We got a last minute reservation on a Sunday and it was absolutely packed. Despite that, the service was excellent and the food came out quick. Highly recommend the French toast!

I was in town for the R&B concert. Breakfast is pretty solid and that says a lot for me, I very picky when it comes to breakfast! Eggs were delicious! Soft and fluffy, perfect amount of cheese! My daughter orders her bacon extra limp and it was great! Had a bit of a grilled taste, loved it!! I wish the bread was actually toast for my avocado toast but the spread very well seasoned. My friend ordered a side of wings, so glad she did!! Those were a 12/10!!! My daughter loved her Chunky Monkey Pancakes! My party also enjoyed the strawberry crepes and corned beef hash! Service was great! Would definitely try again if I'm back in town.

We went for late brunch around 2p. There was no wait. I had the corned beef hash with fruits and pancake and my boyfriend had the vodoo. Everything was delicious. Service was good.

We were greeted when we walked in. No wait. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The bathrooms were clean. The restaurant was also clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We paid for parking on the street but found out that they will validate parking inside. The food was made to order and was hot. I ordered the spicy tofu skillet. It wasnt spicy at all and lacked flavor. The pancakes were fluffy. The potatoes and grits were also bland.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Came here on a rainy Sunday for brunch, and they were still packed, which speaks to just how popular this place is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There was a 45-minute wait for a table for two, but it was absolutely worth it. Once seated, we were greeted right away and served water. I ordered the blueberry burger, and my sister had the chicken and waffles. When I say that was one of the best burger patties I've had, I mean i! It was thick, juicy, and incredibly flavorful. The blueberry mayonnaise may sound a little unconventional, but don't knock it until you try it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]And I have to mention the bathrooms, they were pristine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, everything was great, and I'll definitely be returning.

Tom was amazing to work with. I hosted an after wedding brunch here on Monday morning. Tom was super responsive and helped to create a limited menu so our guests could order quickly and get on the road. The portions are generous and everything was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He gave us the front corner of the restaurant which made it easy to mingle while eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Maddie was on the ball and took care of all of our guests. My favorites were the chicken crepes and the Cinnabon pancakes. I wanted to try the cocktails but it was a Monday morning! Thank you to everyone at the Hudson Cafe who helped make our final wedding event perfect!

Snagged last minute reservations for brunch and were promptly seated! We ordered a variety of items: Red Velvet pancakes ($16), Salmon Croquettes ($11), Traditional Benedicts ($15), Bacon Jam Omelete ($17.5), House made Corned Beef Hash ($17), and Very Berry Stuffed French Toast ($16). We felt like we had the perfect amount of savory and sweet items for the table. The salmon Croquettes were thick, the French Toast was sliced thick and fluffy, the corned beef hash had a crunchy bite to it and our eggs were made perfectly. We barely had any leftovers after sharing among 4 people. We felt like the portions and flavors fit the prices!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]My husband and I came in for breakfast on a Wednesday and the restaurant was decently busy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered huevos rancheros, voodoo Benedict and the Cinnamon bun pancakes with cream cheese frosting. Food was very good, portions were big and service was quick!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Hudson Cafe was the perfect place to duck into on what felt like the coldest day in December. We sat right across from the new Hudson building with the Hudson teddy bear in view, which added to the holiday vibes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server, Daniel, was excellent. He stayed friendly and flexible even when we changed an item after ordering, and he handled 5+ tables like a pro. We ordered the Baja Cali Omelette with fruit and a side of pancakes, plus the Green Machine Omelette. Both omelettes were about a 3 out of 5. The eggs were overcooked, likely because they cook large portions at once, so they stay on the heat too long. It ends up giving the eggs a slightly cakey texture and some wateriness as the proteins break down. The Green Machine is very healthy, but the broccoli and other veggies inside add extra moisture and end up steaming the chicken that had been nicely seared. The portions are generous; I would just tweak how the omelettes are built. Just a note that the guacamole was a bit too citrusy (maybe citric acid to preserve?) as well. Coffee was fresh ground and genuinely good. The star of the meal was the pancakes. Fluffy, buttery, with a hint of cinnamon (maybe from the syrup), they were an easy 5 out of 5 and the best item of the morning. We would definitely come back just to explore more of their pancake options.

