John is the reason I even like Waffle House- I had never been until we got together. I am a scattered, smothered, covered, chunked & capped kinda woman. And John and I always share a waffle. However- we also have resorted to sharing the main too- so instead of us each ordering hashbrowns, we order their hashbrown bowl- which is HUGE!!! Hashbrown bowl with sausage, egg, cheese, onion- it's really delicious. I sometimes want a scrambled egg, so those bowls really are a hit. So our order was the sausage hashbrown bowl and a waffle. John got a coke zero and I got coffee- and there is the slight ding. It's always busy at WH- but it's fun to see the efficient hustle- this time, the waffle never got dropped and our drinks were served well after the scramble bowl hit the table. They had some extra bigwigs in the house that day and I think it was throwing off the team rhythm. We usually don't stop this soon in our roadtrip to visit family- but I am happy we did. read more

How do we not have coffee going at 6am on a weekday? There were no other customers here when I arrived but still, that's like a requirement. Simple breakfast this morning, a waffle with double pecans. The gal making waffles was new, so half the pecans were baked in and the other half were on top. That's a new twist. As well, she didn't use the full scoop and it wasn't completely cooked. It's located just off I-10 where it meets US-301. Lots of traffic, lots of truckers. I had rare opportunity to eat here last week, was meeting my sister for breakfast, we usually meet at Everybody's in Baldwin but they were closed due to holidays and so we decided to take a chance on the Waffle House over the 301 truck stop. I'm so happy we did (nothing against the truck stop), both of our breakfasts were cooked perfectly and delicious. My over medium eggs were not only cooked absolutely perfect, but when I broke into them the yolks were a deep orange color, and tasted like the free range eggs I pay top dollar for at the health food store! The grits were thick and course ground texture, and the waffle was buttery but also lite... it's a waffle with butter and syrup so what's not to love! The service was excellent, coffee was kept full, food was served fast and with a big smile from our waitress. I totally recommend this restaurant! read more

For the options in the area, this Waffle House is exemplary. Food is prepared lightning fast and the service is given with a smile. I really can't rate the food itself very high--it isn't bad, but if you're looking at a Waffle House as an option, I suspect you already have an idea what's in store--but again, the service is a cut above. Just like any Waffle House, the food is solid can't go wrong breakfast food that won't kill your wallet. Unlike any other Waffle House, however, the service was terrible. Jessica was the rudest server I've ever encountered at a restaurant. Definitely will never go back here. Everyone else was friendly, except this miserable person Jessica. She would do the bare minimum, then go to the bar area and slouch in a seat and look at her phone, complaining that she was so busy with a whopping two tables to attend to. Awful. One of the other customers made a comment to the manager about how they'd finally got some customers at this location. So I may have arrived prior to a Shift Change (06:20am), but still, no excuse for what should be simple standard Customer Service. I placed my order, consisting of eggs, bacon, a waffle, toast (2 full slices) and a bowl of grits. It was me and one other customer, who was already eating his breakfast when I came in. My order was brought to my table, minus the waffle which had not been prepared yet, so my waitress, Hannah, had to tell the cook, to make the waffle. I had to ask for some jelly for my toast, and with an attitude of inconvenience, Hannah gave me ONE for my toast.. I let that one go, but I had to send back my bacon to be completely cooked as it was almost raw and limp. Even the one customer noticed and said he would send it back as well. I did get my waffle and butter. For some reason, I still had to Ask For Syrup!! (Really??) Then I got my bacon which was still not as crisp as I prefer, but better. I was never asked if I needed more drink (empty cup). I paid for my meal, said "Thank you." for which her unemotional response was, "Your Welcome." and I left. At no point did I feel welcome, or was appreciated for my patronage. No "Thanks for stopping in.", or "Please come again." This location is conveniently located next door to two truck stop fuel plazas. (Pilot and TA) which is nice for a Commercial Truck Driver like myself. I would imagine that they see many drivers at that location. In my humble opinion, They could at Least TRY to cater a little bit better to their clientele. read more

Normally I wouldn't go any higher than a 4 for a Waffle House, but this one was special. Very....special. After driving all night, it was now morning and we decided to stop here for breakfast. We hadn't slept so we were groggy and mehhh but the second we opened the door it was like walking into a surprise birthday party "GOOD MORNING!!!!!! How are ya!" It was like these lovely lades were happy to see a couple of dudes, not interested in ladies. The woman that took our order was awesome, she cooked our food perfectly and the sausage gravy and biscuits were really good. Better than other Waffle Houses i have been to. Another rough around the edge woman started talking to us, and we asked for advice on Georgia speeding laws and immediately she was interested and gave us stories about her girlfriend and speeding and going 90 and going to jail. Not a huge fan of this chain and in the past I have had a less-than-satisfactory opinion of other locations, but as Waffle Houses go this one is VERY good. Located near the the intersection of 301 N and I-10, the food was not only good, but the service was excellent. There is something to be said for older, experienced, longterm waitresses. These women were on top of their game...friendly, fast, and they helped each other out to provide excellent service to customers. One waitress (not ours) even volunteered a shortcut which made our trip north shorter and easier. We were in and out of the establishment quickly. As for the food, the bacon was exceptionally tasty, and the waffles were soft and moist. Will return if in the area again and hungry. First time I've ever said that about a W.H. read more

Driving south on Christmas Day, we were fortunate to stop at this particular Waffle House in Baldwin Florida. Upon pulling in the parking lot, we were greeted by the restaurant manager with a great smile and a Santa hat. We immediately felt welcomed. First impressions!
