that- it is Sebastian joes. The waffle is good. Soft and airy. However the ratio to ice cream to waffle is off. You run out of ice cream halfway into the waffle. The price is way off. $7.75 for one scoop of ice cream. Highway robbery was cheaper. read more

Really friendly and the interior is so cute! The ice cream was delicious totally recommend it. The parking lot is small so if it's too busy you'll have to park on the street. Other than that, there isn't any other downside. read more

Try it yourself!! Love the waffle bubble cone with all the side options they have. Great little cute place something Seattle needs too. 1 negative thing is parking is tight and most likely you'll have to get street parking. read more

Reading some of the other reviews, I'm a little sad to say that I don't share the same excitement that other reviewers have. Absolutely no line on a Thursday night though there were customers that came in and out after we ordered. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ice cream and it was also too sweet for my sis. The waffle was decent, but no one was blown away. Finally, the dessert itself is kind of difficult to eat. Overall, a very average experience. read more

Amazing desert and bubble tea. Ordered during quarantine, everything came in tact and it was delicious. The bubble tea has loaded pearls that explode in your mouth and I've never seen another bubble tea place that does that. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. Waffles themselves taste really good! Add all the toppings and it's to die for. Highly suggest going! It's really easy to shove candy on a mediocre waffle and some ice cream but every ingredient tasted amazing and well made!! Not too much seating but in the summer who wants to sit inside anyways!!! read more

I'm all about the "do it for the insta" life and Waffle Bar helps me achieve that and also leave with a happy belly. Love when you get great dessert that's just so pretty! They've got a lovely wall to pose with your tasty creation and great natural lighting to boot. As for the ice cream and waffle itself - SUCH a great addition to our growing ice cream scene. I tried the Coco Mango (vegan option) as well as their vegan waffle. YUM. My only thing is that I had a tough time eating the two together; I opted for finishing the ice cream first and waffle second. Still - the two were beautifully put together and both still tasty. Plus, you would've never guessed the waffle was vegan. I'd like a copy of that recipe, please and thank you! I also absolutely loved the choice of toppings. Seems like you really can't go wrong with any of their signature creations. I've got my eyes on the Banananutella one next time I'm in! read more

This place has been my summer obsession. Uptown + ice cream + cute ambience? This is basically everything I want. The bubble waffles are a bit crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and made to order. The warm bubble waffle paired with the ice cream makes a great texture and then the added garnishments make this dessert so instagram-worthy that you can't help but take pictures in front of their selfie wall. They definitely have some unique garnishments which was a nice change of pace - such as an entire bouquet of cotton candy (is that what it's called?) and tamarind straws. I am beyond excited that this place opened up! read more

My favorite ice cream place by far! Located next to the subway! Love that they have their own parking lot which is rare for something down near uptown. Interior is cute great for a place to have ice cream with a bunch of friends. They even have a cute wall so you can take pictures of the tasty creations! I was affirmed with my decision to go with my usual medium rare temp - whereas some cuts it was recommended to go Medium and so on. The meat was PERFECT. To go with it I also ordered the pommes puree with garlic gravy - it's as good as it sounds which is VERY GOOD. To go with my steak I paired it myself with a Montepulciano red - one i am very familiar with and paired nicely with the steak and puree. To wrap things up I am a sucker for an Olive Oil cake - theirs was really good. Doesn't beat my all time favorite at a place near me in my hometown, but this one had a nice fruit element different than the typical berries I am used to going with it. As I was enjoying it one of the bartenders came over and provided a lively complimentary liquor - a small but very lovely serving. The atmosphere was exceptional. The service was phenomenal. The food instantly became a top highlight for my trip, and the overall experience has me wanting more.
