The restaurant is set up cute. When you walk in they have a couple high chairs and tables, a coffee table with couches and lounge chairs surrounding and a lot of two person tables against the wall. Kim was super helpful she explained the menu to us and the taste of everything, upcoming events etc. she even explained that the salad comes in waffle bowls and explained what's to come in the future, with more waffles. I ordered the waffle n flight with the maple bacon waffle, loaded baked potato , and banana pudding, with a watermelon lemonade. The maple bacon waffle was pretty good, I think I taste a hint of cherry somewhere in there. The loaded baked potato waffle was my favorite. The mash potatoes are so good you can eat it by themselves, and the banana pudding waffle was SUPER sweet. They put a lot of pudding on top with whipped cream drizzle cookies and like a banana slice. Lastly the watermelon lemonade was so juicy it taste just like a watermelon and it comes with watermelon bits. My friend tried the lavender lemonade and it taste like a lavender with the end sweetness of the lemonade.

This place is not big at all, there are about 12 various table set ups, of which 4 were occupied when I entered. This was around 11:00 am on a Wednesday. They are closed Mondays. Very cute and clean with an amazing old school r&b playlist going. My order was taken promptly. I opted for the sweet waffle flight, with my choices being caramel pecan, strawberry cheesecake and banana pudding waffles. To me the flights are the best deal because you can try a variety of their options. I plan to come back and try the savory flight. I was going to get a cafe mocha to drink but was informed that they only have coffee so then I asked for a bottles of water. They were out so I got a cup of tap water. Once my order was placed, the wait began ! I was told my order would take 35-45 minutes, luckily I had read other reviews and knew to expect this. This is because everything is made fresh to order but I can't imagine how long it takes when the place is really packed . Got my food about 45 minutes later. Highly recommend coming early because around 12 the place got PACKED! I thought the banana pudding waffle would be my favorite but it ended up being the strawberry cheesecake, followed by the candied pecan. The banana pudding was good but a little too sweet for me, it just tasted like sugar. The strawberry cheesecake was sweet but the cheesecake gave it a little tang that was a perfect complement. The candied pecan was also very sweet but the pecans helped cut through some of of the sweetness.

Be prepared to wait awhile for your food. This was expected as everything is made fresh to order, and there is a sign explaining this. However, my order was ready far before my friend's order, even though we placed our orders at the same time. I was almost done eating by the time she received her order. The staff was absolutely wonderful - friendly and personable. I ordered the Waffle 'N Flight and while the toppings were awesome, the waffle itself was mediocre. Tough to cut with a plastic fork and a bit chewy. Very Berry was the best. I'd like to go back to try the Salad Bowls.

This place has everything I've ever wanted in a waffle setting. The staff was so welcoming and service was faster than I expected on the grand opening. The ambiance was cozy and the place has wifi to boot! Straight to the point: Everything was delicious and I'll have to fight myself not to come here every day. I got the waffle flight with the banana pudding, buffalo chicken, and the strawberry cheesecake waffles. I got the watermelon and lavender bliss lemonade. I got the rainbow sherbet waffle ice cream cone. Lastly, I got the catfish bites and the chicken bites. Each one of these was simply amazing. I think my favorite is the strawberry cheesecake one though. The flight in total provided 6 waffle quarters with 2 for each flavor. The sweet waffles were not overly sweet and the flavors were very distinct. The buffalo chicken waffle was magnificent. I didn't know how pickles would work with waffles, but the combo was perfect. The catfish and chicken bites were perfectly seasoned. In addition I had the lavender bliss and watermelon lemonade. The lavender one was my favorite as it had real lavender in it. Lastly, the ice cream was the perfect ending to my meal. I will definitely be back! Extra credit: everything came in carry out containers so I didn't have to go back up and ask for some!

This was my first time at this establishment and I can honestly say that I was pleased. I ordered the Chicken beacon ranch wrap. I don't know how they made a waffle that flat and soft but it was delicious. The chicken was hot, the ranch wasn't watered down and the beacon had a nice crunch. I was surprised to see the Co-Owner at the register taking orders but I'm glad she did. Kim was very professional, polite and personable. She threw me for a loop when she came back from the kitchen and called me by my first name to see if my order was take-out or dine-in . I thought it was one of my aunts (family member) calling me . The decor and ambiance is giving relaxation, comfort and sophisticated all at the same time. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. I'm looking forward to the upcoming new SUNDAY BRUNCH starting soon.

