I've eaten here quite a few times. I never have high expectations for this or any other Waffle House. This one is always pretty crowded. For some reason, the floor is always sticky here too. LOL Their waffles are ok. I always got waffles, steak and eggs.I used to get CRAVINGS for their waffles years ago! If you're a 95're... Waffle Houses are a great place to stop to dine, rest and pottyyyy if you really have2. But I love love love this 1. Would've given 5 Stars but my bestest everest waitress unfortunately had to switch her apron for an IHop apron so I'm bummed out. It's nice to be greeted and served up a good meal there. Typically we walk in and after 1 or 2 words they know if it's a sandwich and coffee day for me and Him or if it's a sit down and have a Big Breakfast morning with the works. My First Waffle House experience and it did not disappoint. In full disclosure, 2 of these stars are for the fight I witnessed in the parking lot. I don't condone violence but I feel this was part of the experience. Like many others, this was a stop on the way home from Baltimore. We waited less than 5 minutes to be seated! The menu is straight forward and CHEAP. I mean like 1950s cheap!!! Moreover, the menu is 95% carbohydrates which is a dream for ratio me. I ordered OJ, a SWEET CREAM waffle, and a side of bacon. Food came out in about 7 minutes. The waffle was amazing, it was sweet and I loved the texture. They provide pads of margarine and there are bottles of syrup on the table. I may smuggle in some kerrygold butter next time to take it up a notch...why not! I didn't love the bacon, flavorless and too crisp for my liking. Going forward, I will not order form the 5% portion of the menu. I will order carbs with a side of carbs so possibly a SWEET CREAM waffle with a side of grits or a SWEET CREAM waffle with a side of hash browns if I'm feeling the vibe. I will definitely be back, to bet on a fight and to eat CARBS!!!!!! read more

One man took the order of the people who came in before us, then instead of taking our order, he went off to do something else. There were ten employees bustling about (I counted them) but not a single one acknowledged our existence for six minutes. One lady finally said "he'll take your order soon.". Amazing service, great waffles and then some. Visited my brother in Maryland and wanted to have a quick breakfast so my brother took me to The Waffle House close to his home. I was so happy we did this because not only was the waffle so fresh and fluffy, they were GOOD! I had the Sirloin Steak with Hash Browns and boy they were good too... (or maybe I was just really hungry). The service was quick and thank God the line was not that bad that morning. They are open 24/7, rain or shine. I was driving back to New Jersey from Washington DC and I stopped in this Waffle House for lunch. I am a huge fan and we do not have any Waffle House locations in NJ, so I was eager to stop in on my drive home. I entered this location and was instantly greeted and told to sit wherever I liked. Jess or "Jess the Mess" as her name tag read served me and it was a pleasure. She was so welcoming, kind and accommodating. I could not have asked for better service. The food was great- I had a waffle, wheat toast, hash browns, scrambled eggs and sausage. All of the other staff members were very friendly too- Dan was the cook. I wish I lived closer to this location because I would come in often for the great food and service. I'm not sure what everyone else saw in this particular waffle house. I don't normally feel compelled to write a mediocre review unless it was the reviews upon which I based my decision to dine here. Eh, the buttermilk waffles are pretty good but I've had better. This ex Californian prefers Roscoe's! I also noticed that the hash browns were "world famous". Tried those too and mine were nicely crisped on the outside but cold and greasy on the inside. While the waitstaff were nice enough, the place was messy. Tabletops were often left uncleared and unwiped for some time after the customers had left. I suppose I can understand the if it was super busy but at 3pm, it wasn't. read more

Went back Tuesday around 2:00pm. My son and I noticed that it wasn't that many cars in the parking lot so we chose to stop in. We walked in and waited awhile before we were even greeted. We were told to sit anywhere and could not find ONE clean table! There were only 3 tables full, the rest were just dirty. We seen a staff that we had never seen before. We walked towards the windows and a waitress was cleaning a table and remarks with a big sigh that she's trying to "get outta there" to another waitress right in front of my son and I. I start this by saying that we have been to this Waffle House several times in the day time and had a good experience. BUT that was not our experience tonight. This was our first time going at night and it was bad...like really bad! My husband and I walked in and the place was a mess! There was only 1 table clean where we could sit even though only 2 tables and 2 seats were taken. Someone nice says come in and have a sit so we do. We sit there for at least 5 minutes before the waitress comes over and says she'll be with us in just a minute. We have time to look and the menu several times and finally decide what we want to eat, we have time to select songs in the jukebox and listen to 4 songs and we also had time to notice that the couple behind us also had time to look over the menu and sing along with 2 of our selected songs before they decided to leave because they were tired of waiting. Sooooo, FINALLY the waitress comes and wants to take our drink order. *side eye* nah lady! You need to take our entire order lol So, for religious reasons we don't eat pork and I saw 3 Times, THREE TIMES please make sure there is no bacon on the cheesesteak melt but she never wrote it down smh anyways. I'll skip the part where the waitress didn't deliver the food to the right table. So, they deliver the waffle my husband ordered without the rest of his food and he went ahead and ate it because he didn't want it to get cold. Then 10 minutes later when no other food came we got up to leave. Right when we were about to just pay for the waffle they said the food was ready and brought it to us. I get the sandwich and guess what, remember she didn't write down that I said no bacon? There was so much bacon on this sandwich AND the grits were Luke warm. I send it back and like 2 minutes later they bring me a plate and we can see that it's the same sandwich just bacon removed and now it's like warm and the grits are now cold. I send it back. I no longer want it. The lady only charges us for my husbands piece of chicken and then actually gives him the change out of her own pocket so it's an even $3. We will probably go back but definitely not at night and not if that same waitress is there. read more

