Since my job moved out of dt/the city I don't really hang on this part of town much but definitely have a list of places I'd want to go, and this was one of them. I am so, so, soooo sad that this place is closing. We finally tried it last weekend after hearing about the impending closure, and wow, we had no idea what we were missing! The vegan desserts here are sooooooo yummy, and they have a ton of them! We shared the chocolate sundae and the rice pudding, and both were amazing. The ambiance is really fun, with a bar and some fancy seating. This would be an ok place for a first date, and since it's so close to a bunch of fancy restaurants, it's also a great place to stop in after a nice meal (which is what we did). We came in around 6:45pm on a Friday and the place was nearly empty. I had the Rocher Mousse and it was excellent. My partner had some sort of a rhubarb ice cream pie, which he enjoyed. He also had an iced chai, the flavor was good, but it was a little watery for my taste. Overall a great place for dessert. We didn't have a cocktail today, maybe next time. I really like the ambiance here, as both a cafe during the day and in the evenings as a bar. I've been here 3 times now and have tried multiple desserts and, this most recent time, some cocktails. I still haven't found a dessert that I like here, unfortunately. I'm just not a fan of the frequency of mousse type desserts they offer, and I wish there was more variety. Once I try their baked goods (some cookies and a brownie) I'll update my review, but I don't think those are what they're known for or advertise often. The drinks were good though - sweet as expected, while still being able to taste the alcohol. During the day the space is not crowded, and I see people working on their laptops sometimes. It does get packed in the evenings though so I recommend getting there before 7 if you want a seat. read more

But that's minor. They did check in on us several times I got a chocolate cake and my friend got the lavender cheesecake. Both were divine and the cheesecake was so pretty to eat. I also got a salted caramel chocolate chip cookie for later and it was so yummy. I had a chai latte which was pretty good. The dip was warm and lovely and yummy as well. When you first walk in, the ambiance is there, cute chairs, chill vibe and knowledgeable staff. I decided to try the salted caramel ice cream. While the ice cream was good, I would opt for a different flavor next time, the caramel used to make it taste a bit burnt so it wasn't as sweet as I imagined. But that Chocolate chip cookie and espresso martini!!! 10/10, bravo, round of applause!! Located across from Red Rabbit in North Loop, it's the perfect spot for a cool cocktail/dessert lounge and central to a lot of other restaurants. We came here after an anniversary dinner in the area! Staff was very kind and the coffee my boyfriend ordered came out quick. We ordered 3 different desserts and a coffee coming out to $32, which is pretty fair for the high quality desserts. We ordered the Snack Cake, Brown Butter Blondie & Lemon Chestnut Dessert Jar. All three were phenomenal! Surprisingly my favorite was the Brown Butter Blondie (I'm a chocolate girl at heart). It was salty, sweet and rich - you would think it would be bland by the picture, but it was nothing but flavor! The snack cake was a delicious chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream and a chocolate shell. The cake was incredibly moist and the buttercream silky, not too rich either! Only downside was the chocolate shell was so stiff it was hard to bite/cut into. Think of a Portillos Chocolate Cake, but elevated. Finally, the lemon dessert jar was light and a great palette cleanser with the two rich baked goods. It was so refreshing and summery!
