The restaurant is set up cute. When you walk in they have a couple high chairs and tables, a coffee table with couches and lounge chairs surrounding and a lot of two person tables against the wall. Kim was super helpful she explained the menu to us and the taste of everything, upcoming events etc. she even explained that the salad comes in waffle bowls and explained what's to come in the future, with more waffles. I ordered the waffle n flight with the maple bacon waffle, loaded baked potato , and banana pudding, with a watermelon lemonade. The maple bacon waffle was pretty good, I think I taste a hint of cherry somewhere in there. The loaded baked potato waffle was my favorite. The mash potatoes are so good you can eat it by themselves, and the banana pudding waffle was SUPER sweet. They put a lot of pudding on top with whipped cream drizzle cookies and like a banana slice. Lastly the watermelon lemonade was so juicy it taste just like a watermelon and it comes with watermelon bits. My friend tried the lavender lemonade and it taste like a lavender with the end sweetness of the lemonade.

This place is not big at all, there are about 12 various table set ups, of which 4 were occupied when I entered. This was around 11:00 am on a Wednesday. They are closed Mondays. Very cute and clean with an amazing old school r&b playlist going. My order was taken promptly. I opted for the sweet waffle flight, with my choices being caramel pecan, strawberry cheesecake and banana pudding waffles. To me the flights are the best deal because you can try a variety of their options. I plan to come back and try the savory flight. I was going to get a cafe mocha to drink but was informed that they only have coffee so then I asked for a bottles of water. They were out so I got a cup of tap water. Once my order was placed, the wait began ! I was told my order would take 35-45 minutes, luckily I had read other reviews and knew to expect this. This is because everything is made fresh to order but I can't imagine how long it takes when the place is really packed . Got my food about 45 minutes later. Highly recommend coming early because around 12 the place got PACKED! I thought the banana pudding waffle would be my favorite but it ended up being the strawberry cheesecake, followed by the candied pecan. The banana pudding was good but a little too sweet for me, it just tasted like sugar. The strawberry cheesecake was sweet but the cheesecake gave it a little tang that was a perfect complement. The candied pecan was also very sweet but the pecans helped cut through some of of the sweetness.

Be prepared to wait awhile for your food. This was expected as everything is made fresh to order, and there is a sign explaining this. However, my order was ready far before my friend's order, even though we placed our orders at the same time. I was almost done eating by the time she received her order. The staff was absolutely wonderful - friendly and personable. I ordered the Waffle 'N Flight and while the toppings were awesome, the waffle itself was mediocre. Tough to cut with a plastic fork and a bit chewy. Very Berry was the best. I'd like to go back to try the Salad Bowls.

This place has everything I've ever wanted in a waffle setting. The staff was so welcoming and service was faster than I expected on the grand opening. The ambiance was cozy and the place has wifi to boot! Straight to the point: Everything was delicious and I'll have to fight myself not to come here every day. I got the waffle flight with the banana pudding, buffalo chicken, and the strawberry cheesecake waffles. I got the watermelon and lavender bliss lemonade. I got the rainbow sherbet waffle ice cream cone. Lastly, I got the catfish bites and the chicken bites. Each one of these was simply amazing. I think my favorite is the strawberry cheesecake one though. The flight in total provided 6 waffle quarters with 2 for each flavor. The sweet waffles were not overly sweet and the flavors were very distinct. The buffalo chicken waffle was magnificent. I didn't know how pickles would work with waffles, but the combo was perfect. The catfish and chicken bites were perfectly seasoned. In addition I had the lavender bliss and watermelon lemonade. The lavender one was my favorite as it had real lavender in it. Lastly, the ice cream was the perfect ending to my meal. I will definitely be back! Extra credit: everything came in carry out containers so I didn't have to go back up and ask for some!

This was my first time at this establishment and I can honestly say that I was pleased. I ordered the Chicken beacon ranch wrap. I don't know how they made a waffle that flat and soft but it was delicious. The chicken was hot, the ranch wasn't watered down and the beacon had a nice crunch. I was surprised to see the Co-Owner at the register taking orders but I'm glad she did. Kim was very professional, polite and personable. She threw me for a loop when she came back from the kitchen and called me by my first name to see if my order was take-out or dine-in . I thought it was one of my aunts (family member) calling me . The decor and ambiance is giving relaxation, comfort and sophisticated all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I'm looking forward to the upcoming new SUNDAY BRUNCH starting soon.

