This is one of the toughest decision we've ever had to make. Do you go to the Waffle House or better yet Bojangles that's next door? We struggled with this decision to. Do you get a Bo Berry Biscuit? Or stick with a Waffle House greasy special? Either way you're going to get plenty of good sweet tea and an affordable meal. At this particular Waffle House the service was fine and we have nothing to complain about. How could you when you were the only two people in the restaurant? On a side note crispy bacon means crispy rather than charred but will give them an a for effort. Eating at the Waffle House is no secret any of us and doesn't require a special review. If you're looking for a extra affordable meal with below-average food this place will hit the spot.

On our most recent trip, we sat outside and had excellent service. The food came out quickly, which was a nice surprise, and everything was on point. I ordered the jerk chicken grilled sandwich with pub fries--both were really good, packed with flavor, and cooked perfectly. The place has a very cool, eclectic vibe with a unique atmosphere, plus a solid beer selection to round it out. Great spot overall--highly recommend.

The outdoor area can be loud due to its close proximity to the busy street. Not really much of a view; just the parking area and passing cars. Plenty of parking in front and to the side. They do have an inside dining area, but the host didn't give us that option. Our waitress was nice but wasn't very knowledgeable about the food; I asked her if the shrimp poboy came on hard or soft bread. She said soft so I ordered that. It was toasted to the point of being rock hard; actually cut my lip on it. Otherwise the poboy was pretty good, just hard to eat. The wife enjoyed her burger, but it wasn't anything special. And neither of us cared much for their side of chips; it's clearly their attempt to be different by not serving the usual French fries. But in our opinions, it's a fail. They were neither a tasty potato chip nor a fry, but something in between, that even ketchup couldn't make tasty. Interesting place to visit once, but I doubt we'll be back.

You do not hear this kind of silence in restaurants most of the time now, but after a busy day in shopping centers blaring music all day, it was so refreshing. The staff were amazing. They seemed a little shorthanded, but they handled everything with a cheery, laid-back attitude that made me feel at ease. Felt like a fun place to work based on the attitude of the workers alone. I had the slow-roasted turkey breast with mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, glazed baby carrots, and cranberry on the side. Every item was delectable. So flavorful and comforting. And the rolls and butter served with it are among the best bread you'll get at any restaurant. This restaurant is pretty far from me. There used to be one in Bristol, VA, but it closed years ago. I make it a point to come here around my birthday, and I'd come here a lot more often if I could! I'd love to have the opportunity to try other items on the menu and just support an amazing chain. My only complain about my visit was that there was a bit of an odor of some food that I just personally didn't like. I don't know if it was broccoli or fried shrimp. I'm not sure if it was in the kitchen or wafting from the plates on the table behind us that were not removed during the entirety of our visit. But I'm not taking off a star for it. I could've just asked to sit somewhere else and it probably would've been fine. I am overall thrilled with my visit, and I cannot recommend this place enough. It was even better than when I came last year. It has never tasted so good. And the price wasn't bad, either! I am once again begging y'all to come to Abingdon or Bristol or something. After Cracker Barrel's recent fumbles (and not a lot of real competition), the old folks (and there are many) and nostalgia-lovers (like me) need a quiet place like this to meet for breakfast and enjoy church dinners. I cannot imagine anything but success (and I guarantee they'll get a lot of business and free advertising from me!!) so please consider coming our way! I'll run the bloomin' place myself if I have to!

I ordered the Gyro Platter $17.99, and one 16-ounce Hawaiian Shirt IPA $5.00. Pepper shakers at the bar were filthy and had not been cleaned. I noticed that the front inner door STILL had a homemade sign on it ( please use the other door)! From my previous service with the US Government, I informed the staff once again that the door being locked or broken was a VIOLATION of the National Fire Safety Code! One member of the staff, who identified herself as a manager, retorted that the door had been broken for years, as she walked away and refused to give her name when asked. Since both doors are required to be open in case of a fire, panic, or an active shooter issue, I found her nonchalant reply UNACCEPTABLE! I reported the violation to the Johns City, fire prevention officer, Keven Hanes, both in email and by telephone message! Knowingly violating fire codes can result in fines, lawsuits, or even loss of business licence! I do pray that Johnson City will investigate this issue and take appropriate action. As of now, this broken door violation has fully served. Fire kills thousands of people in our country every year, locking or not repairing broken exit doors is nothing short of CRIMINAL! SAFETY IS EVERYONE'S BUSINESS! Let them not wait until another group dies, unable to exit!
