We took the grandchildren for breakfast since there is a variety of choices. Seating was in just in time mode and we were seated at the booth just as it was wiped down. Our server promptly ask about drinks and asked if there were questions about the menu. We needed a minute, you know how four year olds can be indecisive. Our order was taken and in the interim our server picked up a trainee which slowed things down. The meal arrived in shifts. The odd bacon first followed five minutes later with the waffles. The hash brown bowl was the last to arrive about the time others were finishing their waffle. Outside of the bacon everything was as ordered and tasted great. This is one of my favorite locations, second only to the one in Fort Mill. The staff is always friendly, the coffee is hot, and the tables are clean. The food is just what you'd expect, and they tend to be busy around breakfast time on any given day. I always tip more than 20%, and recently, due to the egg shortage, they've added a $0.50 surcharge to help offset the higher costs. Yet it's still a place I would go for breakfast alway because you can count on them. And it's also familiar. read more

The place is small and a lil untidy but I understand because it's small and ppl are in and out so fast. The eating area is clean. Everyone was to busy playing rather than working. Our server disappeared so we didn't get refills on drinks. Then everyone but the dishwasher disappeared. Everyone seemed very spaced out and a lot of complaint that they didn't want to be there. Terrible customer service at this location, I'd definitely recommend going elsewhere. read more

Don't know about you but Waffle House is always good. Sad, mad, happy, whatever just go and eat their waffles. They're delicious. Just something about eating their waffles at 3 a.m makes it all better . Now, I will say all Waffle House teas (sweet tea) will have an off taste. I'm not sure why that is but it just does. And yes, all their food is good not just the waffles. They give good positions, they could be a tad bit larger but it's still okay. I'm not 100% about their coffee, I'm very picky about my coffee so I wouldn't be able to tell you if it's good or not. Staff is usually very friendly! read more

Well, lets start off by saying, this is a Waffle House, so what should one expect. Highlight was the server, she was very pleasant and attentive. However, the food delivery is where I knocked them down on my rating. My 8 year old got a waffle. I got a 3 egg breakfast with toast and hash browns. His food was delivered 10 minutes before mine. The restaurant is relatively new and still clean. This was our 3rd or 4th visit. I really wish there was a good "breakfast joint" in the Lake Wylie/Clover area. Anyone have any suggestions? Waffle House is always amazing. My only complaint with this location is that no matter how warm or cold it is outside, it is always UNBEARABLY COLD INSIDE. We come here all times of year, and when it's 55° outside, you walk inside and it's colder than the outside air! There is no amount of fresh hot coffee that can take that chill away. read more

The one or two people that work try their best, but management has given up on this location. Crime tape blocking off tables, not allowing to eat inside, to go orders only. This is becoming a common theme with this location. Just close the doors or post only to go orders on your web site and to the public. I have tried other nearby locations and they have decent staffing. Not sure why this location, can only assume management has given up. Sending a note to corporate office in Atlanta. By far the BEST Waffle House I have ever been to or eaten at. The staff must love their job here because, of all the WH I've been to, this one had the nicest staff. It was clean and felt like an actual place to go eat with your family.
