    Cinnamon Raisin French Toast

Visited Nautilus Diner after church on a Sunday morning. The place was bustling with business, but we were seated quickly. It has the typical diner vibe but is very clean and modern. The menu is extensive, offering a wide variety of options. I ordered the cinnamon raisin French toast, scrambled eggs with American cheese, and turkey sausage links. Torn between the regular and cinnamon French toast, I asked the server for a recommendation. She suggested the cinnamon French toast but jokingly said not to hold it against her if I didn't like it. In hindsight, that caveat might have been a red flag--I didn't enjoy the French toast. While it had raisins visible, it lacked the cinnamon and raisin flavor I was expecting. That said, the service was friendly and prompt, which makes me want to return. I'd just choose something else from the menu next time. A standout for me was the turkey sausage links, which many places don't offer--definitely a big plus and one of the main reasons I'd come back.

Great food. Fast service and friendly environment. Clean and spacious seating. Super clean bathroom too. Parking lot is big. Food was generous portions. I had the quesadilla. It came with a small bowl of soup which was very good too. I had crab soup

Cheeseburger w/o the bun delux meal

Hubby needed a lunch do over, so we came here after he got off from work. I ordered the cheeseburger (provolone cheese) without the bun deluxe meal without the coleslaw and onion rings. Hubby had the Italian platter which came with spaghetti and fried eggplant, shrimp, chicken parmesan. Food was good and service was great. We both ordered the sweet tea, but hubby decided to add on a Moscow Mule. We really enjoy dining here.

The food is horrible. The service isn't bad but either the food is too salty or doesn't have flavor. And it gets over cooked.

I had a $20 chicken parm sub that was rubbery. Others had an egg sandwich with cold ingredients. Way overpriced for very subpar food.

Clandestino has grown up, literally. What began as a small operation in Frederick has moved into a…read morelarger space, and the expansion suits them well. This is Puerto Rican pitorro, also known as ron cañita, made with care and intention rather than gimmickry. Many local liquor stores now carry the brand, and it is well worth picking up a bottle, but visiting the distillery is an experience in itself. The founder is a fellow Puerto Rican born retired military member, a background I share, and like me, he has put down roots in Maryland. That story is reflected clearly in the brand's own framing, "Puerto Rican born, Maryland made." The space feels grounded and unpretentious, and that sensibility carries through to the hospitality. We arrived late on a Saturday and were still welcomed warmly, never rushed. We were taken care of by the founder's daughter, who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. She guided us through a flight that included the traditional pitorro, almond, pineapple, coffee, coconut chai, and several seasonal offerings. The flavors were thoughtful and well balanced; even the infused expressions retained a clear rum backbone rather than drifting into novelty. We enjoyed them enough to leave with several bottles. This is artisanal pitorro done right, rooted in Puerto Rican tradition and confidently made in Maryland. Buying it locally is convenient, but going to the distillery is where the people, the story, and the spirit fully come together.

This local speakeasy has quickly moved its way to the top of my list…read more I love the ease of parking, safe neighborhood, and spacious speakeasy space. Always great service by bar manager Charlie, fantastic food and beverage menu and options. My favs so far are the grilled wings and chicken tortilla soup. The drinks are pretty awesome, and Charlie the Great can alter beverages to your preference if you prefer. This is an overall mezcal bar, but they have other libations as well. My fav is John Updike's Old Fashioned. My son ordered and loved the Strawberry Gin & Tonic. This establishment is a great conversation starter, and I look forward to returning asap.
