First time after seeing it for YEARS. I enjoyed the egg, pancake and sausage patty combo. Belgian waffle satisfied a craving as expected with waffle in the cafe's title! Casual, order at counter and find a seat kind of place. There is an order to do this so that you won't get stuck ordering food without a place to sit and receive your order, unless you've ordered take away. To be fair I got takeout so I can't speak to the ambiance or service at all, but I was really impressed with the food and the portion size for the price. I opted to get a build your own omelette and I added a bunch of mix-ins including some veggies, meats, and cheeses. I appreciated how integrated everything was - I've found that some places kinda fold them in after the eggs are cooked so it's more of a "pocket" - not here! There's only so much to be said about hash browns (hard to mess up) but I liked how they were well-done and not soggy at all. Only miss is that they didn't include ketchup in the bag although they do have it on the tables inside. Toast (also included in the price) was good and I liked the variety of choices including sourdough which is my favorite. Omelettes are around $12 which I think is totally solid for the area. Really disappointing visit to the Omelette & Waffle Cafe. I haven't been there in awhile, and I was disappointed. First, it seemed like they had switched out their absolutely divine fresh squeezed orange juice for a generic-tasting bottled version. Second, the bacon had an off taste. I didn't want to eat any more after the first bite. Finally, the Apple Stuffed Waffle was just ok. The apple pie filling tasted cheap and I didn't want to finish the waffle. Had the corned beef hash and poached eggs. The corned beef was prepared in small chunks rather than the usual ground up which I liked. There were ample beef chunks. The poached eggs were cooked as ordered and without residual water which few restaurants manage to do. Plenty of condiments on hand without asking. Will come again. read more

So tucked into this Plymouth mall is omelette and waffle cafe- order at the cashier then find a table. I had a green omelette side of sausage/bacon. It was great! Updating my review as we encountered a pretty bad experience here over Memorial Day weekend. This has been a place my family and I frequent for a quick and decent breakfast when they are in town visiting but after this experience, unfortunately I think we will have to find a new place. After placing our order, we sat down and waited for our food with our coffee. The coffee tasted awful, like it was burnt or they haven't cleaned their coffee machine in awhile. Then breakfast comes out and our food was all cold. Hash browns had barely any color on them so you could tell they weren't cooked long enough. Sausage patties were nearly burnt on one side yet the other side was pale so they didn't flip the patties. My mom's bacon was not cooked at all. It was still gooey/flimsy and pale. My brother ordered a breakfast bowl with cheese and they forgot to put the cheese in. We stuck it out and ate our dishes except my mother who had the most of the underdone food. I will say, props to them for offering to make something else. She ended up getting a breakfast sandwich which was cooked well and came out hot. Overall quite disappointed. The rest of the day my stomach was upset and I wouldn't be surprised it if had something to do with our food. Hopefully things improve. read more

Not sure if there is new ownership but there are major differences in the food quality from the last time I ate here about 6 months ago. The Belgian waffle was dry and tasted like cardboard and the Mexican omelette was way overcooked, and the coffee was weak. The fountain drink machine was also broken and tastes like water mixed with pop. If there is a new owner you're going to have to step it up to keep up and make it with the crowd in DTP. read more

I have seen it go from paper plates and plastic silverware and pay for cheese separately on an omelette to the development that it is today. Best omelettes in the World. Breakfast is not something I eat often, but when I do it's usually something small or not super heavy. On this day I really wanted eggs and some kind of fried potatoes with a cup of coffee. Came here based on reviews and I was pleased. The way it works is you order your breakfast at the front desk, pay for it and then they bring it to wherever you're seating (which I like). The mug for my coffee also gets bonus points for being nice and sleek. I ordered the Megatron, which came with eggs, toast, and hash browns mixed with veggies and turkey sausage. The cooks behind the counter also seemed very happy to be doing what they do because they were singing along to whatever songs were playing on their speakers! Food was bland and undercooked. Toast wasn't even toasted, just has butter on it not even toasted. Omelette was fluffy didn't have a taste. Hash brown wasn't fully cooked. Service was horrible, waitress didn't even give us refills and was rude. Fountain drinks are self service! Coffee was like water and when asked for fresh coffee she got mad, and no better. Place is so small!! You have to sidestep to get around in there. They make you pay upfront and you have the option to tip before you see the service. I will never go back HORRIBLE!!! As we walked in we were struck by the delicious smell of breakfast. I ordered avocado toast which was delicious. The tomatoes were beautifully sliced and I appreciated that the tomatoes were on the side rather than on top. Right after we sat down my friend was served orange juice. I had a glass of the freshly squeezed orange juice. Delicious. From ordering to eating was a max of 15 minutes. Food was as expected. Definitely fluffy pancakes. The takeout business was very robust! Food is good, but service is absolutely terrible. I've been there a few times, so I understood that you place your order at the front when you walk in, you pay at the time you order, then you find a table to sit at and a server brings your food to the table when it's ready. They have a cash tip jar out front with a note about tipping your server, but I opted to tip the usual 20% on my credit card. The server brought us our food, and then never came back to our table. Not once. And they were NOT busy. There were 3 other tables of two people in there. The workers had time to play around and joke with each other. But we had to go up to the front counter 3 times to get coffee refills, and then again for a to-go box. Not once did they say anything or apologize about us having to come up for refills. What the heck is the tip for if they do nothing for you? Makes no sense. Will never return. read more

I found this restaurant after running errands in the area. It's a tiny diner style restaurant that you order at the register and then go find a table. Service at the register was very rushed. As a first timer I didn't really get a chance to look over the menu. I ordered the breakfast bowl that was on special for the day with a cup of coffee. At first we were told it would be a 15 min wait for a table, then she said it's ready. After ordering I had to verify if it was ok to go find a table or wait by the window. There was some confusion before the waitress told us a table was available. The tables are very tight. We had to ask the bus boy for coffee and he looked confused because he didn't know if we had paid for coffee when we placed our order. He eventually brought us coffee but no spoons or cream. When the food came out it was good however I probably won't be back because it's just so small inside and the service was very unorganized. read more
