DO NOT send your dog here!!! After spending 3 nights there my 2 frenchies became extremely ill and had to be hospitalized. After contacting their on-site management team to inform them that my 3 yr old and 4 month old frenchies had pneumonia and tested positive for coronavirus immediately following their visit to their facility, They tried to blame it on my dogs receiving faulty vaccinations that failed them. No accountability, no suggestion of a refund and a blanket "sometimes that happens when they socialize with other dogs". My dogs are socialized and have been to other facilities! 100% blame on a vaccine that my 3 year old has been receiving from the same vet for 3 years! And he was the sickest out of the 2. For a place that's supposed to care for and love animals I was appalled at their lack of care or concern for mine. It was instant blame on their vaccines. A direct quote from Wag Atlanta "we recommend reaching out to the manufacturer of the Bordetella vaccine Prince and Cassius received to let them know that their vaccine failed. Vaccine manufacturers will often cover the medical expenses on a failed vaccine"! This is absurd !! No Cheyenne they got sick from your establishment. If you want to spend over $500 boarding your fur babies and another $2500 in Vet bills after you pick them up.... Then this is the place for you! Shameful. read more

Unfortunately, after 3 years of using Wag as my pup's boarding place, I'm no longer able to recommend them. In fact, I feel like I have to warn anyone AGAINST using them as it is no longer a safe or clean place for pups. For years, I had no issue. They were friendly, May loved them, and I had no complaints. The past couple of times have been a nightmare. In September, May (my fur baby) was injured within 1/2 day of her 3 day stay. I only found out because absolutely no one noticed she was bleeding and they sent a report card with her picture. I immediately noticed the issue and called them. They said they didn't know what happened or when but promised to clean the wound and let me know if there were any further issues. I picked her up and noticed she had scratched her ears while there and was scabbed and bleeding. The other injury to her face was healing well though so, I managed to have a conversation with the supervisor, Max, and let him know I was dissapointed. I appreciated that he seemed proactive and that someone else higher up also reached out to handle the issue and I was assured they would be making changes to prevent issues like this in the future. I was hesitant to bring May back but decided to bring her back for a 1 night stay and test it out. After all, I had only had the 1 issue before. I left her and the next day, I called around 1pm and let them know I would be delayed picking her up (scheduled for 3:30pm) and asked them to feed her since I'd be there after their dinner feeding time. I mentioned I had left an extra bag, as usual. The lady that answered assured me May was doing great and she was about to be taken out for a little play time and they would feed her. When I arrived around 8:30pm, the first thing the person at the counter said was "who are you picking up?" I was a little taken aback by the unfriendliness since I had never experienced that but I still said hello and gave my pet's name. She called for her to be brought up, still no other words spoke, and went to grab something in the back. She came back and handed me the extra bag of food I had left. I was obviously confused and asked her if that meant May had not been fed as I had requested. She just said "I don't know, I just got here" with an attitude and kept walking. At that point, I was really concerned and was starting to get upset so I mentioned that I had called earlier and asked for them to feed her as well as the fact that this was the 2nd time she was not properly cared for and how dissapointing that was. She shrugged and went to the back and they brought May out. The supervisor, Max, also came out and asked if anyone asked to speak to a manager. I mentioned what happed and he just said "well, i know i can't change your mind". No apologies, nothing. Even after I mentioned that what upset me the most was the lack of kindness and customer service from the person at the register. To make matters worse, once i got home with May, I noticed she had a new cut above her eye and some questionable stains around her neck - see new pictures. If you opt to leave your pet here, I strongly advise you check for any injuries when you pick them up. May is white and everything stands out and it's easy to tell if something is not right but it's not so with dogs of any other color. It's a shame that they've gotten so bad so far read more

