Wally Waffles in Ohio has become a must-stop every time we visit. This time we stopped at the one in Tallmadge, my daughter is obsessed with her go-to blueberry waffles, and they never disappoint. It's quick eats with cozy diner vibes, fair prices, and food that always hits. Shoutout to our server Madison, she was pleasant, attentive, and nothing short of amazing. Give whomever trained her a raise after you give her one. That kind of service is rare these days. It's giving IHOP energy, but with way better waffles and local charm. And as someone who's picky about diner coffee, because let's be real, it's usually trash, Wally Waffles surprised me the coffee was actually on point. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5, is because it's not the cleanest place, but still clean enough to enjoy a solid meal without worry. Food and service are A1. Thanks again, Madison. I just had the worst experience at Wally waffles Talmadge, Ohio. I ordered a side order of Wally fries in which the picture shows that it includes bacon. I was told that the picture was wrong and basically too bad they don't care not their problem. I will never visit this location again. I spoke with the manager and she was no help at all. Chicken Delight Sandwich was fantastic!! It's loaded with onions & mushrooms!! Elvis Waffle was also outstanding !!! The loaded fries were worth the up charge. I had a very disappointing experience at the Tallmadge location this morning. Last week, I called ahead to ask about bringing in a group of 18 people. I was told that while reservations aren't accepted, Thursday mornings are typically slow and that I should call the morning of our visit so they could be prepared. I followed those instructions and called at 7:00 a.m. on the day of our event, only to be met with a very curt and unhelpful response. I was told they do not take any advance notice for large groups and that I should simply arrive early. I arrived at 7:40 a.m. The restaurant was nearly empty, yet the employee on duty refused to arrange tables until the entire group had arrived. We were on a tight schedule and needed to be finished by 9:00 a.m. Even though there were very few customers, we were told the tables had to remain open "in case they got busy." When seating was finally arranged, our group was split into separate tables rather than being seated together. At the end of the meal, I paid a $274 bill with $300 in cash. When I requested a receipt showing proof of payment, I was told that a receipt reflecting payment could only be issued if I paid by card. As a result, I left without documentation confirming payment or change given, which prevents me from being reimbursed by my employer. Our group spent nearly $300 during what appeared to be a slow morning. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism, inconsistent communication, and poor customer service made this an experience I will not repeat. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, especially when it comes to handling larger groups and basic customer service standards. read more

Lots of corn syrup and processed food here. The waffle was topped with canned high fructose corn syrup fruit awful. No real syrup offered for an up charge. My egg white omelette was good but very small for $13.59 and the cheese wasn't melted. I asked for hot water and it had a coffee residue. When we were seated the table still had food on it from the previous customer. I won't be back. I would have given 1 star if the menu didn't indicate that they actually use fresh eggs. read more

My boyfriend and I came back after 2.5 years and the food was amazing! We hadn't been here in a while because we honestly forgot this place existed (and because it is a little out of the way). The waffle was amazing; we got the Elvis which has peanut butter and bacon strips inside and is topped with bananas and honey. And we also got a breakfast platter with extra eggs and sausage! Nice breakfast stop, just wanted Waffles and a cup of coffee before hitting the interstate. Moden decor, friendly servers and easy to find. The Waffles were large and fluffy, decided to add scrambled eggs and it was a nice breakfast. Coffee was fine but had to keep asking for a refill. Clean dining areas and rest rooms. Got lucky and walked in and got seated immediately. Will definitely return the next time I'm in the Akron, Ohio area. read more

I saw the cheeseburger on the menu and went rogue, lol, we were there for the wonderful waffles but I couldn't resist! I was so very happy I did the burger to say the least was fantastic! I visited on a Thursday morning on October 1, 2020 during Covid19. I ate at Wally Waffle and ordered the Chicken (bone-in wings) and Waffle. I felt real safe. Only three people were allowed at the check-in area. There is plexiglass between booths that customers are being seated at. When I visited there were no customers seated across from other customers. All staff wore masks at all times. I witnessed tables being sanitized between customers. The wait staff collected payment at your table and brought change to you. The chicken wings and waffle was fabulous. The wings were crispy and the chicken was tender and juicy. The size of the wings were probably on the average size or a tiny bit below average. The meat fell off the bone and there wasn't much of any meat attached to the ends like you sometimes get. The wings can be served with Texas Pete hot sauce. The waffle was okay. It was light and airy. I put only one portion of syrup on my waffles and they soaked it up. It was slightly soaked which meant to me that the amount of batter to make the waffles wasn't substantial. I did feel full after eating the waffle and chicken wings but I don't think one waffle would have been enough. That is disappointing to me. I really like the Don Drumm wall art. There is a huge sun on one wall and a smaller squirrel on another wall. That tells me that Wally Waffle understand the community and is invested in the community. The staff were super friendly and helpful and very attentive to the needs of the customers. I was really impressed with their service. I would return to this Wally Waffle. read more

So we take our grandkids to Wally's a lot as they love it. However we have 2 family members with celiac disease who need to be really careful about gluten so they have never been able to eat there. Today we asked our waitress who was very helpful in telling us what was safe and what wasn't. So my daughter was able to have bacon and wally fries and felt great afterward! the food in this place is SO good!! the workers are so sweet and brought our food out almost immediately, my waffle had exactly what i wanted and the lady serving was kind enough to get my sister a new hot chocolate with no whipped cream. the seating was quick, about a 10-15 minute wait and we did wait inside. the bill was about $40 for 3 people which is a great price for what we got! overall i love wally waffle and come here a lot with my family, i would recommend. read more

Heard this is one of the best breakfast places in Ohio, managed to get a table today as was pretty underwhelmed. The place was full so the wait time for our food was surprisingly short considering how many orders the place probably had to process. The food however, wasn't that great. The french toast was bland and the entire plate (the literal plate) was smothered in powdered sugar. The breakfast sausage also had an odd taste to them unlike common sausage links. The waitress was nice enough, I'm sure she was busy with other tables. Would of been nice to have the chance to get a refill though haha. Every time we've been to Wally's, the food has been outstanding. Their Belgium waffle is the best I've ever had. It's crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside and very light. Their chicken wings are so good that I've often ordered them as my breakfast meat. The girls really hustle on the floor. The only thing that disappoints me about this restaurant is the restroom. This is a busy restaurant and there need to be more than 2 toilets. Other than that, the servers are wonderful, the food is amazing and it's definitely worth checking out. read more
