2 crepes with cottage cheese filling, topped with fruit

My husband and I have been going to Little Good Times Diner and have not ever been disappointed. Today, I had a serving of 2 crepes filled with cottage cheese and smothered with blueberries, strawberries and pineapple as well as a rich blueberry and strawberry sauce. Very good presentation, delicious and filling! Affordable and shareable at $11.00, too. Very clean restaurant with so many choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Service is also consistently good.

A lot of good times had at this little diner. The food was outstanding and had very large portions. The servers were very kind and on top of everything. There was indoor and outdoor seating available. Our server brought us plenty of water and four baskets of hot and delicious rolls. There were many choices on the menu from Mexican to Italian to sandwiches to breakfast to desserts etc. This little local diner is a great find! I would definitely recommend this for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!Everyone enjoyed their food and we would like to come back next time we are in the area! Our party of seven ordered: Eggplant Parmesan dinner with salad Roasted turkey dinner Split pea soup Burgers Chicken salad melt Chili Loads of rolls Cheese and mushroom enchiladas w/ rice and beans and chips/salsa

An excellent sandwich Before I did the trek to Punta Gorda for lunch I had checked out Yelp. Recent reviews are very positive and spoke highly of their Reuben from their special menu, and their burgers. I can certainly find something to eat at this place. Little Good Times Diner is located in a shopping center and was easy to find. Out front was a long table with a group of about 18 people. I stepped inside and was relieved to see it wasn't packed and was shown to a table. Looking out a window towards the parking lot and this large table, I couldn't really see the restaurant behind me to know if they had a specials board or something. When my server stopped by I asked about the Reuben and learned they did have it today, so that's was I ordered. I mention the large group only because my sandwich took a little long to be brought to me, which I fully understand because the group got their food while I was waiting. Busy kitchen. As for my sandwich, it was definitely worth the 15 minutes or so wait. This was one of the better Reubens I have had in some time. Some assembly required, the thousand island dressing came in a separate container. That actually worked out well, I used any remaining dressing to dip some of my fries. There was a generous amount of grilled slices of corned beef, making it an excellent sandwich. Service was casual and comfortable, I felt like I was treated like a regular. The bill was dropped off before I ran out of food, making it easy for me to pay at the register and leave when I was done. A good time, a good meal, was had by me.

This is a little hidden gem. The service is always on point and efficient. My favorite thing to get on the menu is the calamari.

You know they are a good breakfast spot when people are waiting at 6:15 for doors to open. We had…read morebreakfast here a few years ago and enjoyed it; wanted to go back but we don't eat breakfast often. Prices were higher this time, understandably. They are still better priced on a basic breakfast than other places nearby. I wanted to try their eggs Benedict even though I've only ever had it maybe 2-3 times in my life! I'm not a good person to judge since I'm not really sure what hollandaise should taste like! It was more tangy tart than I expected. The eggs were cooked the way they should be and the ham was thick. In my memory, it should've had a stronger ham flavor, as I think Canadian bacon is the traditional meat and I was hoping for that. But even eating a piece of the thick ham by itself, I couldn't taste a salty smoked ham flavor. While I found that disappointing, I couldn't take a star away because visually it looked great, and I imagine a lot of people would love to see that thick slice of ham even if it is too mild! Don't judge it by my photo because I broke my yolks and stirred them up before I remembered to take a photo. The grits (my choice of side) were just like I like them. My husband got a 2 eggs breakfast with home fries (?) sausage and toast. It was a full plate of food and he enjoyed it. They have home made strawberry jam (yum!) and I will for sure get breakfast with toast or biscuits next time just so I can have some of that jam. I did put a little bit of jam on a couple bites of my English muffin from under my Benedict. The coffee mug was tall so my husband appreciated that; and the friendly & attentive server, Melissa, filled it before empty, as needed. We will be back "sooner than later" hopefully, because there's more I want to try on their menu. I do recommend going here for breakfast especially if you are an early bird or find yourself out and about very early for some reason like we were, and need a breakfast. I think they might get crowded quickly, so early is better. Note that their hours were not accurate on the iPhone maps app - I submitted correct hours and it's pending approval. However I used the website hours and one of their days I think it was Sunday - was showing closed at 1 but it's actually 1:30.

The meatloaf was very good and came with a bbq glaze and some bbq sauce on the two slices. The mashed potatoes are real, you can tell because they leave the skins on! My wife also had an order of the potato pancakes with applesauce. Those were fabulous! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, done beautifully. They also provide a small bowl of applesauce which was very good and we appreciated the amount. I had tow biscuits with gravy, two scrambled eggs, and hash browns. In my opinion, they have the best biscuits and gravy in the area. Gravy has plenty of flavor and the biscuits are soft and flaky on the inside, yum. Chasity was our server and she was fantastic! Got our order right, checked back to make sure everything was good, and offered good conversation.

We met the owner Ali who works so hard to make sure each diner has the perfect experience. Our server Corinne was outstanding, as well as the rest of the staff we encountered. The menu is vast and will please any palate. The yum yum shrimp was a tasty, spicy moist appetizer that anyone would enjoy. My strip steak was seasoned to perfection with mashed potatoes and seasoned veggies. My husband loved his baby back ribs. Large bar area but also suitable for families. They also have a robot that delivers a portion of the meal which added to the dining experience. Lots of luscious desserts should you save room. Only open 6 weeks but with service and food this good I suspect once the word gets out how great this place is, good luck getting in.

This particular diner had something else I was interested in, a robot food runner. My breakfast of choice was their Meat Lover's Omelet, an omelet that had cheddar cheese, cubes of ham, some ground sausage, and included in there someplace were little pieces of bacon. As far as omelets go, this one was average, nothing out of the ordinary. They didn't have their Home Fries, so my side was hash browns, which are almost designed to be uniformly average. 41 Diner has a definite diner look from the outside, inside didn't have neon or chrome but it's a large comfortable place not unlike a favorite diner. It was almost empty when I stopped in. My service was great and the food didn't take long at all to arrive. As for the robot, I didn't get to see it in action. Because they weren't really busy and I was a single diner i.e. not many plates to bring to my table, my food was delivered normally. At the end of my meal I did ask about the robot and learned they do use it. They can load it up and have it go to any table. The server will transfer the dishes to the table and send the robot back to wherever it hangs out. She told me it was very helpful and even offered to demo it for me. Here is an old school diner with point of sale checkout machines and a robot. Cool.

No chance of getting a hamburger there. So we finally decided to go to Mel's Diner! Here we can get whatever we want and a home cooked meal. Jason was our very knowledgeable and professional server. He suggested the chef's special-shrimp scallops and red snapper and a side of vegetable rice. At first I was hesitant because I expected something like you see in a Chinese Buffet. But this was actually very tasty and covered with a light sauce. It also came with soup or salad. Dave got the salad and I got the chicken noodle soup. I wanted matzoh ball soup but there was a $3 up charge for a cup. The soup should have been called chicken veggie with two noodles. Very disappointing. We opted to share an order of rice pudding and it was served in an ice cream sundae glass with whipped cream. Delish!