USE WAG ATLANTA AT YOUR OWN PERIL!!! They gave my dog's food to another dog, & I asked if they gave my dog the other dog's food & they said no, but I'm not trusting that. My dog has food allergies & is on a specialized diet. This is the 3rd incident that I've had with Wag & I've come to the conclusion that they are not trustworthy. I just reached out to two active Vet Technician friends of mine who both said, "I told you to stop taking your dog there because doggy daycare & boarding facilities are profit-driven & don't take care of dogs like they should". They both reminded me that none of the people who work at their Vet hospitals use these facilities. So, I ended up at Wag because a friend told me about them, but she did not say don't use them, rather try if you want & see if I may have a different experience. She said her daughter used Wag because she worked at the airport & it's convenient; and since it's not her dog, & if it was she probably would not use them because the dog never seemed quite right at pick up, & it takes a couple days for him to become alive again. She said it wasn't fatigue & did not like that her granddog seemed unhappy. I could go on a long diatribe, but I'm not, so I'll just say this, Wag is ridiculously expensive (prices go up March 1st), & not much different from a puppy mill where it's profit over the dog, & you have to question what do they do to your dog while in their care. Your pet could be their next screw. I also shared my experience with my social media dog groups, & one person said they quit working (not a disgruntled former employee) at Wag, & that I did the right thing by terminating the relationship. Lastly, the kicker was that they blamed the mixup on a new staff member. How ratchet & tacky could an employer be to blame a new employee when the problem is the employer; the problem is Wag. Oh, Kingsley, is a waste.....she offered me $5 for the mixup & had a very dismissive attitude as if it was no big deal. What a ratchet-ass establishment. read more

Chloe absolutely loves staying there--it's like a little vacation for her while I'm out of town! Long live doggy daycare! As a traveling pet mommy to a feisty little chihuahua, when I'm out of town it's important to know that my Babs is in safe and loving hands. So when I moved to Atlanta and had to find a new boarder/daycare, I wasn't too excited lol. Once you get comfortable with a team, you can struggle to find the same vibes or better elsewhere. Well, lucky me - I did! After looking through Yelp reviews for local pet boarders, I stumbled upon Wag. With boarding and daycare options, there was ample flexibility available for booking. I loved their super cute themed suites and the tiny dog suite section! Just because they can't verbalize it to us, doesn't mean that our dogs don't want the best! Understanding that, it's a real treat that I can add on goodies like a full grooming package, ice cream, extra sun time and more for my little baby while she's there. I'll be honest, when I dropped her off on her first visit, it was super late, I was exhausted and irritable and wasn't happy that I had to wait outside to check-in, despite them taking in my dog LOL. If was like 10pm and I am a small woman so I was a litttle iffy on that, BUT - BUT - when I saw that the front desk staff were all young women and I snapped out of it and immediately understood that it seemed to be a safety protocol. Good for you, Team Wag - safety first! When I picked her up from her last visit, the team seemed to just be happy to be at work (like, what a fun job!) and so happy to help! They gave me a report on my baby and it was the sweetest. While I was away, I even got to check out pics of my little one playing with her new friends via the Wag Facebook account! Wag Atlanta is the absolute best decision ever made for my dog. I travel for work quite often. My dog absolutely loves this daycare. It's become her second home. The staff is extremely friendly and they make her feel like part of the family. They know her by name as soon as she walks in. Outrageous prices especially for returning customers. Place smells horrible and my dog has come home several times with sores on his back feet. Pricing was my most recent issue but in looking back at the experiences I've had with WAG there are more than 5 instances. 1) Paid to have Ruger's nails trimmed - they didn't do this but still charged me. Told me they would do it next time. 2) Ruger got kennel cough from here 3) sores on his back feet from sleeping on the ground 4) Employees had a hard time figuring out his harness and put it on him wrong multiple times 5) Temporary collars - I've requested to have them use an extension when putting these on him - he's a big guy. My dog has stayed at Wag more than 90 days over the last couple years, and they have no loyalty program for repeat customers. They charged me $74 for one overnight stay - 24 hrs. Overnight is $49. I dropped him off at 7p the night before and picked him up at 7p the next day. They said they had to charge a late pick up fee. It's not good business. It's cheaper to have someone come to my house and take care of him. read more

I really hate to leave this review but I've reached my breaking point. I have been going to Wag for almost five years with multiple dogs (basically since they have been open), but they have just changed so much and all for the worse. No matter how many times I go in the same week I almost never ever see the same employee twice. The turnover must be incredible. I could speculate as to why but I won't. Also, it seems like they are being forced into hiring less and less experienced people in their first or second jobs which maybe isn't necessarily the best idea when you're working so closely with people's furry friends. And it seems to be pretty much unsupervised work in a very non-transparent setting. They really should have a member of senior staff on duty 24hrs. I know that no one wants to work overnights but there must be a better way than leaving those kids unsupervised with people's pets. This is a care business after all, and when it seems like they don't care about you as a customer it's hard to believe they care any more about your dogs- who can't speak up and complain. It's also noticeable that many of the negative reviews are from long long time customers not just people who've gone a couple of times and had something go wrong and just got on the internet to complain. I never write reviews but I felt very strongly about this one. The one thing I haven't found at any other daycare though is being open 24 hours. I guess that's why I stayed as long as I did even though I had more and more doubts. I will add that the smell people refer to in other reviews is ammonia. They use it to clean out the kennels. Then the dogs lay in it because they don't dry them out or rinse them down. No big deal I guess but it does stink sometimes. read more

