I've never been to a Waffle House until now. My BFF said that things are always going down at the Waffle House. ??? Yo no se... My son and his friends wanted to go check it out (maybe to see if something was going to go down), so we went for dinner. It was fine. There were two other parties there when we arrived, so it was pretty empty. We sat at the counter so we could watch them cooking. Our server was friendly and took our order quickly. Not sure what happened when she read the order to the cook, because two of the dishes we ordered were missing the grilled onions we asked for. Maybe things got lost in translation. Instead of taking our orders back and putting the onions in for us, the cook just plated the onions and our server gave them to us to put in our food ourselves. I got about a tablespoon of onion so I had to strategically spread them around my sandwich (which by the way looked super sad) so that I could get some onion in each bite. The food was average. We had to order waffles while at the Waffle House and they were ok too. The entire time we were there, the cook had RBF and looked annoyed and like she was ready to go home. The restaurant itself is kind of depressing. No background music, plain decor, sad employees.... Nothing about this place makes me want to come back. Food - All was horrible, either burnt or undercooked and when was cooked right it just felt off. Service - It was okay but from the conversations in the kitchen it sounded like no one understood what was going on in there or that everyone had poor communication skills. Ambiance - The building is in a strip which already takes off points from the known waffle house building, the music in there isn't the normal music that would be played, all of it being more modern pop than usual old country and etc, the building isn't familiar with the normal wrap around seating around the kitchen, and over all it just felt wrong. It's bustling first thing in the morning and everyone is doing their job--like a a well-oiled machine. We sat at the counter and watched the crew in action. The best seats imo. Best Waffle House in Orlando! The food came out quickly and our server was the kindest woman. It's clean and conveniently located on international drive. I ordered the all star special with a plain waffle, hash browns and 4 cheesy scrambled eggs instead of the side meats because I don't like pork. The hash browns were perfectly crispy, the eggs had the perfect amount of cheese despite the extra eggs, and the waffle was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside like it should be. My friends' and my husband's food were cooked well and they enjoyed it. Our cups were always refilled, our orders were correct despite modifications and we were served with kindness and a smile. Stopping by on a Friday night, it wasn't too busy about 5-6 groups, but they seemed really understaffed (God bless the workers here for working their butt off). They were super nice, you may need to wait a little while. Ordered the waffles and some hash browns and I must say their waffles are amazing! Add on that butter and syrup and you'll have a delicious dessert! The hash browns was a little undercook and bland, but I took it home, threw it on a pan and added some butter and it was so much better. You may need to tell them to cook it longer. Came here for brunch around 11am and there was a line of about 3 groups ahead of us. You write your name down on a paper list and they'll call your name. Credit cards and cash accepted. An automatic 10% gratuity is added for takeout orders. Indoor dining available. There's a free parking lot. Portions weren't as big as I was expecting, but the prices were super reasonable. You definitely get the American diner experience. I got the Texas Cheesesteak Bacon Melt which came with a side of hash browns. A solid Waffle House! My family was on vacation and was hankering some waffles. Lucky for us, just around the corner was a Waffle House! We popped in on a Sunday morning and boy was it busy. PRO TIP: Sign your name in at the cash register to be put on the wait list. The staff was phenomenal. While we were third or fourth on the waitlist-- we got at table in no time. Not only did they turn tables fast but our waitress was friendly and attentive. Additionally, the food came out quickly and made to perfection. My kiddos inhaled their waffles. My over easy eggs were cooked well. The bacon was worth the price (portion-wise and quality) and the coffee didn't stop flowing. And, AND I really was jamming to their music selections. Can't beat some JaRule and JLo was you inhale breakfast. I will say-- pricing is on point at Waffle House. Three orders of hash browns, four eggs, six slices of bacon, two sausages, two coffees, two apple juices, three waffles and loads of toast was under $45. Everyone left satisfied and full. I've seen this location wall to wall busy, and we've been here twice when we are the only table in the restaurant for our entire stay! I prefer the latter. When it isn't busy, I usually have a nice chat with our waitress or another front of house employee. They're always super sweet!! As far as food, you gotta go with that all star special. Definitely best bang for your buck. I always get the chocolate chip waffle, eggs over medium, toast, double hash brown, and a side of extra crispy bacon. Food is always cooked perfectly, and the all star special comes with so much food that I usually take home most of the waffle. This is literally the worst Waffle House I've ever been to. It's newer looking than most, but it's a definite tourist trap. Our server was one of the worst servers I've ever had in my life. It took 15 minutes to have our drink orders taken. At a Waffle House??? Usually you've ordered and are already eating within 15 minutes. She didn't seem to know how to put our order in. She yelled it out in bits over several minutes. So no wonder everything was wrong. First my combo came, well, part of it. I got a plate with eggs, hash browns and toast. No bacon or waffle. She had forgotten to tell them cheese on my eggs, so she took my plate away, had them put cheese in my eggs, the whole time, my toast and hash browns just sitting on the counter getting cold. Meanwhile the person making bacon would make 12 plates at a time and then let it sit there getting cold. My blueberry waffle was made and sat on the counter for at least 10 minutes before they finally handed it to me. So when I got my food the only thing hot was the eggs. I complained and she said "it's all hot." Well, how could it be, when it all sat on the counter for 10 minutes? When she brought the check, she said she didn't charge me for the waffle. Well, the waffle was part of my combo, and she charged me full price for the combo. Actually, she overcharged me 50 cents for the combo. So I definitely didn't get anything for free. It was even more offensive when she couldn't get the check correct. This woman had no business working at such a busy restaurant. But in fairness, the rest of the other servers all seemed pretty low energy with bad attitudes too, so it seems like that's just the vibe at this location.
