The ambiance is typically the same. Very cozy, country vibes. It can get loud. I'd say the average customer is a family with small children or an older couple. I love the shopping part because while you wait for a table, you can see all the holiday decor, clothes, kids toys, skincare, etc.. I loved my waitress. She was so attentive and had a bright personality. The iced s'mores latte came without graham cracker shavings which I didn't even realize. She brought some out on the side in a small cup which was very thoughtful. Momma's pancake breakfast comes with 3 pancakes, 2 eggs cooked however you like, and a choice between sausage and bacon. I wish the pancakes were cooked a tad longer. They were inconsistent. Some were tanner than others and not as crispy on the sides. I did love how the maple syrups were hot and in glass containers. The sausage patties were dry in my opinion. The iced s'mores latte was diluted. I was hoping to get a little sugar rush from it but again, it wasn't as strong. Overall, I love Cracker Barrel. It was my grandparents' favorite restaurant so it definitely holds a lot of memories for me.

Basket of bread. I would have liked to sourdough to have toasted better.

My wife, daughter, and I were traveling north on 95 on a Friday morning and stopped in for breakfast. The restaurant is conveniently located close to the off-ramp. Parking in front is limited, but many spots are in the back. After wandering through the store, we were promptly seated but ignored for almost ten minutes before a server finally arrived to take our drink order. Our drinks were served promptly, but we never saw that server or any other server again. My wife went to the kitchen to check on our order after 30 minutes passed. Our food arrived shortly after the kitchen visit, with mixed results. Most of the food was cold, and the toast hadn't even turn the slightest brown. The bacon I had requested to be floppy was the highlight for me. My scrambled eggs were okay, but the hash browns needed more cooking. My wife's grits were very runny, and her eggs were cold. She did enjoy her side of ham. My daughter had no complaints about her eggs and steak tips. Our visit was a big disappointment, and we were there for well over an hour.

Great service by Jessica on this great visit. I've visited this location at least 21 times in the past. It was my closest CB, although almost an hour away. Above average service and quality food most times. My son and I visited this rainy morning, and our yum food brought the sunshine !! I ordered the Catfish Meal, and he did the Southern Fried Chicken Meal!! All was well. We'll definitely return when able.

Our poor friend and his Country Fried Steak

I arrived at the cracker barrel on 1440 handlir street in high spirits this sunday evening. however, with no warning whatsoever, i was served the most horrendous meal of my young life. Before I delve into the the food quality I would like to note that our server Erika was the single saving grace of the establishment, had it not been for her I would have demoted my rating to a 0. Shes perfect. My destain began when I accidentally ordered sides from the premium menu, a mistake I blame on the lack of indication that these items come with an extra charge of $2.69. Unfortunately my troubles didnt end here, in fact they were just beginning. When my food arrived I felt a deep anxiety. I didnt know what to make of the mess that arrived in front of me. Erika noted that the chefs were "doing what they wanted" and apologized for a few small mistakes with our food, this was the last moment of normalcy before it all got bad. I ordered the nashville hot chicken, and while the portion was seemingly significant the actual substance of the meal was incredibly sub par. The chicken (that was mostly bones and fat) coupled with the scent of the surf and turf, and the sight of the chicken fried steak created an inescapable nauseating atmosphere. I did not order the chicken fried steak, however I tried it and I can say without hesitation that it is a violation of nature. My heart breaks for the cow that gave its life for that atrocity. Among the "premium" sides one stands out in particular. The chicken noodle soup looked like clam chowder with soggy french fries inside, it did not taste any better than it looked and had a strange aftertaste that I can only describe as unholy. I received the check and went to the front to pay. The cashier, possibly noticing my eyes swimming with despair, asked how my meal was. I thought for a moment, mustered a forced smile, and said very good, after all that poor woman had nothing to do with the horrors my friends and I endured. I strolled out into the cold winter air, with a sinking feeling in my chest, knowing I would never be the same again. -Zacs friend Collin

A place to bring the whole family with family sized portions. The sampler I got was absolutely huge the fried chicken was great, chicken and dumplings tasted like my grandma made them. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and I still had plenty of food to take home. The biscuits were straight fire paired with the butter and jelly, but wonderful all on their own. Mimosas packed quite a punch and the salad was loaded. Our server was fast and attentive juggling multiple tables all while making sure we were set for our meal. With antiques hanging all over the place and a few fun games at the table it's like your transported back to a much simpler time.

Easy and quick service for a large group that I was in. Chicken was fried to perfection and the the French toast was just right. Not soggy at all. Fairly quiet and enjoyable with the amount of people that was in here.

Must be a busy weekend. They ran out of children size cups. They cannot accommodate side salads with meals this weekend. I asked for a spoon with my coffee, none available. Had to stir with my fork. I asked for a straw for my water, waitress had to check for extra straws. Asked for beer sting chicken tenders, cannot make-- out of sauce. My mashed potatoes were not hot in center. Must be a busy weekend.

Consistent and predictable. Just what you want for breakfast, when traveling or just have some time to kill. Coffee refilled continuously (and with a smile) Grits are good any time of day. They are introducing new pancake and other options. Nice thing about sitting down and doing these reviews is realizing that Cracker Barrel is better than I give them credit for. It doesn't just need to be for when you are on the road, or need a decision the whole family can get behind. Gotta give them credit for quality, value, and fun.

Probably one of our favorite places to go with the grandparents. Loads of parking. Great food portions. Kind servers. Cozy environment.

No frills, just good food. The young ladies working the counter are always really nice too. I was introduced to Richard's during covid and they quickly became one of my favorites for a good fish sandwich. I typically go with the small Icedock Sandwich meal because the original size with 2 pieces of fish is huge, but great for the price. American cheese, tartar sauce, a well seasoned piece of fried fish, and a soft roll... I'm sold! And the piping hot fries are some of the best. As a french fanatic, I know. I recently tried their Half & Half soup (half crab soup, half cream of crab) and it was delicious. Good chunks of tender crab meat and that creamy, tomatoe soup base blend was quite tasty. Although I'm partial to Richard's fish sandwich, I'm going to give some other menu items a try next time, because I'm sure it will be well worth it.

I didn't know about Southern Blues until my work ordered it for our holiday party. It was AMAZING…read more I then ordered it for my daughter's grad party. Everyone agreed their chicken is outstanding - people were actually talking about it. Native Baltimoreans were saying it was the best chicken they had had in B-more. We also got the mac and cheese, cornbread, and the giant fruit platter-all of which were great. The fruit platter was fresh, and the fruit was ripe. The gentleman who coordinated my order (Vernon?) was patient and made the order easy. He helped me figure out how much to order and how to get and use the Sternos. On the day of the party, the food was delivered right on time and tightly wrapped to prevent spills and keep the hot food hot. The young man who delivered the food was equally as helpful and friendly as Vernon. Highly recommend this Baltimore gem.

The flavor is there but the seafood is not. The string beans and sweet potatoes taste straight from a can. No condiments provided for the fried fish and chicken and the servers could not tell the difference between a breast or thigh. The baked and fried chicken was dry and extremely large except for the wings. I was really hoping to have a better experience as this was through catering but my review remains the same. It's definitely giving the southern blues alright.