Best place for day care or overnight visits! if you are traveling out of Hartsfield Jackson airport. Facility is clean and pleasantly sanitized when I arrived and did my tour . Can't begin to tell you how particular staff members are energetic enthusiastic and caring when it comes to hosting your pups. I've seen patrons come and go with feeling confident with drop offs and pick ups. It's a very personalized service for the most part, although I have not seen my favorite attendants who buddied with our two pets in a while. Wondering about the turn over... There are many service options to choose if you want the extras. They offer pet boarding and day care with a focus on your pet's happiness. Also, they offer our guests hours that are convenient for your busy life wiitboarding 24/7 and daycare 6 am-10 pm. This review was sitting my my cue for a while before I posted up. Thus far I've had a great experience with WAG. Two friends recommended WAG for my puppy, Ivy, and today we gave it a try. The staff was super helpful and friendly when it came to getting her set up for her first day of daycare. They thoroughly explained the registration process and what to expect for daycare for my dog. The following day, I dropped her off and I like that there is an early drop off and I can bring her in and get settled before work. I also like the option of late pick up and that the facility is open 24/7. I'm pretty sure my puppy enjoyed her first day care experience and had a good time playing. The staff gladly provided me updates when I called to check in on Ivy. Overall, I feel like this was a great first day care experience and I am looking to bring Ivy back for daycare and eventually boarding. The facility appears to be very clean, staff is professional and helpful, pricing is reasonable and location is perfect t for me! I would give 5 stars but I would have liked for this facility to have cameras so you can ensure your dog is doing ok for yourself. I've read reviews but good and bad but both kinds state that cameras in the facility would be nice to have. I hope they consider this feedback and invest in cameras. read more

My baby girl was a returning client and things didn't go very well this time. I received a call from Wag in which it was explained to me that they were moving my baby to another group. I asked why and I was told that it's not because she did anything wrong. They claimed it was because she was larger than they realized. I also requested a bath for her, but when I got her home I realized her eye was infected and they did not bathe her. I carried her to the Vet and $200 later, my baby was on eye meds for 2wks!!! As for the bath, the late night crew tied a bandana on her to appear that she'd been bathed. Such deception! read more

After now 2 bad experiences and a second chance, we will never return to Wag Atlanta. The level of care my dog receives while we are not there is worrisome, as now I have many stories of lackluster care. More than once my dog has been returned to me and was clearly not given his treats and toys during his stay as they're unused, evident as they were still new and unchewed, the second time that has happened. For his most recent stay, he did not eat meals and I was not notified until I called myself and asked for an update. We have been multiple times to stay for boarding in the bark Avenue suites that include TVs and more space. Last time, I received a call at 3:30pm saying my dog had broken the window in his suite and needed to be demoted to a suite without windows or TVs. My dog is not destructive at all, he has never chewed a shoe, door, wall. I asked, "he broke a glass window?". She clarified he did not break a window, he chewed the wood surrounding the window and had popped out the screen. I asked to speak to the manager and was shocked to hear it was this young girl so unprofessional and insecure with the news-delivery shown by her nervous laughter. She said he was fine and not lethargic, I asked how they would know so soon? THEN she told me the truth that it occurred this morning and I was notified 6-7 hours after the matter. I should've been notified immediately after the incident, not later in the afternoon. I was also told my dog would be given a yak chew for purchase at the front, I asked if it was given to him and she said no, that they were a hazard and dogs aren't supervised in their rooms, however I've asked this before and it's been done. I told her there are inconsistencies within the front desk staff and her and she did not like being told that. We returned to pick him up at 10:04 pm in the freezing cold and staff workers walking by as the front desk receptionist kept me locked outside. She wanted to charge my card on file and I said I could hand her one to swipe, she said no and made me read her a credit card number aloud. If I'm paying $88 a night for my dog I would like to be let inside for my safety. It should be 12pm instead of 10pm if you affiliate with the airport. I wish I could've returned to pick him up immediately and I can only imagine what happened to make my dog alter his behavior and become destructive and long enough to pop and chew a window screen. Don't we send our dogs to be looked after? If not supervised during the night, or during the day, when are the dogs watched? Only when playing outside? Take your pets elsewhere for better care and to avoid a rude and unprofessional manager staff. read more

