waffle house, i love you. specifically, though, caleb is the only server that you could ever want. i promise. my experiences at this waffle house have been somewhat uneven in terms of service, with a noticeable lack of consistency in diligence among some of the staff. but caleb is our breakfast-for-lunch godsend! he's funny, constantly attentive, and sharp as a tack. should he move on, an extraordinarily valuable asset will be lost. quite frankly, it is because of him alone that i continue to return and feel comfortable leaving five stars. in terms of ambiance; i have been coming to this waffle house since i was a little kid, and the only thing that's really changed for me is that i'm tall enough to sit comfortably at the bar. it's a waffle house. it has the necessities; it's always open. appropriately clean. a parking lot that has enough craters to make you wonder about medina meteor strikes, but the heart of hot, delicious diner food and unmistakably perfect hashbrowns. what i wouldn't give for an all-star breakfast each day. if you're in the area, you should stop by for me. read more

My friend got the loaded hash browns and a sausage sandwich I haven't eaten here for more than 10 years I got a chocolate chip waffle and a blueberry nougat waffle. I didn't expect them to dump the chocolate chips on top of the cooked waffle. They gave me lots of butter like I asked and they did have sugar free syrup. It was ok - my leftovers tasted good. Well let me preface this. I have eaten at MANY Waffle Houses across the south and Midwest (AL, MS, LA, TX, OK, MO, AR, TN, KY, etc) MANY. TONS. This is my go to always. One of my favorite meals of ALL TIME. Chicken Melt, 2 orders hashbrowns topped with Chili. Very simple and perfect if done correctly. Just cheese on the Chicken Melt. So it had been quite a few years since I had had one. Found myself in Medina OH and saw Waffle House. I went there with high expectations but figured there's no way up here it would still be that good after all those years up here none the less in Yankee country. Soooooooo, the vibe was the same, the staff was great, and the food.............. PERFECT!!! I couldn't believe it. The sort of garlic butter that the chicken is marinated in is still perfect. Had to fuel up was at a military burial service with mom, since it was a hour drive grabbed something to eat, I haven't been to a Waffle House in awhile, we decided for a booth, We sat in Wanda's area she had us wait for a second to wipe the table & seating off which were really appreciated, she introduced herself & greeted us with a lovely smile & made us feel so welcomed. Sheer got our drink order coffee for mom & water for me, she gave us ample time to look over the menu which mon just got the 2 eggs city ham, hash w/onions & white toast I had the same minus onions but add the waffle. Our meals were very delicious, the waffle was very crispy on the outside & inside it was soft with a hint of vanilla I tasted, my eggs was cooked exactly his I love it over medium, mom just scrambled, I've tasted mom's hash w/onions I tell you I should've gotten it next time I'll order mines just like that. Wanda got busy but kept replenishing our drinks before we could've even finish it which is a plus when a server does that, our over all experience was very memorable with Wanda being our server, there was a tall black gentleman whoo came up to us after we were done asking how our meal was? Stopped by Waffle House recently and had a pecan waffle with a side of hash browns. I think it's so cool that you can customize your hash browns with just about anything they serve. To start, I fully understand Waffle House is more of a sit down and eat place, but with take out orders being common now a days, there should be no excuse for how bad our take out experience was. Our order was placed, waited, we were charged the wrong amount, then the lady was super confused on why we wanted to be charged the right amount. Then, we were given the wrong order and thankfully noticed when we got in the car. When we took it back in to get our correct order, they gave the guy whose order we received to him (we told the guy to probably have them re make it since it had been taken out, in our car, etc). The whole experience was just not a good one and again, like I said, I understand maybe they don't do a lot of take out orders, but don't have that as an option, if the service is way beyond horrible and you can't handle it. read more

The yellow plastic sign is a harbinger: this will not be fine dining. I know, I know. People love the place because it is cheap. Very cheap. If you only had the coins you found lodged between the seat and the center console, they would still roll out a full breakfast for you. WITH the standard three percent tip. So, here's the tradeoff: The Good? Price! It is cheap. Inexpensive. Downright stingy. If you can't afford Waffle House, chances are you'll never, ever see this review, because you'll be too busy re-writing your cardboard sign or standing by the exit ramp. Have I mentioned it doesn't cost much to eat here? The Bad? Everything else. They save money in so many ways. Cleanliness. Food quality. Lighting. Menus. Employees. Wonderful food and staff any time of the day you go! I love how they are opened 24 hours and everything is custom made fresh no matter the hour! We purposely travel to this location to get to enjoy all of the wonderful food and people and have become regulars. They have all different types of foods, not just breakfast, to try and also many different menu options. It is a very comforting environment like a 50's diner with a modern jukebox that takes credit cards. Also having the option of choosing where you would like to sit is more comforting than having to request a booth or table. All of the food tastes like you made it in your own kitchen instead of a plastic or oily taste! Very good and filling especially for long road trips. I guess that's why they are so famous for being a road trip restaurant. The leftovers reheat very well and I personally love the grits and hashbrowns! read more

