While I know that no Waffle House is a fine dining experience, this Waffle House was absolutely awful. When we walked through the door, only about 25% of the tables were occupied, but there wasn't a single clean table in the restaurant. The waitress called out "Sit wherever you want and I'll clean it off after." Just what I want to do...sit down at a table covered in other people's dirty dishes. The floors obviously hadn't been swept all day (maybe for several days). There was a half-eaten piece of bacon under my feet among the other food particles. Every table seemed to be this way. There were even bread crusts in the floor behind the counter. Someone finally came out to bus the tables behind us, but never washed them off. When the waitress took my order, I asked for a sausage hashbrown bowl but with jalapeños instead of sausage. She told me I could order hashbrowns with anything I wanted, so I shouldn't get the bowl. I said "But there's no egg on the hashbrown list. I want the egg that's in the bowl. I just want to add jalapeños." She said okay and left. A few minutes later, she came over to tell us she had to go to the bathroom. Ummm...ew. Then she started lecturing us about coronavirus and how the problem is people who eat animals that shouldn't be eaten. She went on and on about how certain animals aren't made to be eaten and some people think they can eat any animal they want and blah blah blah. As a vegetarian, I don't believe ANY animals should be eaten, so this was annoying, hypocritical, and honestly racist. I just ignored her loud rant and looked out the window. Soooo much time went by before we finally heard the kitchen staff call out our orders. Great. I was freezing in that place because the a/c was cranked up and I was ready to eat and get out of there. A bit later, we heard them talk about the order again. It took about 15 minutes before we ever got our food. Like I said, the restaurant was only about 25% full. Food finally came out and I had no jalapeños. (I might have thought that they couldn't add things to these bowls, but my mom had onions added to hers. So go figure.) At this point, I just wanted to leave, so I didn't complain. I simply asked for salsa. The waitress asked if picante sauce was okay and I said sure. She went to get it and was gone for several minutes. I watched her talk to someone in what seemed like the break room, then talk to new customers who entered. She then did something at the register. All the while, my picante was still in her hand. Finally, she brought it to me. I stirred it into my lukewarm hashbrown bowl and ate as quickly as I could. We never did get our bill, but luckily we could just go to the register without it. I will not be eating here again. read more

This is the waffle house you go to if the one in Starkville is overran by the hordes after a game. They will serve you, mainly with a smile. The quality of the food is waffle house, and it varies based on how many people are in there and the overall status of intoxication. The food was good. It has always been served quickly here and is usually correct. More than most waffle houses can say, but I've never been to a bad Waffle House. The waitresses get to you when they get to you, which is the standard experience Your check varies in price from time to time, even if your order stays the same. It is the same greasy food that can touch deep into your drunken soul better than any other. Waffle House isn't meant to be a Michelen star restaurant, it's supposed to be a place for anyone. I live in West Point, and I have never been able to place a call in order from this Waffle House no matter what time of day it is. Earlier I was parked outside of the place, and there were no customers inside. I could see 3 or so workers behind the counter while i called,but they literally ignored the phone call and kept bullcrapping around. The service was delightful! Our waitress was kind and knowledgeable, the wait was very short for how many people were inside, and the food was delicious. Only issue was the bacon being over cooked. The other staff were very kind as well. Over all great experience and clean restaurant. read more

Let me say that we travel all over this country and stop at Waffle Houses a lot. I'd give this place a 0 if I could but it want let me,so a 1 is it,let me begin. My wife and I went there for breakfast this morning it started out poor and only went downhill from there, service was absolutely dismal, it's hard to mess up breakfast but this place proved that they could excel at that endeavor. I ordered the all star breakfast with ham and a side of bacon,double order of hash browns with ham and tomatoes added to the hash browns so we could share the meal. After 45 minutes food was somewhat served everything was cold, ham burnt, half the order of hash browns was served we finally got the rest of the hash browns after we had finished breakfast, they were plain and greasy,Yuck! Oh by the way did I say service was the pits. We were there an hour and 15 minutes.I got one refill of coffee and had to ask for it. Every business is a reflection of the management and the employees,this Waffle House represents poor choices on both management and who they hire. This particular restaurant got the last dollar from me it will ever see. read more
