When in the south, you have to do Waffle House. Its been a while since we have ventured out for breakfast at a Waffle House and was pleasantly surprised. We remember the greasy spoon restaurant and maybe a bit larger restaurant, not much bigger but bigger. We only had to wait about 5 minutes till a booth opened up. The rest is just the same. the plastic menu, the waitress at the inside of the booth, and the yelling of our order. So much fun. It was cleaner than I remember which is a good thing. This was a small location with a counter top and about a dozen or so tables. The service was appreciated as the food came out in a timely matter. I had a waffle with peanut butter (Around $4). To my surprise, the peanut butter was of the chip variety, which was very appetizing. They melted nicely into the waffle. The waffle was light and tasty. It could have been cooked a little longer I thought. I also tried their smothered hash browns, which came with onions. The onions were not cooked all the way through which was not ideal. The sausage was also tasted and that was overcooked. Will I go back? Probably. read more

Haven't been to a Waffle House in years... most of my experience at Waffle House's up and down 95 have been late night visits and usually well imbibed. My brother in law and I went to North Port on a Saturday morning and stopped in for breakfast. The place was packed, this is a new restaurant and everyone is still enjoying that new restaurant feeling. Montgomery is a nice young man who did a fine job of seating guests even though it was a bit chaotic that morning, be patient everyone gets to eat... Skyler was a delight, she was very friendly and was on top of things. All the staff is well organized considering the mad house an early Saturday morning can be for breakfast. Always enjoy watching the chefs do their thing as the orders were called to them. It's like a dinner show. If you've never been to a Waffle House, go and experience the ambiance and if you're a late nighter you'll definitely have a meal to satisfy that "craving" and you'll have a good time too. We'll be back for both breakfast and a late night visit.... To the reviewer who complained that they don't "answer the d*** phone". If you actually went there you'd see why, they're too busy serving in person customers to worry about the darn phone! read more

Never thought I'd say this - but this place is pretty darn good. The waffle was awesome - got blueberry nougat. Bacon is fantastic. Coffee is okay but they keep it filled up- it could be hotter in my opinion. The service is awesome super friendly servers. It gets pretty busy but if you get there early you will beat the crowd. There was a guy standing at the door I thought at first it was security but then saw he was there expecting a crowd about 10am and you have to put your name on the list. I also found out they have a 'secret menu ' that includes strip steak and omelettes and other items ! You gotta ask for it though. Overall i love it! read more

The service here is awful. Ran by teenagers at night who always mess up my order and dismiss me because I'm the same age as them. One time I had to wait 20 mins before anyone even acknowledged I was in there and still messed up my food after repeating multiple times what I wanted. Then they have blatant very unprofessional conversations right in front of you as if you aren't there. I literally can't wait to get out of there I get it to go every time. I've been to 43 of the 50 states and most have Waffle Houses. This one is fairly new and the staff here is very on point! My order was taken right away, served in an appropriate amount of time and it was perfect. I usually order grilled chicken breast with grilled onion on top with eggs over easy, not a hard order but most times something is somehow forgotten. I was checked on by the manager several times and by the cooks. It was Halloween night and they were busy, but still took care to check on customers and make sure orders were correct. Went there at 4 am ( sat morning on 02/11/2023) Pulled into the parking lot and there was a girl customer inside the restaurant standing on the tables inside and the workers did not seem to care. ( come to find out they where all friends and there girls where hanging out there). Additionally after going inside and seeing that it looked like the place had not been cleaned in over a day ( food and trash on the floor under the tables). Me and my family then sat down and while waiting for the food, the worker with her hair died pink in the front and the tall guy with a man bun talked about the female customers "boobs" and talked about there boyfriends "penis" and then the customers and workers began showing each other pictures as well as the tall guy with the man bun showing the customers his stretch marks as we where eating. This is truly the truck stop stripper hang out of a restaurant and will be sending this to the Florida health department and the Florida department of business. Most disgusting place anyone could eat, i would rather eat off the floor in a NYC subway. read more

It's real! It's here! It's finally opened! North Port has a Waffle House!!! I came on a very busy Sunday morning on their opening week, but managed to snag a seat at the counter with my boyfriend. Service was with a smile and our food came out quick and hot. I observed the staff working together and getting everything prepared really efficiently. This particular store is awesome. The servers and cooks are attentive and friendly. Food is great. Bathrooms are clean. The only negative is they keep the juke box volume so low it can't be heard. I asked them to turn it up and they said they have been told they are not allowed to adjust the volume. I asked for a refund and they returned my money. No hassle. If mgmt doesn't want the juke box, they should get rid of it or unplug it. Makes no sense to keep it operational with the volume on 0. read more