Let me start by saying- I know this place is new and will have issues. That said I was kind of disappointed. I love waffles. I wanted to love this place. I got a chicken waffle sandwich and the waffle was very soft. My wrap just kind of fell apart. There was very little chicken on it and didn't seem like a great value. Won't do that again. So I think my problem with everything was the waffles were soggy and really soft. I know personal preference. Just a plain Belgium waffle is $8. The loaded potato waffles were ok. It seemed to be commercial mashed.. Nacho cheese. Nothing spectacular!! I expected a signature waffle batter. I expected something so great and I walked away think meh. Glad I tried it.. but too many amazing places in this fashion district. Oh- the place is small.. just a few tables along the side. It's cozy as they have a few larger couches up front. Good for yourself and one person. Also not very private or intimate. Not quite quick either. Good to try. But meh.

    FYI

Fast service. Original menu. Good tasty food. Hot coffee that was fresh. Lots of take out orders but cute enough for a sit down breakfast (ambiance).

Today, my love of waffles took me to Waffle Cafe Detroit. First of all, there was a parking lot, which is a blessing in the area. I walked in and the vibe was fantastic!! Along with traditional seating, there were couches. It was perfect for a group or just some place to chill while enjoying the food and music or a book. The service was great. Kam walked us through the menu. There was a lot to choose from and we were told that there would be a lot more. We ordered the maple bacon waffles, the chicken bacon ranch wrap, the catfish bites and lavender lemonade. The wrap for the sandwich was actually a softer version of a waffle cone. It was really nice and had a slight sweetness. The waffles were covered with an ample amount of bacon pieces and real maple syrup. The catfish bites were ridiculously good! Even my mother, who doesn't like catfish, loved them. As for the lavender lemonade, I will be having it each and every time I return!

Tucked in the Chrysler building is the Dime Store restaurant, this is a small establishment with about 20-ish tables and bar seating. Entrance is through the Chrysler building. I must mention there is ample street or structure parking in the area. Dine Store is casual feels with BIG flavors! Plus the Staff were friendly and welcoming. At our table, we started with Chai Lattes. They offer milk alternatives-Yaay! The Chai was good sprinkled with cinnamon and steaming hot. It could have used a bit more chai, which I'm sure they would have supplied but it was good that I sipped away. To note, they do offer cocktails and beers, as not all brunch places do. We tried the Mushroom and Goat cheese Omelette and a Build your Own omelette. Our table was pleased as the omelettes may appear 'small' but don't let that fool you, they were packed with flavor. Also, the dishes were made to order. The cubed potatoes were delicious along with the Zingerman's Toast with strawberry jam. Oh yes, we also got a side of the chicken sausage and no disappointments. Everything was cooked to perfection. I must point out that the ingredients were fresh, we could taste the difference with the farm to table ingredients and the potatoes and omelettes were not greasy at all! Can't wait to visit again-recommended!

The staff was very friendly and warm when greeting guests. Their personable nature made the visit that much more worth the walk in the heat. Since the place was pretty busy we took bar stools to avoid waiting for a table and it was a good view of the smaller kitchen area. I was pleasantly surprised at the efficiency we saw from the busy crowd and the food not taking 10 years. The food was tasty. I truly enjoyed my Korean spicy fries. Spicy in name not truly spicy to cause a burn if that makes sense. I was craving a traditional breakfast plate but the staff and my friends who are local insisted that I needed to try the Korean fries so I did both. Was it greedy of me? Absolutely. Did I care? No. The locally sourced sausage was also very tasty. I must try to find it to cook at home. My friends ordered their regular go-to meals so it was great according to them. The burger and the duck hash. I think I'll go back and try the duck hash next time for sure. And another thing, there's a particular parking garage they validate a couple hours for. So parking is not an issue in this downtown office building.