We had the two egg breakfast, one scramble and one over medium. I'd suggest not getting scrambled, they just don't come out nicely on the flat top grill. The over medium came out perfectly. We also got smothered hash browns that were delicious, and a side of sausage gravy over biscuits which was lights out tasty. I've never had a bad Waffle House experience but this Waffle House is seriously above and beyond. The staff is amazing. Food is out quick, cooked perfectly, and served with a smile. The servers check in every few minutes to get you anything you need and are extremely polite. It's clean too, doesn't feel so much like eating at a greasy spoon diner. Wanda was our waitress and probably the best I've ever had, treats everyone like family, employees and customers. She keeps the whole place running smoothly and smiles the whole time. On our way back from a night of bar hopping in Cleveland we were looking for a late night savior for drunk munchies. iHop's were all packed of course so we drove about 20 minutes outside of the city down 71 and low and behold like an angel descending from heaven we see a Waffle House sign lit up like a glowing invitation from the Gods. So we go to pull in and we get pulled over by a sheriff out of nowhere, granted we had a sober driver so no worries, he approaches the car, asks us where we came from and where we're going and we all tell him we're starving and he was really cool and told us to enjoy our night and drove off. Shout outs to the Medina sheriff department for that one. We made it into the Waffle House and were seated immediately, it was practically empty but there were a few customers. We ordered bacon cheeseburgers, BLT's, and waffles all together, the waitress threw the BLT's in for free! Amazing. Judging by my current state the food was a 10 but who really knows. On the spectrum of Waffle Houses, this one probably lands somewhere in the middle in terms of quality and service. We went in on a Saturday around lunch time. Service was attentive but a little slow to clear tables and really "hustle" even as there was a line forming. We sat at the counter so had a full view. The washing sink is right in front of the customers at the counter. Soapy water was being splashed everywhere, which was rather unappetizing and unsanitary. I ended up having to wipe away dishwater that splashed onto the counter where we ate. The staff of about 5-6 people work constantly but they're not all very careful with how they do things. There are small spills everywhere in the kitchen that nobody bothered to clean up. The waffle station was an absolute mess. Speaking of waffles, ours were a little disappointing. They were way too thin and flat. Bacon was fine (half fat, but it's expected). Raisin toast was burnt on one side. Eggs were cooked to order. Hash browns were crispy but flavorless. Coffee was watered down and flavorless. Not sure if this location ever followed Covid protocols but people were filled in every seat. No obvious ventilation but the AC was on full blast. None of the staff wore masks except for one waitress. It would have been less concerning except all the staff chatted constantly, even when they had customers' food in front of them. read more

As far as waffle houses go this was right there with the better ones. Of course it's Waffle House though, you go here to get a big down and dirty cheap breakfast. This isn't your gourmet brunch. I'd take a Detroit Coney Island breakfast over Waffle House most of the time but when I travel south I like to visit a Waffle House, it just reminds me of those great hung over mornings when I was stationed in Florida. read more

Back in the day, when I used to travel all over the country, I would look forward to my visits to the south. Warmth and sunshine in the winter .... fantastic BBQ ... and Waffle House. I made it a point to stop in at least once per visit for breakfast. Now they've expanded and one is even located not that far from my home. So, before I voted today, I decided to treat myself to a Waffle House breakfast. Of course, their breakfast is served all day long, so matter what time you wake up they'll be waiting for you. They still look the same, inside and out. I grabbed a seat at the counter and checked out the place mat/menu. My eyes immediately went to the All Star Breakfast. Get this: for under $10.00, including tax, I had coffee, a waffle, two eggs (over easy), toast, hash browns and three slices of bacon. And since they cook everything in front of you, you know everything is fresh. The eggs were nice and runny, perfect for slopping up with the toast. Bacon, cooked under that metal press thing they use, was crisp, as were the hash browns. I would have preferred the waffle been left in the maker a bit longer to crisp the outsides up some more. But, after smothering it in butter and syrup, I was happy. Just like old times! I noticed other reviewers complained about the service, but I couldn't have been more pleased with it. They were attentive and friendly (refilled my coffee cup twice), and checked in on me numerous times. When I heard that my girlfriend had not been to one I knew I had to take her to one! Waitress sucked she was the only one with out a name tag. She was very rude.