Let me start by saying- I know this place is new and will have issues. That said I was kind of disappointed. I love waffles. I wanted to love this place. I got a chicken waffle sandwich and the waffle was very soft. My wrap just kind of fell apart. There was very little chicken on it and didn't seem like a great value. Won't do that again. So I think my problem with everything was the waffles were soggy and really soft. I know personal preference. Just a plain Belgium waffle is $8. The loaded potato waffles were ok. It seemed to be commercial mashed.. Nacho cheese. Nothing spectacular!! I expected a signature waffle batter. I expected something so great and I walked away think meh. Glad I tried it.. but too many amazing places in this fashion district. Oh- the place is small.. just a few tables along the side. It's cozy as they have a few larger couches up front. Good for yourself and one person. Also not very private or intimate. Not quite quick either. Good to try. But meh.

    FYI

Fast service. Original menu. Good tasty food. Hot coffee that was fresh. Lots of take out orders but cute enough for a sit down breakfast (ambiance).

Today, my love of waffles took me to Waffle Cafe Detroit. First of all, there was a parking lot, which is a blessing in the area. I walked in and the vibe was fantastic!! Along with traditional seating, there were couches. It was perfect for a group or just some place to chill while enjoying the food and music or a book. The service was great. Kam walked us through the menu. There was a lot to choose from and we were told that there would be a lot more. We ordered the maple bacon waffles, the chicken bacon ranch wrap, the catfish bites and lavender lemonade. The wrap for the sandwich was actually a softer version of a waffle cone. It was really nice and had a slight sweetness. The waffles were covered with an ample amount of bacon pieces and real maple syrup. The catfish bites were ridiculously good! Even my mother, who doesn't like catfish, loved them. As for the lavender lemonade, I will be having it each and every time I return!

She snagged me a menu and they have a good selection of food to choose from. I ventured off from my usual eggs and hash browns for once and tried their breakfast sandwich. From experience, not all breakfast sandwiches are created equal! I was skeptical from being disappointed in the past. I also ordered a side of hash browns because I wanted to see what they were like. I got the sandwich on Texas toast and let me tell you, it was fabulous! It was egg and cheese only and so good. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the hash browns were as well. They were cubed style, with some onions and spice to it. I topped it off with a dash of hot sauce and boom, there ya go folks, good stuff it is! My bill was about $8 give or take, I can't remember the exact amount. Overall, a good meal for a decent price. While the place isn't super fancy on the inside, it really made a good impression on me!

My friend pointed out the breathtakingly beautiful bouquet of dried flowers hanging over our table. I should have taken a photo when I had the chance. I started with the spiced brown sugar latte, made with oat milk. Delicious and sweeter than I thought. Even though the menu is small and curated, I could not decide between the nosh plate, the biscuit brekkie, or the quiche, which was the special of the day. So I ended up with the quiche but added the biscuit and bacon - I did not want to miss out. The crust of the quiche was fine, but the custard-like filling was divine, more like a savory crème brûlée or flan. Service was quick and efficient. We came for lunch and I had already had my morning coffee, but we had not been here in so long, I needed my Original coffee fix and ended up having three more cups. Their coffee taste great all ways, black, with cream, with cream and sugar, so good! My child had a strawberry lemonade. They limit you to only one refill, but they were very kind and asked her if she was ready for her second cup. We love their specialties, which they do warn you takes extra long to bake, about twenty minutes, but it is always worth it. I ended up getting the baby Dutch garden, which is baked. It is so good, so underrated, I love this one every time. It is like an omelette inside a German pancake. It is perfection. I always also need something sweet, so I got a half order of blueberry pancakes. The batter is so good and they give you a side of blueberries in syrup. My child got the baked apple. This is the most iconic treat and a must order if you have never been here before. Again, it is baked sugar, apples and cinnamon inside a German pancake. We both had leftovers. So, each of our meals was like two meals. My husband got the broccoli and cheese omelette and a side of chocolate chip pancakes. They have hands down the best chocolate chip pancakes in the area and their omelettes are so fluffy and delicious. Personally, when I get their omelette, I get the spinach and cheddar which is amazing. Other items I love include the 49ers. Those are the best pancakes, they are a hybrid crepe and American pancake, and if you have never had one, you need to try them, they are ginormous. Their buckwheat pancakes are also so good. Their orange juice is typically fresh squeezed and worth ordering, and there are so many other items I have never tried because I do not have enough room in my stomach. This is a must try for everyone. There is usually a long line, but it tends to go quickly. Service is always friendly.