Dog smelled very weird when we picked her up. Also seemed exhausted even though she wasn't supposed to be in group play etc. I won't ever be returning. I don't know what happened behind that closed door they take the dogs through but I sure as heck won't be exposing my dog to whatever happened there again. I'll never know why my dog smelled of piss etc since she is very well house broken and crate trained but I'm sure it won't be happening at this place with my dog again. I should have paid more attention to other reviews talking about the smell etc. I am kicking myself and feel so guilty for taking my dog to this place. This review is a little late but a long time coming. We chose to board our two small dogs (cavapoo and shih tzu) at WAG ATL for a 5-night overnight stay while we went on vacation. We board our dogs all the time (and at times for longer trips) at another boarder but chose WAG because their hours worked better with our travel plans. Before even boarding them I inquired via phone if they needed a trial peiod. Needed to do a day camp to see how the acclimated, etc but was told they would be fine and none of that was needed. (Hindsight is 20/20. Go with your better mind) We dropped them off early in the morning and caught a flight to Florida. When we landed on the ground we had no less than three 2-minute long voicemails from the "manager" Ziya telling us our shih tzu was refusing to come out of her kennel, refusing to let staff near her and had peed and defected on herself. (Yet the cavapoo was doing wonderful and was an angel) After several long phone conversations and no real other options we cancelled our vacation and jumped on the first thing flying back to Atlanta. BEFORE even rebooking our flight we confirmed with Ziya that we were headed back ASAP and she assured us there would be NO CHARGE for this debacle. When we landed and went to pick up the pups - the whole tune had changed. Ziya was gone. The staff at the front - mainly Iyana- said there would be a charge. We told her that Ziya said different. On several occasions - Iyanna refused to get the manager who was there - Josh - for us to speak to. Finally when Josh did come to the front (to deliver our dogs) he also said there would be no charge. Rewind 4 days later and we were only partially refunded the full amount we prepaid so we called to talked to Ziya who must have had a sudden case of amnesia with a dose of attitude because she claimed she NEVER said it would be no charge. She also refused to tell us how reach any manager above her - would not provide us a name or email contact. When we did speak to the head manager - Kinsley - who is a dream - she confirmed that by pulling the recorded phone call and interaction in the lobby - we were told no charge and our money was refunded in full. Immediately. My bad review is not about the safety of this facility or their inability to care for my dog. I have discussed in detail with Kinsey how they handle dogs and it just isn't the place for my rescue puppy who may have had trauma the first years of her life that we don't know about. The fact they don't let the dogs walk our or kennels on their own and strangers reach in to them was too much for her. We know that now and can move forward and do to the place she has never had issues at. My issue with WAG is their treatment is their human customers. Has everything gone smoothly - I would still think twice before buying patronizing their business due to the attitude of Iyanna and Ziya. Customer service goes a long way and theirs is lacking. I will say I never - at any time - even with everything that happened felt my fur babies were harmed, in danger or in anyway neglected. It's just not the place for us. Kinsley is a dream. A pleasure to talk to and knowledgeable. The other staff could afford to be trained by her. read more

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars but after boarding my dog here twice at the end of October I noticed something with his paw. My dog's paw looked weird about 2 weeks after boarding I took him to the vet and turns out he got CPV (canine papilloma virus). I was completely shocked as I have always had a healthy dog who has never boarded until now. My vet says my dog must have gotten it from a contaminated dog at the facility and now has to be quarantined for 2 months as he is contagious. This is completely unacceptable, unfortunately I cannot bring my dog back here. Really disheartening and has cost me a vet bill to get him better. read more

The last time I was here, the place smelled sooooo bad. My dog got kennel cough, and they did not give him his medication, even though I paid for it. This place used to be great with the private suites. Usually I call each day to check on my dog, but every time I called the phone just rang and rang. I got through once and they told me he was fine, but I could tell the person on the phone didn't know much about my dog. COVID must've hit the staffing hard. Wag was super cute. This is my first time ever going to a dog care facility. I went to pick-up my neighbor's dog who was there 5 days. The business is located close to the airport & only a 8-minute drive from my home near Hapeville. Parking was located directly in front of the building. The staff immediately greeted me with a warm welcome upon entrance. The air was filled with the friendly sound of dogs barking. When I arrived Duke was enjoying the pool with other dogs. He was brought to me once they dried him off. He seemed very happy & comfortable with the staff. The balance was around $117 for 5 days.
