We decided go check out papa Sean's on our way home from visiting Gainesville. It was on a best pizza of Jacksonville list despite not being located in Jacksonville. Winning the prestigious honor set our expectations pretty high. The pizza is tasty, but I wouldn't place it above moon river. The crust was nice and chewy. Hubby and I decided to go for the supreme thin crust. My first four jobs were in pizza so I'm kind of difficult to impress. I as impressed! The crust was thin and cracker crisp which is super difficult to make right as a supreme with all the moisture in the fresh toppings. We decided the perfect amount of sauce and toppings were on this pizza in order to achieve that crisp crust... but we needed a side of marinara to balance the bite. No problem they brought it right out! We live not far from Baldwin and we have struggled mightily to find good food nearby. This place is frequented by the locals and we delayed deciding to give it a try far too long. But like I Said I'm a pizza snob so I wasn't expecting to find it this good! Its ambiance is definitely low key and it has somewhat reasonable prices. There were families with kids and I saw that they had a variety of choices to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Drinks are in super sized styrofoam cups which is great for taking with you when you go. We are coming back tomorrow to try the calzone! read more

We had heard of this establishment sometime ago but finally made our way over here for dinner/lunch on two consecutive days. The first day we ordered their large supreme pizza with two large sweet refillable while dining in teas. We did thin crust. The service was friendly/prompt. The pizza came out timely, and it was quite good. It could've perhaps used a few more toppings out to the edge of the pizza, and it ate a little dry; it seems as though the thin crust was not the way to go with this one but a thicker crust would've been better with the additional toppings. However, once we got some of their marinara sauce and added to the pizza it really improved it, so much so that we were willing to come back the next day and get a Philly cheese specialty calzone. My wife is a bigger fan of calzones than I am, and we initially thought that ricotta cheese in a Philly cheesesteak calzone might be weird. Well that was wrong, this calzone was delicious and the ricotta added a creaminess that was surprising. Again it came with marinara sauce which was great for the dipping. in terms of ambience, well, it's a local small establishment so the interior is what you would expect. it seems like they do a pretty decent to go business although when I got there Saturday afternoon no one was inside and I was the only person picking up (but that might just be the time that I went). We will come back if anything simply for the calzone although I would like to try the pizza with the thicker crust. read more

We just moved out past Glen Saint Mary, down US 90, so although Papa Sean's is kinda far, we really missed having good pizza nearby. This place is worth the hike! Great sauce, very well cooked and not soggy at all. Seems a little grungy outside but don't let that fool you. It is very nice and clean on the inside. Came to a pizza place but only ate wings...oops. I got the buffalo and cajun ranch wings (5 each). Thought they were decent and the ranch on the side was very generous. It was around $10 which is a solid bargain. Inside is relatively small but it was only around half full during the lunch hour. I'll give it around a 3.8 or so . I wish this app would not have round numbers. First left me say that the staff is great and I was treated great. Fast service The pizza we got was good. Has really great cheese and pep. We also got a meat lovers and it was good although the sausage was a bit strong the sauce was great on both pizzas. What could use a little work is the crust it could have been a shade more crispy . But all in all I'll go back. Could work on the price a bit for high 20s for 2 pizzas is a bit much. The restaurant wasn't busy but service was really slow which lost them a star. Menu had lots to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. I come here a lot! Me and my mom found this place when we moved into our house awhile ago. But today was kinda off? I'm a waitress myself so I always try to give the waiters the benefit of the doubt. But the waitress me and my friend had was really blunt and unfriendly. She introduced herself by setting the cups on the table and telling we could get our drinks. I wanted a sweet tea (they give the tea from their fridge) but she walked away at that point so I decided to go with soda. Then when I ordered a sub I asked again how big the sub was (I couldn't hear her the first time) and when she repeated herself she acted like I was stupid. Just a very "are you serious?" Tone. I got an appetizer and it was delivered when I actually got my food. Which really irritated me because it's an appetizer it usually comes before the food. Then at the end the waitress didnt give us our ticket like usual. I found out later you go to the front but the waitress didn't tell us and she just acted like she didn't want to talk or be there. Not friendly at all. The food was epic though and the other staff were super sweet which is why I'm leaving a four star review. I guess it was just a bad day read more

This place is like if Dominos was a small family business. It's cheap pizza. So, if you keep that in mind, you'll be alright. I usually get pizza and wings.
