Went here while visiting. We were on a time crunch trying to make a movie and we were able to get in, eat, and get out in a reasonable amount of time. It had a quaint diner feel, with roomy booths. I hate to give this review, but they've earned it. We got the chicken and waffles through DoorDash and first thing first there was a massive piece of hair In both the chicken and the waffle . Now, obviously, the hair is an entangling every piece of the food so even though I was extremely discussed that I still wanted to give it a try and the food sucks as well The chicken is not seasoned at all, the eggs weren't seasoned at all the waffle .. because the piece of hair had lint on it. I didn't even try the waffle, but either way it was an extremely big letdown on possibly one of my most hungriest mornings. I think what really gets me is the fact that because the hair was underneath the waffle, I know you had the opportunity to at least see that there was hair in the Tego container and being that you had hair in both it's just statistically likely that you have hair and majority of your food. read more

We stumbled on this place by accident; we were driving and it was pouring, so we decided to stop for a bite. The food was so fresh! The service was super friendly and actually went above and beyond for us! We didn't realize that the place closed at 2 and we got there a bit before 2. They could have told us to leave, or made us feel rushed, but they didn't; they were courteous, and polite. They gave us time to order and brought everything super fast and fresh. My kids ordered the crepes, I had a delicious chilaquiles, and my husband a turkey melt and we enjoyed every bit of it. Also, large portions. We all had left overs. First was the food, we ordered one of the specials. It was missing crispy onion, sauce, not cooked properly and did not come with the side sauce. We also ordered a monte cristo. It was soggy, undercooked, and flavorless. It also had Craft cheese on it. It was also missing the sauce. We asked wait staff for help after waiting 15 minutes before one looked in our general direction, and we could finally flag them down. We asked for the sauces for both. They just said "we don't have that" for the special. And they brought a half cup of berry sauce for the monte cristo. Food tasted terrible and staff did not check on us once. We received our first water refill as we were paying. We did not finish our food and paid and left. We are extremely disappointed as this was not our experience in the past. Came here for breakfast on Saturday around 11am and it was pretty empty inside. Service was pretty quick. After looking through the menu a few times, decided on strawberry shortcake mimosa, spicy chicken and waffles, and linguica skillet (which is basically a scramble, with hash browns on the bottom). Note that it will take 15-20 min for the fried chicken, but it's worth the wait! Strawberry shortcake mimosa: 2/5 it looks prettier than it tastes. I'd skip this! It just some sparkling wine with some strawberry juice/syrup and whipped cream on top. Spicy chicken and waffles: 5/5. Wow, this was very good. The chicken has great Cajun-ish seasoning, the skin is perfectly fried and crispy, the chicken was juicy. The waffles were great as well. It seems to have some almond flour in it from the taste of it. Waffles were light, slight crunch, nice chew. It was very good. Well worth the wait! Must try! Linguica skillet: 3/5. It's pretty basic and doesn't stand out. Hash browns were on the bottom of it and it has a bit of a crunch. The pancakes that came with it were fluffy and moist, and it has a little crunch on the edges, which was wonderful. Overall pretty standard dish. I dont leave negative reviews often, but this place really was disappointing. You walk in and the ambiance was fun and light so I'll give them that, but other than that the service and the food was not up to par. The waitress asked simple questions but didn't seem to pay attention to answers because the result of the jam, iced or hot drinks etc, was completely not what we had said at all. Then to top it off, the food was not good. The presentation seemed to be what they were going for, minus the blackened avocado on my boyfriend's burrito. The eggs Benedict was supposed to have Canadian bacon, yet it was ham, the oatmeal was extremely bland, and the burrito just tasted as if it had been put together the day before and sat over night. The people were friendly in there, but overall I do not recommend this place. We didn't try the waffles though so maybe those are better! read more

I had never eaten at waffle bite before today. I called them on my way up to Redding from the Bay Area during a trip to see my family. I stopped and got a couple burritos... Breakfast burritos... Which came with a cup of fruit. The fruit was a nice added touch. The burritos were some of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had in my life. Absolutely delicious... And well some people may think the price is a little high for that breakfast burrito, it's enormous. You could probably split it between three people. I don't even know where they get tortillas big enough to wrap that much food. The flavor combination of what was inside. The burrito was amazing. on top of all of this. I called 15 minutes before they even opened at 6:45 AM. Not only did they pick up the phone, but they accommodated my order and told me that they could make it by the time I got there at 7:30.