Here because of high Yelp ratings. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Atmosphere is amazing along with great service![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great selections beyond the normal. Got Voodoo Benedict, breakfast Old Fashioned and Shrimp and Grits. All was great! My boy got the chicken and waffles. They also do Military discounts!

My wonderful girlfriend Val brought me to Hudson Café for my birthday, and wow--what a great choice! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is clean, modern, and super inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now, when I go to brunch, I can never just order one thing, lol. So we went all in: the Bacon Jam Omelette, two orders of the Strawberry Shortcake French Toast, and cheese grits. For drinks, we both tried the Drunkin Teddy. Let's start with that omelette... absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, and the flavors of the bacon, cheese, and habanero jam were something completely new for me--unique, delicious, and something I'd happily eat again (and again). Val has been to Hudson Café before and always orders the Mexican Omelette, and even she said this one is her new favorite. That's saying something! The French toast? Oh man. Total treat. I thought it might be too much, but it was actually perfectly balanced--not overly sweet, with just the right mix of fruit and dessert vibes. Very much enjoyed. The cheese grits were solid, though not over the top. I couldn't finish them at the table, but they were good enough to take home for later. As for the Drunkin Teddy, breakfast cocktails aren't usually my first pick, but it sounded interesting, so we gave it a shot. It definitely has a kick--strong for me, but to be fair, it was before 5 p.m., lol. Still tasty and paired well with the food. Overall, I'll definitely be returning... and I'm already thinking about that omelette!

I was in Detroit for the weekend and Yelp helped me identify The Hudson Cafe as a place to grab brunch. Per the reviews, on the weekends it's best to make a reservation so that is what I did, and I am glad as I didn't have to wait and I was seated immediately. Julius was my server and he was charming, cool, and knowledgeable! He suggested I order the bacon jam omelette. I also ordered a mimosa. My meal came and wow--it was a huge portion! It came with the omelette, breakfast potatoes, and two pancakes! The bacon jam omelette was surprisingly delicious! It was savory and sweet. It was way too much food for me to eat it all but I did my best! If in Detroit, check out Hudson Cafe!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is always boomin![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't have a reservation so we had about an hour wait but the host staff were very friendly. Once we sat down, our server had waters at our table already and was quick to come take our drink orders. My friend ordered the very berry Bellini and loved it, so she ordered a second one. She gave it a 10/10. My other friend ordered a breakfast margarita - she gave it an 8/10. For food, we ordered the traditional meal with red velvet pancakes. She rated it a 9/10. My friend ordered house made corned beef hash with eggs, & cheese grits (gave it a 9/10) the grits needed some salt & pepper; and a Cinnabunn pancake (we give that a 12/10). The pancake was fire!!! I tasted a piece and wanted to order my own. My other friend ordered the crème brule chicken & waffles - she gave it a 9/10. I ordered an egg white omelet with turkey sausage, chicken, spinach & bell peppers. It was good but a little too runny for my liking. It came with fruit and whole wheat bread. I asked for strawberry jam and they brought me a homemade strawberry sauce that was soooo good! I give my meal an 7.5/10. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall, the place is cute and pretty spacious with lots of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely come back and order some other items from the menu!

tl;dr a fantastic little cafe serving really delicious crepes with super friendly service…read more Ambiance (5/5): I came to the cafe on a Friday morning to have a little breakfast and do a little computer work, so the cafe was fairly quiet with French music playing at a medium volume (you're aware of it but you won't need to talk too loudly to converse). As super lovely and relaxing vibe. They have a counter that says "Order Here" but there was one other table who ordered at their table and received the check at the end of their meal like regular table service. They offer a guest WiFi network, but definitely would not recommend taking any meetings or calls from this space; it's definitely not that kind of cafe! Food (5/5): I ordered the French Classic, which is egg, cheddar, and ham. It was SO delicious and generously portioned. I honestly didn't expect to feel so full, especially since this crepe wasn't as filled as some of the other ones on the menu, but wow! The crepe itself has a very lovely flavor and well complimented by the thin layer of egg inside. (Sidenote: I've gone back another time since I started writing this review, this time trying the 9am and the Lean Machine crepes. Both tasty and generous with the fillings, but I think the French Classic is still my favorite among the three. You get to taste the crepe itself more, and it's really good!) Service (5/5): I had very obviously portioned off and set aside half the crepe to take home and the staff very skillfully clocked it and handed me a box for it without me even asking. Everyone there is so friendly and attentive, and it really makes me want to keep coming back (and I will!).