I am AMAZED at these positive reviews. It was our first (and last) time in a Waffle House. Sat at the counter and watched 8 people in front of us making waffles on a messy, dripping waffle iron, bumping into each other. A sorry presentation. Our meal came ONE ITEM AT A TIME. Here's your hash brown. Three or four minutes later, here's your eggs. Then the waffles, although mine has chocolate chips on it bc the guy messed up. Flat, dry waffle. It was midnight and my husband and I were on the way home from a fancy work party when we decided to stop and grab some food. There were two workers and neither were attentive. No one greeted us or offered us seating. After 5 minutes we found a table ourselves. We had to step over a huge spill on the floor to get to the only open table, due to the rest being covered in dirty dishes. A spill that was still there as we left 45 minutes later. After 7 minutes of seating ourselves we were brought menus and ordered. My husband was brought his food about 18 minutes after ordering, which ordinarily wouldn't be a long wait but we were the only two customers at the time. The wait wasn't an issue to us and can look past that. AFTER they served my husband his meal, they BEGAN cooking mine. We also never received the drinks we ordered. While my husband was eating his food we had to ask for them again. I ordered the All American Special with should come with two eggs, toast, grits (I switched that out for hash browns), sausage, a waffle and your choice of bacon or ham (I choose sausage). When my meal was finally delivered I was handed scrambled eggs and told that the server would bring the toast over soon. I was a little confused about that since I was still waiting on a number of other items. I waited patiently for way too long for toast, optimistically thinking the rest would come with it only to be disappointed by only receiving the toast. Luckily, they noticed this error before they bring us the check and we were only charged for what we received. I have worked in food service for 18 years and I could have dealt with all of this and looked past it without feeling the need to write a negative review. The worst part of our experience, the ordeal that led me to post my first negative review Ever was the Cockroach that crawled across the back of booth seat we were sitting in. At this point I was happy I didn't receive much food because I lost my appetite and wouldn't of been able to eat it. The health and safety issues (cockroaches and spilled juice all over the floor) are very concerning. The servers did not appear to be trained properly either. One server seemed to try and do their best but are not fit for this profession. The other server seemed much more competent to do the tasks at hand if they put effort in and tried but sadly they spent time talking with a friend/family member and making trips outside. Another table came in while we were there, the second server walked past their table 4 times, while the first server was making their food, and never bothered to get their drinks. They were getting their food as we left, still without drinks. A lot of attention and changed need to be made at this establishment otherwise I'd suggest it being forced to close. read more

Worst Waffle House ever. And that is saying a lot because I have been to a lot of Waffle Houses. The cooks are undesirable. The two people cooking/working behind the counter burnt the toast on my Texas Cheese Melt. The two of them looked at it and laughed about it then tried to serve it to me. It was completely black on the bottom and burnt in spots on top. Everything else tasted like they have not cleaned the grill all day. The place was filthy. Nice and clean Waffle House. The waiters and cooks on duty were high school / college age boys who were very friendly but not in a creepy way to my female friend and me. They realized we were novices to the Waffle House Experience so they kindly explained things to us. Suggested we get the All Star Special since it had everything that we wanted to try. Consistently but not overbearingly checked up on us. Refilled coffee. Made friendly conversation with us about how people from New Jersey love Waffle Houses and they always take pictures with the menu. We did no such thing though we did take pictures of ourselves in the Waffle House (and with the Casa de Waffle sauce XD). We got there we had to wait about 10mins before we were seated but the host was great and very happy. Once we were seated our food was ordered and served within 10mins. Never a dull moment at the waffle house, Im positive this is not my first time at this location. I tend to not expect much the food is very inexpensive yet very good and the set up is very open. I get the same thing every time, "all star special" ! The best value for the money. This time it was very busy , standing room only but within 10 minutes we were seated and served. You have to get use to the kitchen being right next to the tables and being able to hear all the conversations and joking from the staff. My initial thought was they are doing more socializing than working but then I was just glad that they were having a great time doing their jobs. With the speed at which our food was delivered it was OBVIOUS they were doing more working that chatting. Our server was Brit and she was awesome. She saw the table of four road tripping girls, immediately offered to split the checks and took care of everything. I appreciate her efficiency and effort to give us good service yet keep it moving.