I ventured out within a couple of hours of viewing to experience Le crepe on Washington Avenue in downtown Royal Oak. I was greeted upon entering while my 2-high top table was arranged. The ambiance and vibe in this small space was extremely relaxing and the staff friendly. Tiekeya, the owner, was helpful when I explained that it was my first time. My server was her niece, a young lady with a tremendous smile who shared she was a student at MSU as I was wearing a pullover displaying her Alma mater that I know well from paying so much tuition over several years for my children. I started with an enjoyable vanilla cappuccino which was prepared to my liking. I did not feel rushed at all, but the service was attentive and consistent throughout my dining experience. The restaurant was quite popular on this morning and I heard others mentioning the segment on the news. It was funny, as I was texting a couple of friends (foodies) from work who were very curious to hear about my experience. I was sharing quickly upon sitting down as this was a nice treat. I reviewed the menu which had several unique choices and I decided to order The Green Goat which was a crepe containing pan-seared chicken, bacon, Granny Smith apples, and caramelized onions with goat cheese and a little arugula. The combination of flavors was delicious in every aspect! Wow! As wonderful as my main course was, the sweet crepe favorites were even tastier. I chose the Cinnamon Sweet Cheese with bananas which included a crepe containing the bananas and a house cinnamon cream cheese icing that was fantastic! Thanks again to Fox 2 News as I will gladly make the 24 minute drive to enjoy this experience again. I also was thrilled to meet Chef Dennis in the kitchen who I had seen on the news. Do enjoy if you venture out and there is free parking for the first two hours in the nearby garage. Le Crepe was so good that I returned the next day and enjoyed a wonderful local brewed enjoyable coffee while I waited for a table. On day #2, I was really struggling to decide which crepe to try from so many descriptive choices on the menu. I chose the James Dean which was also fantastic once again. It was a delicious combination of flavors of scrambled eggs, a slightly spicy homemade sausage that was a perfect complement, and red skin potatoes with a cherry sauce drizzle. Tiekeya assured me that I can try one of the others when I come back on Tuesday . It is wonderful to meet such a kind business owner and it was refreshing to experience the staff interaction and she shared that I have now become one of her "regulars". I can't wait to come back and introduce family and friends to this amazing menu of tasty treats.

Lattes: The bonfire latte (special) had a strong espresso flavor, but it became sweeter as the marshmallows melted. I enjoyed this more than the lavender iced latte (special), though that ultimately came down to personal preference. Savory Breakfast Options: The triple triple omelette (regular menu item) is one of my favorite local omelettes, featuring three meats and three cheeses. The components of the sweet potato and pork belly hash (special) complimented each other nicely. It was served with house-made salsa verde and hot sauce. Sweet Breakfast Options: The campfire s'mores French toast (regular menu item) was rich and filling. The chicken and French toast (special) featured double-battered chicken tenders alongside Captain Crunch-encrusted challah French toast. Between the two, I preferred the chicken and French toast. The cinnamon swirl pancakes (regular menu item) are a classic dish here, and can be ordered as an entrée or a smaller side. Lunch Options: The birria tacos (special) were tasty, but a bit spicier than expected. Similarly, the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (special) definitely packed some heat. The chicken was sauced rather than coated in a dry rub. While I'm typically not a fan of chicken sandwiches that feature tenders instead of fillets, the size and quality of the tenders made this one work. The fries it came with had a fluffy interior and were lightly seasoned. Jagged Fork's variety and consistency over the years has kept me coming back. I often opt for the specials, but that's not a knock on the regular menu items. I'll be back to try more of the house favorites and new seasonal specials.
